The place the girl slammed her hand on turned red. It was glowing and emitting a fierce, murderous aura. The air around her started shaking and became windy. The pressure was enough to asphyxiate the surrounding goblins.
Soon, a figure materialized. Slowly, it started to take form. It seemed like the wind itself was afraid of the creature and bowed down to pay respect. Indeed. It was the Godly-Dragon, Bane Wyrm.
“I, Avina Liaimon, shall exterminate the mutant goblins!” The girl roared and the Godly-Dragon summoned by her reciprocated her emotions by giving off its own roar.
The Bane Wyrm soared through the vast, empty sky befitting the species known to be the ‘Rulers of the Sky’.
Then, Avina smirked as she saw the incoming goblins and raised both her hands toward the heavens.
The ascending Bane Wyrm quickly turned its head and descended in Avina’s direction. She leapt onto the dragon’s back when it neared her.
“Bany, decimate ‘em.”
In the next second, a purple fog covered the entire battlefield. It was infused with poison. The goblins started crying out and screaming before they held their throat and fell to the ground.
Avina snapped her finger, and numerous monsters emerged from the ground. The pupils stared at her awe-struck and began to push the goblin’s ranks.
“Hahahahaha! That’s how you raise morale!” Avina had a proud expression on her face.
Elias watched Avina run amok and thought to himself, “Hmm, it seems like Avina has been giving it her all too huh.”
Elias smiled and just before he got ready to go on his own rampage, someone exclaimed.
“Hey! I won’t be left behind!”
It was Lucas.
Elias was dumbfounded as he stared at Lucas’ back. Where was he all this while? Where do Avina and Lucas disappear off to? This has happened all the time. Elias got a bit irritated due to the feeling of being left-out.
“Spatial Void!”
The moment those words escaped his mouth, the ground rumbled slightly. Then, the ground turned dark beneath the mutant goblins. They got sucked in with a ‘Fwooosh!’. He repeatedly cast the skill until more than half the goblin army disappeared.
“Oh my god! He did it!”
“Hooray!”
…
People were already celebrating. They would soon clean up the rest too.
----------------------------------------
The ‘Gray Order’ was stationed at the Portal ‘Z’. Naturally, Borna was also there. She gave her unit one last morale push and looked toward the emerging monsters from the portal.
The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation.
“You see those nasty things? Don’t worry about them. Think of them as normal goblins and keep pushing forward. These creatures are nothing compared to the Keepers of the Dungeon or the Godly-Dragons.”
The soldiers nodded simultaneously.
The reason why the ‘Gray Order’ was the crème de la crème was because all of them were experienced. They were all above age forty, fifty. They had participated in this war at least twenty times by now. And still going on, determined to eradicate the mutant goblins one day.
Since the Gray Order was the best of the best elite unit, naturally, its commander had the most influence among the elite forces. So, Borna became the unofficial commander of the Portal ‘Z’ defense forces.
“All units, charge! Sacrifice yourselves for the greater good!”
The entire battle ground rumbled heavily from the personnel’s roars. Then, they surged forward, breaking the ranks of the mutant goblins with ease. Adrenaline is no joke.
Kuwack!
Argh!
Keghuk!
The goblins died like maggots. The common personnel basically didn’t have to get involved that much because the elite forces took care of the incoming waves of goblins. But still, only a quarter of the goblin forces were eliminated. There were still more coming through from the portal.
“Urgh, this won’t do.” Borna uttered those words and unsheathed her sword.
To minimize smaller casualties, sometimes, a bigger sacrifice was needed. And just like that, Borna planned to avoid getting her comrades killed like last time and came forward to defend them. She did say to ‘sacrifice themselves for the greater good’, but she hadn't meant it by heart. It was only meant to boost their morale.

Her blade emitted a golden glow and she raised it to her eye-level. Then, she lowered it to her waist-level and lowered her body along with it.
In the next second, with the help of her Level 200 Agility, she dashed forward. Everytime she dashed forward, she cut twenty mutant goblins. She repeated this cycle until more than half the Goblin forces were eliminated.
[The skill, Soundwave Manipulation Lv.25 (+10), is activating!]
She swung her sword in a beautiful arc. Invisible waves of sound escaped her blade and struck groups of goblins.
Slash! Peesh!
How long did she do it? She kept swinging her sword. It was so fast that her blade disappeared each time she swung it.
Then, finally the initial wave of the Portal ‘Z’ was resisted successfully.
Now, they had to leave for Portal ‘Y’ because that's where ‘they’ would appear.
----------------------------------------
On the other part of the battlefield, the soldiers resisting the Portal ‘X’ could be seen. They too, had succeeded in resisting the first wave. They screamed with joy.
But things weren't over yet. Rather, the main apocalyptic thing would emerge now. The reason why Humans lost again and again. Even after fighting for all of eternity…
After celebrating some more, they quickly left for Portal ‘Y’.
----------------------------------------
In the Portal ‘Y’ battlefield where Elias was stationed at, the initial wave was successfully resisted. Now, the ominous ray of aura emanating from the portal strengthened and became dense. Some people puked and some held their heads while screaming.
Dun!
It had begun. The drum sounds.
Dun! Dun! Dun! Dun! Dun! Dun! Dun! Dun! Dun! Dun! Dun! Dun! Dun! Dun! Dun! Dun!
Dun! Dun! Dun! Dun! Dun! Dun! Dun! Dun! Dun! Dun! Dun! Dun! Dun! Dun! Dun! Dun!
The Final Wave.
It began shortly after the Giant Mutant Goblins emerged from the portal. However, they were only pawns in this wave. The major pieces emerged behind them. The Goblin Dragons soared through the sky along with the Goblin generals.
And next, ‘they’ made their appearance. The prophet and the messenger of the Goblin-God, the Goblin-King, Aramelion.
