35. Moves
Charadach of the Chenep had invaded Hunur territory with 35,000 cavalry, and some 500 Church of Light priests, a formidable army even without the literal firepower. Hunur commanded 10,000 Vizi clansmen and 10,000 Hunur from the central clan, racing toward his men he told them to worship the God of Battle, and they did so dutifully. Again he raced off on ahead to face the enemy commander and to slay him. Such heroics compelled his men to brace with the incoming charge and to fight. A massive roar, and the clash of metal was heard, with the horses whinnying in panic at the macabre spectacle about to unfold. It began raining, turning the flat ground boggy, as the cavalry armies began lethargically murdering each other. Spendius raced through and murdered the general and his retinue, knives and spears flew into officers’ heads. Men fell to the floor coughing blood, blades retrieved and thrown into a new set of officers. One man even managed to parry a blow, only for another blade to hit the man’s stomach and for him to come crumpling into the ground. The Chenep heavy cavalry stayed true, but much of the lighter cavalry heard the commotion of their commander dying, immediately breaking into flight. Spendius came to the heavier units and killed their officers, which precipitated the entire army breaking down and disintegrating, the heavier units surrendered themselves to Mendek’s hand. The battle was a crushing blow to the Chenep and despite Spendius’s own men losing some 6000 in the beginning, and were generally not in condition for further operations, Spendius hired some 3000 cavalry mercenaries and marched on to take the Chenep. Spendius marched with gusto, capturing the Chenep ruler on a hunt, his golden flag swords and axes now adorning the Chenep main camp instead of the brown flag with a golden flame. Spendius opened the chief’s tent and a red haired woman looked at him in a most confused manner.
“What happened to Charadach?” A guard said.
“I have captured him,” Spendius said, “these lands are my lands, you people are now my people.”
“The blue clan leader, and the leader of Chenep…” a man whispered in awe.
“How?” The woman said, “no. Hail Spendius of Mendek. Ruler of Chenep,” she said, kneeling on one knee, “for all intents and purposes you are the clan leader of the Blue clan.”
Spendius walked over to the throne room, hides and furs laid out, wine on the table, guards looking at him most astonished. He sat down on the throne and said:
“The God of Battle has given me victory over you, submit,” he said, “I am your ruler now.”
The red haired woman sat on his lap and said:
“Chenep is yours,” she said with a smile.
“Good, let us have a feast to the new ruler of Chenep! Me!” Spendius said, to much laughter from his mercenaries.

The previous ruler was put in a humiliating position, chained to a piece of wood outside, meanwhile Spendius had all but coronated himself.
“I am Gorria, leader of the Red clan, the eastern clan, you are Spendius I presume,” she said, her hand extended toward him.
She wore thin almost transparent lace and a pale face, freckles and was an equal height. She led Spendius to her chambers, she had no children with Charadach and she grabbed his dick before undressing his trousers.
“Great emperor, you must be tired from your journeys.”
He watched her take his penis and devour it inside her mouth, pale blue eyes looking up at him as she did so. She took off her blouse and panties before plopping her rear firmly on his erect penis. The bedding was on the floor but it was warm and comfortable, she smacked herself on top of him getting his penis wet with her warmth; it didn’t take long as he soon ejaculated and coated her red pussy hairs in a thick cum. The adrenaline of battle soon subsided into the adrenaline of being inside of this woman, grabbing her round big bottom and taking her from behind, it squeezed all his semen out of him, and she panted in an orgasm.
“You shall be my governor of Chenep,” Spendius said, “raise my child well, I will need other retainers here, I want you by my side.”
“Of course lord,” she said, “you do me great honour.”
He jumped up on top of her.
“Once more!” He said, to giggles from her.
Mercurius made love with Ethra in a much amorous way, she bounced on top of him, and they finished saying they loved one another. Mercurius likewise finished inside of her, deciding they wanted a future together, caring for a family and being husband and wife. He grabbed her bottom having finished twice already and plunged himself inside her vagina. It was wet his cum and her wetness, she soon went into a reverse cowgirl bouncing on top of him before he once again finished inside of her.
“I hope you are with child soon,” Mercurius said, “I love you so much.”
“I love you too,” Ethra said in an amorous smile, “forever.”
“And ever.”
Mercurius never knew such bliss, and yet he knew the world was more dangerous than ever. Reports from Symachus that Spendius had annexed the Chenep and Hunur came off as extremely dangerous.
“Are you thinking about politics again?” Ethra said.
“Sorry, it’s hard not to, it’s hard not to think about that lunatic.”
“I know, it is, isn’t it, “ Ethra said, “he wages war so openly, so brutally.”
Nichomachus and Salutius had been successful in Kanem, the Kingdom was overthrown, their king running eastwards presumably to go to Amoreb or the Raja states.
“What should we do with Kanem then?” Salutius asked Nichomachus.
“I guess we give them a native God of Farming and Water and let them be, they will no longer pose a threat to our southern border… probably,” Nichomachus said.
They did as much, settling one God of Water evangel and God of Farming evangel in their capital city of Kan.
“Should we not administer the territory?” Salutius asked.
“We will help with logistics, but yes probably semi unofficially we do, but soon we will annex it.”
Zelra openly discussed the future expansion of Yerek with Mardonius.
“Should we take Nova?”
“That would break our truce with the Church of Order,” Mardonius cautioned, “it would look too aggressive, plus we would make enemies unnecessarily, perhaps we need to make investments in Symr in Uruq. Slowly peel away the Church of Light there, it’s unclear what the best course of action. This new God of Battle makes everything murky.”
“Perhaps we should start making investments in Mendek,” Zelra said.
“Perhaps,” Mardonius agreed.
