After signing up at the guild I decided to search around for servants (slaves).
You mean slaves?
.. Yes. Anyways, I found my way to a shady slave auction where rotten nobles bought slaves for "private purposes".
Aren't you about to do the same? You damn hypocrite..
Do you always have to fucking ruin my mood?
Yes.
Fuck..
-
I was in a large hall with a stage in the middle of it. There were no empty spots and you could see a lot of nobles wearing masks to not be recognized. I was wearing a mask too, a white tiger mask. The first slave got called out and the seller advertised her.
"It's a wolfgirl. She is a virgin and just turned 17. Very good quality! Starting at 5 diamond coins!" advertised the seller.
Wow.. isn't that very much money? Like $50000?
It sure is.. but the auction house knows that the majority here have a powerful background and can afford it easily.
"Do I see 7? 10? 11? 15? Sol-" said the seller but got interrupted.
"25!" yelled a fat noble with a fox mask. Many people loudly displayed their surprise on the price by gasping. The noble looked proud and his eyes were very arrogant. I scoffed silently.
"25! Sold!" yelled the seller happily.
After many different slaves were sold one who piqued my interest was finally displayed. It was a tiger, a fighting slave. It was supposed to be comparable to a rank S adventurer in battle prowess, about level 80-100 in strength. But the tiger also costed much, at a whopping 100 diamond coins as a starting price. To my surprise, many nobles actually still tried to buy it.
A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.
"115!" yelled a lady.
"117!"
"119!"
"121!"
It continued like that for a while until someone finally broke the awkward bidding.
"150!" yelled a man with a slim figure. He sounded like he was pretty young and many people started whispering. According to what I heard he was a prince from a different kingdom and was very strong, being at level 100, the max of human potenial normally. This was quite impressive even to me.
"150! Sold!" said the seller happy that he got so much profit.
As I almost fell asleep out of boredom finally I heard the magical word "catgirl"!
"A princess from a different kingdom, as she is the child of the king's concubine he didn't accept her, but she is very beautiful! She just turned 18! Starting at 15 diamond coins!" advertised the seller vigorously.
"50 diamond coins!" I yelled confidently. I was pretty sure that no one was going to want to bid as I raised the price more than three times already, indicating that I was willing to pay a huge sum. But I was wrong..
"60." said a middle aged man aggressively. I got pretty mad as I didn't expect someone to bid..
"Hey, isn't that Duke Alex? He is said to be very strong, even stronger than S rank adventurers." whispered someone two rows behind me.
"It is indeed. He is said to be the king's right hand, and he has a fetish for cats... he is known for betting absurd amounts for catgirl slaves." whispered someone else close to me.
Oh.. I see.. a challenger! But he will be up for a surprise! I won't back down!
You two sure seem alike!
Fuck you!
"100." I said sternly as if I would put the middle aged man in his place. You could see the so called Duke Alex shake a bit in frustration. He gritted his teeth.
"110." said Duke Alex a bit less aggressively. This time he didn't look as proud.
The catgirl didn't look happy and had closed eyes. To be honest I would treat her well as she was one of my fellow cats. But nobles like him just abuse their slaves..
Oh-ho? You have some kind of humanity, no wait... catmanity left in you I guess?
Of course. I'm not heartless, I just despise humans and trucks!
"150." I said still confident. I was now sure that he would give up! I would buy all catgirls in this auction house tonight!
Duke Alex finally gave up and sighed. He lost an auction..
"150! Sold! The gentleman over there wins!" yelled the salesman.
Many people started whispering, as I was unknown and it was absurd to spend that amount of money on a catgirl when I could have bought that fighting slave instead. Truthfully, I'd rather buy the fighting slave if it was of any use to me. But I'm five times stronger than it.. it'd just be a burden to protect it!
Well.. congrats on getting your first slave I guess!
