Time flies when you're having fun or something like that. My case was just watching old series on a TV I improved and the data from my memories helped me rewatch them. It was probably four in the morning when I decided that I should probably get a move on and be ready as ready can be for the big event. I went and made adjustments to my original body/skin by making it better for the Rokushiki and also by giving it the Bob structure as I call, basically seastone skin composition.
First I had my 3d map of Loguetown laid out before me to give a better understanding of where I could come from to watch the event, because watching this iconic scene from the audience would be better. This map was obviously ridiculously high quality and detailed with tons of information of who does what, lives where and who's new and all that. I found a deserted alleyway that was on the far outskirts of the town on the opposite side of the execution platform and sent my consciousness to a sticker on the wall. I used that to open my inventory and let out my OG seastone custom skin and moved my consciousness to it.
My body feels very strong, not mountain destruction level strong but tree destroying level strong. I didn't really need to adjust to the changes as they were basically integrated with the body so I already knew how to use the Rokushiki like I was some forgotten CipherPol agent. This body obviously wasn't naked, I had a standard local outfit which the A.I deemed matched most of the locals who lived here, I also had some belly along with fake identity documents. Now one could say that I could simply teleport away from anyone enquiring about me or, like certain trigger happy people I've watched, just kill them.
Last I checked, I didn't have tendencies similar to those murder hobos, and I'd like to not increase the security of the place just so it makes my task harder. It wasn't morning yet but the streets were still pretty full in comparison and as I walked closer to the platform area, I've come to realise that Roger is pretty famous for people to already be taking places near the platform this early. It wasn't that exaggerated but I still got a place somewhere near platform. Now all I had to do was wait, which got boring very quickly, all I could hear around were people talking about the injustices and "evil" that Roger caused the world and how much of a relief it was to be rid of this "demon". In my boredom, I had some birds and fish circulate the nearby area of Loguetown in hopes of seeing Roger and his escort team.
After a few hours when the sun had reached it's midpoint in the sky, I was informed by the A.I to go back to the platform as Roger's ship was approaching Loguetown now. I got bored in the first few hours of the wait and just transferred my consciousness back to base and chilled while the A.I kept my body there in the crowd as just another quiet bystander, I had informed it to alert me when Roger would finally decide to show up because it looked like he was going to be late to his own execution, so now that a large amount of marine ships were approaching the island, the A.I alerted me with footage and I switched back to the rather cramped space in the crowd.
I ran into my first and rather annoying problem, I was slightly shorter then the average guy in the crowd so I couldn't watch the entrance of Roger or his execution if I wanted to. Everyone was just looking at the start of the road while talking to each other and looked pretty distracted, so while no one was looking, I increased my height just enough to be able to see the entire without standing out. Other then the fruitflies that were in the many corners recording everything, I also had the one nearest to the start of the route to the platform to spawn mosquitos and other common flies that would get in the path of the executors and hopefully on their weapons as well.
If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the violation.
Marine soldiers with their standard swords and flintlocks made lines on both sides of the path to restrict the crowd from trying anything stupid, I also noticed various video transmitting type den-den mushis were turning on, on the corners of the stadium. With the amount of information the A.I and conversely me, had on the area, I already knew who among the people were locals, pirates and the like. Notable ones like Dracule Mihawk(younger and without his little beard), a little teenage shanks with his head covered up, a buggy wearing a bandana and crocodile without his golden hook, were among crowd.
The crowd began to grow silent, and soon it was silent to the point that the only noise was of people breathing, focusing on the path, I understood why, as there escorted by two marine escorts was the Pirate King Gol D Roger, walking forward with that same smile. The confidence with which he walked followed be the escorts would probably make anyone doubt if this man was truly going to his execution or a party. Everyone watched in silence as the man ascended to the top of the platform towards the two executors, suffice to say that one of the weapons had a small little mosquito on it that had changed colour and turned into a small unnoticeable indentation on the weapon.
Once he was up there he just sat down and calmly shouted to get it over with quickly. Now came the most iconic scene in the history of the one piece world and the very start of the Great Pirate Era, a man shouted at the top of his lungs asking him where his treasure was. Gol D Roger gave his famous speech that led the world into chaos,
"My treasure?
If you want it, you can have it!
Find it!
I left everything this world has to offer there!"
The moment he finished saying these words, the weapons had penetrated his body and his head hung low with the same smile. The mosquito on the weapon was already in his body and was rapidly spamming putting him in the inventory and he hadn't noticed the shiny word stone on the platform or couldn't. Meanwhile the crowd was in an uproar of celebrations and excitement, some even crying thinking that with Pirate King gone there would be lesser pirates venturing to sea, not realising that his statement had basically set in stone the new era.
Atleast that's how it should have gone without me being there. A shout of terror was heard from the crowd when Roger's body disappeared instantly. More and more people focused on the execution platform and soon screams and pandemonium spread among the crowd, what didn't help was the marines weaponised attempt at calming things which further led to people running around like headless ducks. Even in this chaos however were people, who like myself were more focused on the ground which had be filled with small sheets of paper which surprising all looked had golden edges and hard to the touch (a sort of last minute adjustment what with all the people stomping about).
As more and more people noticed the papers on the ground and picked them up, the crowd began to calm down and became an eerie scene quite contrasting to the earlier one as everyone was becoming motionless, all with the paper at hand. This made others pause and take up the sheet of paper as well, leading to them also going into the standard illusion hub where information of its use and rules was fed to them directly. It also included what it could offer them given enough energy and requirements met. People who were quicker to absorb the information, put the paper into their pockets and bags looked around. The earlier ones were able to slip past the marines and easily go to whatever route they were meant to use for escaping or hiding, I simply used that moment to step on a paper(world stone) and used it to teleport to my base and comfortably watch the aftermath.
