For Allan’s current plan, one of them will stay in Chen Town while two of them go to sea and hunt pirates.
“Then should we name the ship?”
Kaku asked.
“Just name it, The Rock.”
Allan said with a chuckle.
Kaku didn’t find it funny at all, it felt more ironic since they took the ship away from the Rock Pirates and their Captain the Rugged Rock Rocky, but still named it The Rock.
Allan of course had a different reason to laugh.
Kaku took 10 men from Alexandria to drive the ship to shore.
The Rock was almost 30 meters so it needed more personnel, good thing Allan and Kaku weren’t lacking in personnel.
Allan captained the Alexandria back with the remaining 5 people, Fossa included.
The people at the port looked surprised when they saw the pirate flag, but seeing the Rugged Rock Rocky tied up, they looked relieved and curious.
Allan found the time to instruct Fossa to divulge their names to the public.
And so, the first sign of the Jaeger Family’s rise appeared in Gecko Island where they first showed their immature fangs.
Fossa even embellished the story making it seem like the Jaeger Family fought an epic battle with the Rugged Rock Rocky.
This was the ruse that Allan, Kaku, and Gin planned, although it wasn’t a good thing for their fame, it would at least make it seem like they were at the level of East Blue.
But if say the Cipher Pol wanted to investigate, the ones who were susceptible to betrayal were the new recruits like the five fishermen who saw the fight, after all, the World Government’s name was like thunder to most people.
This of course included the pirates they fought since they had no reason to lie once they were asked, they might even add fuel to the fire, hence, Allan asked Gin and Kaku not to use their best techniques and the Six Styles when they didn’t have to.
So even if it was found out that they were lying and the fight wasn’t that hard, the Cypher Pol would only find out that Allan and Kaku were only slightly better than the lie they weaved.
There were at least three layers that refer to their strength.
The first layer was the weaved stories, this was actually partly so that the common people would know their names more.
Even if their strength was off the roof in East Blue, people wouldn’t care because they wouldn’t be able to relate.
Most people in the East Blue don’t even know the Shichibukai or the Four Emperors.
But through the stories filled with hardships and struggle, the common people would feel like the Jaeger Family was more relatable.
There’s also the bonus of being underestimated by the enemy if someone wanted to target the Jaeger Family.
The second layer was the demonstrated strength, Allan couldn’t see too many instances where the three of them really needed to show their true strength in East Blue, so pretending even when fighting was part of the layer.
And unless needed, Allan didn’t want to show that they knew the Six Styles.
The last layer was their true strength.
Although Allan planned to keep this part mostly a secret, he didn’t know what would happen in the future, if he found an impulsive person or a martial maniac who would just attack without a warning, then Allan and the others would probably have to reveal their true strength.
The very next day, Allan was surprised when he saw Banchina with Usopp already waiting in front of their boat.
The pleasant surprise couldn’t help but make Allan happy.
“As long as you keep your promise, I won’t stop Usopp from joining you, but you must keep your promise!”
Banchina said with seriousness.
“Don’t worry Mrs. Banchina, I keep true to my word.”
Allan said with a slight bow.
“Welcome to the ship Usopp, you and your mother will have to come with us for your mother’s treatment.”
Allan said with a smile before crouching down and whispering to Usopp.
“Just between the two of us, this will be more like a vacation for you and your mom, so go play, your mom wants to see you happy like the other kids.”
The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
Allan finished with a wink.
“Mrs. Banchina, please follow Fossa for your arrangements.”
Allan said with a gentle smile.
For this mother who didn’t even care about herself and gave her everything to her husband, Allan didn’t know how to treat her.
Allan couldn’t call her a good wife, being a good wife doesn’t mean letting your husband go to chase his dreams, to leave and never return, that was not being a wife but more like a martyr.
She wasn’t really that good of a mother since she didn’t think about Usopp when she persuaded Yasopp to chase his dreams, but raising Usopp alone still made her a decent mother, but that’s where it ends.
She died and Usopp became a compulsive liar and his personality defects specifically his extremely timid personality were formed through his trauma.
A child Usopp effectively became an orphan since his father didn’t even bother to see him.
It probably devastated him to know that his father had the ability to return home but chose not to.
But through his mother’s final breath, he had to force himself to believe his mother and admire his father who left his wife and son alone and never came back.
How harsh was that to a child?
Growing up not knowing your parents was probably better.
“Please Doctor Stern.”
Allan asked Doctor Stern to take care of Banchina while Fossa waited on the side.
Looking at Usopp who was already playing with the other children, Banchina showed a complex look before sporting a sad smile.
“Wait for me! Ahh!”
Koby suddenly tripped and fell down with teary eyes, Carina and Usopp helped him up and comforted him.
Allan looked at Wavy who was being mischievous and shook his head with a wry smile.
It seems like Koby might be the next person to see Wavy soon.
Banchina wanted to rest and Allan and Kaku wanted to train, but Kaku had to sail The Rock while Allan stayed in Alexandria.
Fossa assisted Allan with Kaku’s request, the prisoners were held in The Rock which was bigger and actually had a proper holding cell inside.
The Rock’s flag was also changed to that of the Jaeger Family Symbol and the two ships sailed with The Rock in front and Alexandria following behind.
Allan was inside the ship training his Devil Fruit power.
Since the Alexandria only had to follow The Rock, Fossa was enough to take control of the ship.
Inside the room, Allan constantly changed and alternated between his animal form and his human form, although not a lot changed, Allan’s half-human form started to resemble his human form more.
As for the Six Styles, Allan decided to learn Paper Drawing first.
Compared to Iron Body and Finger Gun, Paper Drawing was the current most helpful one for Allan, not because of its function, but because it could increase the control Allan had over his own body.
Of course, Iron Body does the same, but Iron Body was very rigid.
Although Allan wanted to master it in preparation for Armament Haki, he only had so much time.
It's just that currently, Paper Drawing weighed more because Allan could utilize it with hDevil Fruit development.
Allan’s goal right now was to basically master his half-human form making it resemble his human form more with the exception of an extra limb.
That’s right, limbs, the two extra pairs of hands were merely a default form, Allan felt like he would be able to change the extra pair of hands into a pair of feet, or even just a different type of limb, of course, he needed to learn another technique, Life Return before he could change the extra pair of limbs.
After four more days of sailing, Allan and Kaku met two groups of pirates who wanted to rob them.
Two ships with a majority of the passengers being kids, truly a tempting piece of meat.
Jack the Robber 6 million berries.
Bob the Destroyer 3 million berries.
Along with Rugged Rock Rocky’s bounty, 17 million berries worth of bounties from the captains, plus 4 million berries from their subordinates who had bounties, a grand total of 21 million berries just from sailing towards their destination.
Unfortunately, the ships of the two pirates weren’t in the best condition, although they could be sold, the price probably won’t be high not to mention Allan did not have extra hands to man the ships, so after looting the supplies inside the ship, the prisoners were placed inside The Rock before they had a firing practice with the cannons in Alexandria and The Rock.
The children looked awed by the two sinking ships before resuming their fun.
After sinking the two ships, The Rock and Alexandria sailed on.
Throughout the journey, Allan would go to The Rock and train his combat abilities with the prisoners, especially the captains, Kaku also had his turn when Allan took charge of the ship’s security.
“Al, one more day and we’ll see Brother Gin again.”
Kaku said while washing off the blood on his body.
Allan was excited after hearing Kaku, he wasn’t too bothered about Kaku’s bloody appearance, sure he was too kind to do what Kaku was doing as training, but he did break some bones when it was his turn.
Not to mention, the training partners they had were out and out pirates, not some innocent bunch who just wanted adventure.
This information was extracted by Kaku who had related knowledge so Allan held no pity for their prisoners.
Sure life was hard, being oppressed by society, and hunted down by the Marines made it worse, but what did the innocent civilians do?
They too have it hard, yet these pirates always targeted innocent civilians, so Allan didn’t pity them.
You reap what you sow.
The night was deep and a huge shadow landed on Alexandria.
The very next day an extra person appeared on the ship.
The missing Gin finally returned.
“Gin!”
Allan woke up a bit when he sensed Gin’s arrival, living at sea, his sleep was never deep except the time when he awoken his Conqueror’s Haki.
Seeing Gin made Allan jump with surprise and happiness.
“Al, I’ve completed my mission.”
Gin said with a smile.
“Thanks Gin!”
Allan said with a hug.
He really meant it, Gin was only 12 right now and had to act alone traversing the East Blue and doing his best to do what an adult might still find hard to do.
According to Gin, he found a suitable island he named Pelican Island in Echo Islands, he then hired a few people to live on the island and help take care of the pelicans.
As for trust, there were no ships on the island, and the surrounding waters were extremely turbulent and filled with deadly whirlpools.
So without the ability to fly like Gin, there was no way out of the island.
As for why Pelican Island was so dangerous, this was mainly because the island formation around Pelican Island was weird and had strong currents, according to the information Gin found, there were other islands similar to Pelican Island in Echo Islands, the locals call these islands the Death Islands for obvious reasons.
So it became a good place to raise pelicans and a natural prison for the hired help.
“So you hired a hundred people? And now they’ve built a small village in Pelican Island called Beak Village?”
Allan asked in surprise, according to Gin, he only hired 10 people who were mostly carpenters and animal breeders to build and take care of the pelicans, but hearing the promise Gin made, the hired help asked if they could bring their family with them, Gin didn’t care, in their future plans, money was not a problem so he gave them a decent amount as salary, but when they met again, there were an extra 20 other carpenters and animal breeders who asked if they could also come with their family.
Gin gave them a verbal promise because he lacked the funds but all of them believed and agreed.
