The Coffee
Beatrice yawned as she stretched, her movements slow but graceful. The time on her GrimoPhone read 9:00 a.m.—early by her standards, but she decided to get up anyway. Dragging herself to the kitchen, she began brewing her morning coffee.
The process was almost ceremonial. She added her signature sugar, Whiterin, a potent sweetener that could energize anyone in seconds—or, as she often joked, "send them to the moon." Once her coffee was ready, she sipped it with satisfaction. The rich taste and the energy boost made her feel unstoppable—or at least ready to spend the morning watching funny videos on her phone.
As Beatrice lounged at the counter, completely engrossed in her screen, Rookie stumbled in, yawning and rubbing his eyes. He spotted the coffee pot, poured himself a cup, and took a generous sip, not realizing it was infused with Whiterin.
Rookie’s Hyper Velocities
The effects were instantaneous. Rookie’s eyes widened, and before Beatrice could even look up, he zipped out of the kitchen like a blur.
In his sugar-fueled frenzy, Rookie darted around the castle at breakneck speed. He ricocheted off walls, sent furniture flying, and even managed to trip over the motionless body of Omega Man, who lay in the castle hall. This accidental collision woke Omega Man from his mysterious slumber, though Rookie didn’t notice.
After a chaotic few minutes, Rookie zoomed back to the kitchen, panting and jittery. “What just happened?! I feel like I can outrun reality!” he exclaimed, his words tumbling over each other.
Beatrice, still glued to her GrimoPhone, casually reached for a spoon, gave him a light tap on the forehead, and smiled. “Too much sugar,” she said nonchalantly as Rookie’s hyperactivity ceased instantly.

The Omega Man Awakens
Meanwhile, Omega Man groggily sat up, rubbing his head. To his shock, his body was no longer skeletal or burned. His flesh was fully restored, his strength renewed, and even the two Beatrice-inflicted bullet wounds were gone.
He touched his chest in disbelief. “I... I’m healed? How...?” His thoughts raced as he tried to comprehend what had happened. Swallowing his pride, he followed the sounds of voices to the kitchen, hoping to find answers.
Omega Man hesitated in the doorway before stepping inside. Beatrice looked up from her phone, her eyes twinkling with amusement. She nudged Rookie with her elbow and murmured, “Guess we don’t need the trash bags after all, eh?”
Rookie chuckled nervously, still unsure of how to act around Omega Man, but Beatrice was clearly enjoying herself.
Omega Man bowed his head slightly, his tone uncharacteristically humble. “I owe you an apology for destroying the city. I was wrong. And… how did you do it? How did you heal me? How did you beat me so easily?”
The Omega Man Sleep (Again)
Before Rookie could reply, Beatrice stood, twirling her trusty baseball bat in her hands. “Oh, you’re healed? Great.” With one swift swing, she knocked Omega Man out cold again, sending him sprawling to the floor.
“Beatrice!” Rookie exclaimed, half in shock and half in awe. “You’ve got to stop using that bat like it’s the answer to everything!”
Beatrice rolled her eyes, propping the bat against her shoulder. “It’s the gift that keeps on giving. Besides, he needs his rest. Healing is hard work.” She smirked and sat back down, returning her attention to her phone.
Plans for the Day
Rookie sighed, crossing his arms. “Fine, but when do we start training Skully and Frosty? They’ve been dormant for too long, and we really need to get moving on their first session!”
Beatrice waved her hand dismissively. “Soon, Rookie. Soon. First, I need to finish this video of a wizard accidentally summoning a chicken instead of a phoenix. It’s hilarious!”
Rookie groaned, muttering under his breath about priorities. He couldn’t help but wonder what kind of chaos would unfold next.
