Two ways

Sky wakes up in the morning. He is sleeping inside a horse stable this night. He left the  horse stable and search  for something to eat.

He walks in a crowded street. He saw people already open their shops and working. 

"A free meal." 

"Maybe he can help me."

He talks to one of the guards and asks "Can call captain Richard Desiree for me. I have an important information for him."

Fifteen minutes later he saw the guards coming with Richard.

"You again! What information have you for me?"

"Treat my a meal and I tell you."

"Fine, let's find a place to eat. I have some questions to ask you anyway.

"They find a small restaurant and went inside." They call the waiter

"I want grilled beef and sea food soup," ordered Sky

"Just bread and two eggs for me" ordered Richard

"You already eating so heaving in the morning?"

"I haven't eaten since yesterday noon."

"Why are you ignoring me yesterday ?"

"Because it's quite late in the night and I need to find a place to sleep."

"You pay the meal right?"

"If you answer me some questions."

"Go on."

"Where is mine blue stone?"

[Should I said the truth? Would he kill me If I said I use it?]

"The man that I killed said he use it on a rare treasure chest."

"That idiot, he wasted my precious stone," said Richard angrily

"Wait a second, you know my surname. You have peeked my status with my stone."

[Shit! He knows!]

[Think a lie, Think a lie.]

"A girl with long black hair told me you name and said you are the second strongest duelist in the city.

[If that girl is rank 4 and she is the strongest in the city then this Richard guy is probably second strongest since he is rank 8.]

"Isana?"

[She is called Isana.]

"She doesn't tell me her name, but she is a rank four duelist.

"It's her. After the breakfast I going to her with you to confirm the story. If you lie to me.... well you find the consequences later.

[I'm fucked!]

"Do you really killed the man yesterday?" ask Richard

"I do. But his body suddenly disappears from the mansion. He is called Michael Volkaen."

"You know him?"

"You can't possible the one who beat him. He is a duelist specialized in fire. He is rank fifty-one before he got banned. "

"He is a bit crazy isn't he?"

"Crazy is a bit understatement. But he is really strong there is no way a teenage boy like you can defeat him."

"That Isana girl doesn't look much older than me so if she can do it why can't I? 

[He knows about Isana fighting him. Only me and three others have spectated the fight. Could he really be?]

"You want to become a duelist?"

"I do."

"Normally you need to pass a test first before you can become one. Do you know anything more about the test?

"Not really."

"There actually  two ways of you becoming a duelist. The first one consists of the three parts:

* Intelligence: They ask thirty questions and you passed if you answered twenty correctly.

* Strength: Slay ten D-class monsters

*  Speed: There are six checkpoints  in this city. You pass this test if you go through all checkpoints and give your name to the person at the checkpoint. This test has a time limit of one hour and twenty minutes.

"You only become a duelist if you pass all 3 exams."

"What is the second way then?"

"The second way is rather unusual that's why not many people know about this."

"Last twenty minute fighting a single digit rank duelist and you pass the test. You ranking will be automatically 100."

"Since you are telling me this. You want to fight me?"

"Yes, I want to test you."

[Can I really fight him? I need hold him off for twenty minutes.]

"Do you use your standard weapon and equipment?"

"No, I will use a weaker weapon and won't wear an armor."

"I accept it your proposal."

[If I fail I can use the first way to become a duelist. I have nothing to lose anyway.]

After finishing their breakfast, they go to the duelist arena.
