In the world of Vales duelist ranking is everything. How higher you ranking as duelist how more valuable and important you are.

There are three types of competitions. The main one is a 1v1 battle with no time limit. They are fought in arena's or outside. If you win a fight against someone who's rank is higher than you. You will gain ranking. The ranking system for the 1 on 1 duelist is as follow:

Win against 1-25 rank higher= Gain 1 rank up

Win against 26-100 rank higher=Gain 5 rank up

Win against 101-1000 rank higher=Gain 50 rank up

Win against 1001-9000 rank higher=Gain 300 rank up

Win against 9001-50000 rank higher=Gain 2500 rank up

Win against 50001 rank higher or more= Gain 3000 rank up

Lose against 1-25 rank lower= Lose 1 rank

Lose against 26-100 rank lower= Lose 10 rank

Lose against 101-1000 rank lower= Lose 100 rank

Lose against 1001-9000 rank lower= Lose 1000 rank

Lose against 9001-5000 rank lower= Lose 5000 rank

Lose against 50001 rank lower or more= Lose 10000 rank

Of course, you cannot just challenge someone who is 10000 rank higher than you. He/she can refuse you challenge. However, there is a way to challenge someone who has a much higher rank then you.

Each duelist has two stones that are authentic to them. One red and one blue. If the duelist won the fight he touched the red stone of the opponent with his/her blue stone. The stones send a magical signal to the magical ranking system and it will automatically update. If two red stones touch each other nothing will happen. If two blue touch each other it's a draw.

The only way you can fight someone much higher than you is betting the stones. For example, if you bet the two stones and lose then you will lose the right to be a duelist for ten years. Your name will automatically getting erased by the system.

The winner can sell those stones for money, they can trade it for better equipment or enchant it. The most duelist will use the stones to open magic sealed treasury chest. Inside those chests there are new spells, weapons,armor etc...

How higher the rank of the stones how stronger the chance for a chest to open. There five types of chests.

Common(white color): In those chests you will find money, spells or just ordinary weapons and armor.

Rare(red color): In those chests you will find rare spells,weapons and armors

Super Rare(blue color): In those chests you will find super rare spells,weapons and armors

Legendary(gold color): In those chests you will find legendary spells,weapons and armors

Ultimate(black color): In those chests you will find ultimate spells,weapons and armors. There also 0.00001% you find an extremely powerful ability.

The other two types competition are 3v3 and 7v7. Those are mainly being used in schools for practicing. There are of course tournaments with those two types but it's less popular than a 1 on 1 battle.

Not everyone can become a duelist because you need pass a test first.
