Presenting…
“Please welcome Omnicorp inc. CEO, Darren Wiznitskiy to the stage!”
Darren stood up from the front table with a big smile on his face, bowed, as the crowd cheered, and made his way up to the stage. “Thank you. Thank you. I couldn’t have done this without you, especially the sponsors. I know, it’s been a long time coming, last minute updates and all the work to make Default the best full-immersion game!”
The crowd cheered once more. Darren nodded to his sponsors and made eye contact and winked at the loudest screamer.
“Let me tell you a little story. Once upon a time there was a little boy who loved to play video games. He tried and tried and always came in second.
“Of course, there were always good players and someone will always be better than you in some game or another. But that didn’t stop this boy. He just kept playing, all he wanted to do you be first.
“He played games across the boards, from PvP, FPS, RPG, racing games, sports games, and all the games in between.
“But still, in every game there was someone trying to become better than this boy. Whether it be the fastest time, highest level, strongest character or even no-deaths speed-runs, someone has always posted another video doing just a bit better.”
He looked around and smiled.
“…And now, this boy has created the best game in history… and is the best player on the block. But this time he’s ready to be beaten, it’s a challenge. And in so many ways, this new world of full-immersion by Omnicorp inc. is the story of this young boy trying and trying and just coming up second. This is a game which brings the best out of everyone. The best players will be challenged. New players will find a rewarding experience, and players of all types will enjoy the best gameplay of the century. So without further ado, I bring you the very first trailer and clips from our most recent beta players. I know you’ll all enjoy. And thank you again.”

The crowd cheered and Darren took his seat as the lights turned off.
The video played, a deep theatrical voice thundered through the auditorium, “Omnicorp inc. brings you it’s long awaited, one and only, game of full-immersion…”
Darren sat down and looked over at his best friend and vice president of Omnicorp inc., Bret.
“Don’t you think that story was a bit dark? It sound like you’re just claiming that you’re a bullied child, grown up with self-doubts and grudges into being a psychopathic mass serial killer?”
“Naw. It was a good story.” Darren replied.
“Who checked your script? It was a bit close too to the heart. I’m sure the media will take you up on it… then bring you down with it.” He spoke in a deep headliners voice, “CEO of Omnicorp inc. come in second place, just as always.”
“Who cares. Second place to who? I’ll have over ten thousand people trying to fight me and not one will even come close.”
“That’s true, that true.” The vice president smiled, “I just hope that you really have your player built, and you know what your doing. Just by Murphy’s law, someone will beat you.”
“Maybe, but not for the first five years. When I go in I’ll still play around and fight. But I have a so many characters that are absolutely to die for. Plus, I can leave anytime I want.”
“And what do you when someone finally beats you?”
“We’ll see, being the CEO, I don’t just have something up my sleeves, I can manufacture them!”
“Sounds frightening.” The Vice President didn’t ask anything more, he simply turned around and thought to himself, how in the hell this man became a CEO of a full-immersion video game!
“But listen,” the CEO continued. “I don’t just have plans for unexpected events. I’ve spent years programming this game, I know every in and out, every secret ability, and I’ve had plenty of time to think about it all, and work out a weapon, ability or skill for any situation, and only those that my character would have. Don’t worry about me.”
“Oh no. I’m not worrying about you. Not at all.” I’m more worried about those players…
The video ended with an ominous: “Immersing now!”
