Hunt 2

Hunt 2

The battle with snake was very useful in understanding how strong I was at the moment compared to a week ago.

I had improved by leaps and bounds in strength and speed, but most importantly because of my skills right now I was able to somehow contend with some of the smaller creatures of the forest, making me just above the bottom of this food chain.

I slowly pressed forward moving farther and farther away from my house, but deeper and deeper into the unknown .I continued forward without coming in contact with any new creatures for about one hour when I started to hear a sound.

It was a faint but continuous sound, clearly not from an animal.

I changed my direction and decided to go check out what that sound was.

....

It was a river. The sound I had been hearing was a little river.

It was shallow no more than 1.5 m deep and less than 10 m wide at the place I was. I approached the bank and stared straight into it. In the river there were numerous schools of fish swimming leisurely

“This is going to be both a good thing, and a bad thing.”

The good thing was that I now found a stable source of food and water from the river but that also means that this was also a spot where the animals came to quench their thirst.

The location of this river close to my home drew all sorts of animals, making it a hubbub of life, and that included different types of predators.

It was not good to have around so many predators, but the cons were very big.

With the abundance of life on the river I could raise both my stats and skills to greater heights without looking for prey that could possibly kill me.

The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

Right then and there I decided that this river was going to be my daily hunting spot.

Looking at the abundant fish swimming leisurely in the crystal clear waters of the river I decided to catch some.

I took of all my clothes putting them in the corner of a tree and with the spear in my hand I rushed to the river bank and jumped.

“CANNONBALL”

*splash*

I jumped and did a cannonball on the river.

“Brrrrrrr. The water is ice cold; it must come from the ice melting from the mountains to the west.”

After having some fun in the water, and washing away the filth that had accumulated in my body for more than a week I decided to go right to business.

I grabbed my spear that I had lodged deeply into the river bed mostly made of slippery rocks and went to work.

When a fish approached me I would immediately stab it with my spear.

I was not very successful at first but when I got the hang of it ,and with the help of THRUST I made quite a big haul today.

“Oh here comes another one!”

THRUST

I quickly stabbed the fish with my spear and brought it in front of my face.

“You are a fat one aren’t you, you stupid fish!?”

As if the fish understood what I had said it started struggling so much that it freed itself from the spear and fell back into the river slapping me in the face with its tail in the process.

I was fuming. A fish dared to slap me in the face? ME?

“You think you can get away from me, you fat fuck? You are going to become this lunch’s main course.”

After an hour and a half of fishing I had caught at least 20 fish in total, but I couldn’t eat all of them .I absorbed all but one that I would eat for lunch leaving in their place only fish bones and scales.

I dried myself in the sun ,while I also observed the change that had occurred to my body.

I had lost all the fat that I had ,replacing it with solid rock muscle.

I now had a body like an athletes.Defined muscles that weren’t too bulky like the ones you got from going to gym giving me agility and not only brute strength to fight head on. My height had also increased some making me taller, but most importantly was that I had now regained my full vision removing a heavy burden that I had.

After drying of I put my clothes on, gathered my stuff and headed back.

...

I arrived at my home just as the sun had started so set, letting out a sigh.

The reason for that was that when I was gathering my stuff and preparing to head back I noticed that one of my wood javelins was missing.

I was very sure that I had all my three javelins with me when I arrived at the river, meaning only one thing.

“Someone or something stole it without me noticing .”

That night I slept holding my spear tightly in my hands.
