“Have you ever-er thought of making a dungeon to live in?” I asked trying to lighten the mood. It is the next day, and ever since that jerk had left Gizmo had been in a bad state.
“How would I do that?” he asked, actually being pulled from his thoughts. The man was reworking some of his golems, and I was watching while mana forging.
“You know, excavate with golems, shape stone with t-tools. Make a defendable bunker. Lots of traps. Use golems as defenders. And the ‘core room’ would be the mana-sail room?” I shrugged. He actually looked up at me, with a tired smile.
“If only you could have given me that idea years ago. Mimicking a monster dungeon, or creating my own labyrinth.” He chuckled.
“Labyrinths?” I asked.

“Aye, me and the other scholars back in the day would research them. They still do. It’s where I got my fascination with golems.” He smiled at that before continuing. “They are long lost vaults of treasure, knowledge and wisdom left behind by ancient civilizations.”
“So ancient civilizations-s. Were there many, or were all the labyrinths made by the same-m civilization?” I asked.
“What do you mean?”
“Well, different cultures would build and decorate differently. D-Do you know if they all looked the same?” As I asked this, he went back to refining the golems enchants.
“Well, I’ve seen two different styles in the lands I’ve been to. And the way they enchanted their constructs where notably different.” He said. He then leaned in closely to look at something in the enchant before leaning back. “Done.” He said placing a hand on the shoulder of the golem, casing it to reanimate.
I take a good look at the golems. I had to question Gizmo’s design choices sometimes. They went from being ambiguous humanoids to appearing as older men.
“So you said their mustaches and ear hair are sensors?” I asked looking the golems over.
