I freeze up for a moment, just enough for her to regain her footing and send another [Lightning Bolt] towards me as I activate [Reap Shot].
The [Lightning Bolt] hits me in the side, causing me to twitch and accidentally pull the trigger.

[Congratulations, Death has reached level 11. Stats have been awarded.]
Screaming starts to fill the city as the first fall victim to Idanu.
"No!" The general yells out, grabbing his warhammer and rushing towards me, rage in his eyes.
I lean down and snatch the amulet from her neck, stuffing it into my pouch. I whip around to Kara, running from the general "We're leaving!"
The general takes a swing at me as I reach Kara but misses, falling onto the ground himself.
I whip around and unload the remaining four shots at Uh'gon, somehow hitting exactly all of the armoured parts of his. Three of my bullets bounce off harmlessly but one ricochets and kills a bystander.
[You've killed a Rice farmer-lvl 4]
Kara hands me my weaponry back and starts shoving her way through the panicked crowd.
I quickly secure my second revolver as I follow her and load my rifle with my last Fire Bullet and three mundane ones.
The general slowly makes his way through the crowd, gently pushing people aside all while glaring at us.
"Donald," Idanu yells with a hoarse voice, "I'll save you! They can't- Out of my way!"
A shriek of terror rings out as Idanu takes care of another obstacle, sending three fishmen flying above the crowd. They fall back into the crowd, crushing others under their weight.
"Is that-" Kara asks before righting herself, shouldering another fishman out of our way, "What do we do?"
I reload both of my revolvers and, noticing that my Mana is still rapidly ticking down, disable my Skills. "I don't know," I truthfully reply, following after her.
I'd love to take care of him right now but I don't think I have nearly enough firepower to hurt him. If I do nothing and run away, he'll slaughter everyone here but he'll kill Kara if he catches up to us.
Something explodes, flames starting to consume the city at a rapid pace as we make our way to the exit tunnel. The whole city is illuminated by the membrane reflecting the flickering light of the flames.
Whatever I do, this city is damned, he'll kill everyone in his way and I doubt that they'll be able to extinguish the flames quickly enough.
But maybe I can make it worth it.
I grab the Fire Bullet from my rifle and start Infusing it with even more fire and dark, a stupid and reckless plan forming in my mind. Last time I mixed Fire and Dark, the result was quite Explosive, tearing through my gloves with ease.
The fishmen should be able to breathe underwater but I don't know if the pressure will kill them.
"We'll burst the bubble," I inform Kara.
She looks back at me like I've grown another head before ducking into an alley, angrily shouting "I don't know if you can but I can't survive tons of water crushing me! If you want to rather kill yourself than end up with him, go ahead but don't take everyone with you."

"We won't be inside, I can shoot it from the tunnel entrance. We just have to stall for a while so I can make sure the bubble actually bursts," I say, showing her the bullet I am infusing. I can't go towards the tunnel too early, Idanu can't be close to the tunnel when it bursts.
She peeks around the corner, checking on Idanu clawing his way through the crowd. "Fuck it, sure. What's the plan?"
I quickly explain my plan "Check out the amulet and lead Idanu to the opposite edge from the tunnel, then run to the tunnel and doom this city and Idanu."
I pull the amulet out of my pocket and examine it, leaving her to keep watch.
It looks like it's made out of gold, a heavy chain made out of intertwined links holding up a replica of Siros eye, a singular Charged Onyx as its pupil, surrounded by a multi coloured iris made out of every other kind of gems. I can't even begin to understand how the gems are connected together to create those tendrils but I assume I can't disassemble it, not that that'd help me much.
Do I just put it on or is there a command word or something?
I try to use [Commune] to contact Siro, getting greeted by a fairly unpleasant message.
[You tried to contact your Patron but Idanus Perk [Godslayer] interrupted the connection.]
"Donald, How could you?" Idanu asks, shouting over the screaming of the crowd, before coming to his own conclusion "They must be forcing you, poor boy, poor boy."
Kara peeks around the corner and throws her dagger, somehow having the handle catch her sleeve and bounce against the edge of the alley, clattering to the ground.
"What the-" she exclaims, bending over to pick up her dagger and falling down, cutting her arm, "Okay, that's bullshit."
I pull her up by her arm. "Leave your dagger," I say, dragging her down the alley, "We have to get some distance, he can't have an infinite range."
We run down the alley, turning the corner and running into five guards just as I put the amulet on.
"Stop right there!" The first guard yells, earning himself a dagger to the throat from Kara.
Alright, cooperation went straight out of the metaphorical window.
[Your party has killed a Guard- lvl4]
The remaining guards point their spears towards us, two rushing at Kara.
The last one runs towards me with a battle cry, spear levelled at me.
Grabbing my damaged revolver, I shoot two rounds at the Guard, harmlessly bouncing off his armour.
He stabs towards me, stumbling and planting the spear into the ground.
I squeeze the trigger again but it misfires, cracking open the cylinder as the Guard bowls into me, ripping me from my feet.
[Your party has killed a Guard- lvl3]
The guard and I brawl on the ground, fighting over control of his shortsword, rolling around in the wet dirt.
Tendrils of void break out of my back, flailing around wildly. Somehow, the tendrils feel like a new limb that I've slept on funny. I whack at the Guard with the Tendrils, trying to find a crack in his armour or wrench the sword from his fins.
A dagger cuts through his neck, ending the brawling.
[Your party has killed a Guard- lvl4]
One of the tendrils darts into the guard's chest, pulling something out and retracting into my back.

Kara gets tackled to the ground by the last guard, losing her dagger.
Grabbing the shortsword of the Guard that collapsed on top of me, I rush over to Kara and slice at him, whacking him multiple times until one of the tendrils finds grip and forces a gap in his armour, sinking the sword as far as I can.
[Your party has killed a Guard- lvl5]
Another tendril reaps his soul.

"Donald, are you alright?" Idanu asks, genuine worry in his voice.
I turn back towards the alley, seeing the blood drenched Idanu staggering towards me. His long black hair is caked with dirt and blood, clinging to his skin and ripped clothes. He stares at me maniacally, grey eyes locked onto me unblinking.
"I, I- Leave me alone!" I yell out, rushing away with Kara.
"What did they do to you?" He asks crestfallen, taking a step towards me, "my poor boy…"
We run down the street, dodging civilians and randomly falling debris. Somehow, all of the debris seems to fall in the Vicinity of people, an effect of Idanus Power.
We zoom through the streets, circling around to lure Idanu to the back before running to the tunnel, leaving the city to its doom.
"I knew you had something planned," Uh'gon states, guarding our only exit with his warhammer.
