Chapter 01: The Café

It was little over 6 pm and the sun was already set, it was the day before Christmas, one of the busiest time of year, and the amount of people in the streets reflect it.

The streets were bustling with people coming and going, many holding onto big presents and shopping bags as they crossed each other creating dance in conjunction with the decoration lights and the Christmas music.

Cynthia could not help but to have her eyes sparkling each time they crossed a stores full of candies and Cyan could not help but to waste some time as something new dragged the attention of the little Cynthia, so the trip to the Café that should had only taken 10 minutes of walking took a whole 20 minute, nevertheless, Cyan still enjoyed the time he spent with his little sister, as it was fun to watch all her different reactions over the Christmas decorations and candies.

Cyan took the opportunity to win some big brother points and he brought Cynthia ice cream and took some pictures with his phone and send it to his mother, nevertheless he tried to not waste too much time as the main attraction for today was in the World of Oban.

In a virtual reality game, all the decorations are ten times bigger and more exuberant that the ones you could find in the real world, only they imagination and the skills of the programmers was the limiting factor; for example in this City snow didn’t fall at all, but in Oban, well, it was a completely different story.

Finally they arrived at The Café, at this time it was full of couples and families that would stop here to drink something before continuing their Christmas shopping streak, the ambient inside was very chaotic but still, it was also full of Christmas spirt.

Cynthia could not help but to look all around, as the ambient inside the Café was very animated, to the energetic Cynthia it was something she never had seen before, as she turned to the see the workers coming and going with plats full of drinks for everyone, while doing a balancing miracle with their hands, she could not help but to clap when they finally arrived to the destination without dropping anything.

As the moved around the crow, a young female voice was heard behind them.

[Female Worker]: “Oh Cyan you came and whom may be is this little angel?”

[Cynthia]: “I am his sister, my name Cynthia, it is a pleasure to meet my brother beautiful girlfriend, he is always writing about you in his dairy”

Cyan covered Cynthia mouth as fast as he could, this was a catastrophe! Not only his sister has found his dairy but she also told Serah about it.

[Cyan]: “Hahaha, Serah don’t listen to her, she is just joking, Auch! hey don’t bite me”

Cyan could not help to feel that all the money he just spent in big brother points and ice cream was a waste.

In the other side, Serah could only give light chuckled as she smiled.

[Serah]: “Your sister is so funny and cute, you should bring here more often Cyan, so I can talk more with her, oh right, Guild Leader told me that the rest is already waiting you upstairs”

[Cyan]: “Wait, you are not coming?”

[Serah]: “As you can see, this place is full today and we are short in staff today, but if I get some free time I will try to join you guys in Oban later”

Cyan could not help but feel a little dispirited, he wanted to Serah to go, actually Serah was the person he wanted to share this event the most, but she was not going and he could help but to feel like if a bucked of cold water was dropped on him.

[Serah]: “Cynthia, you must take good care of your big brother in my place ok”

Cynthia nodded, she had escaped from Cyan judo joint lock a long ago after biting him, I mean, after using her own judo technique, that her technique implied actually biting him and not judo, was not here nor there.

[Cynthia]: “You can leave big brother to me big sister, I will take good care of him for you”

Serah could only chuckle once again while patting Cynthia head, Cyan little sister was too adorable and she could not hold herself back.

Cyan had being in shock all this while, so before he could say anything else to Serah, she has already started taking orders from another customer, he could only give up try to talk anymore with her, Serah look very busy right now and he didn’t wanted bother her in working hours, actually taking the time to say hello to him was already a big deal for Cyan.

[Cyan]: “Let’s go Cynthia”

Cyan started to walk to the stairs while holding Cynthia hand, as he started to climb the stairs he went over the conversation he just had, and he drew some conclusions of it. Maybe everything was not lost, maybe taking his little sister with him today was the best decision he has ever made, Cynthia has even called Serah “big sister” and she has only smiled at her without saying anything, maybe this was a good sign, no, it was totally a good sign for him right?.

After reaching the next floor Cyan was a renew man, no trace of the dispirited Cyan was left as he was now full of hopes and dreams for this Christmas event, who would not be happy about making some progress with the girl they like, and the day was still not over, maybe Serah would really come to Oban and they still could share a moment alone, only the two of them.

“It is decided, if Serah comes today I will confess to her and ask her to be my Girlfriend” Cyan vowed internally with a lot determination, but at the same time he was leaving everything to fate in the end anyway.

Cynthia could only “sigh”, she tried her best but her dumb brother was a hopeless case in the end, even worse, he has said his confession at loud without realizing it, she was a good little sister by not point that out.

[Cynthia]: “Are you feeling better now big brother”

[Cyan]: “Yes, I am little sis, and if you keep behaving like a good sister today, I will bring you to buy all the ice cream tomorrow too”

The two things Cynthia love the most was ice cream, and making her big brother happy, and she had managed to both today without doing much.

[Cynthia]: “Promise?”

[Cyan]: “Promise”
