The week passed by quickly, and now it was time for Fei Yuming to meet up with his master again. Yu Xuewei came to fetch him from his home and brought him over to the headquarters and left. From there, his master then flew them to another building, one a bit fancier and bigger.

When they entered the building, they came upon a meeting hall where there were 4 men and 2 pretty females waiting for them. when they saw Mo Luzhe, they all stood up and greeted him. "We greet the Lord."

"It's fine guys. There's no need for formalities today. I'm putting you in charge of teaching this young lad Fei Yuming. He is my disciple so treat him nicely," he then winks at them. "Well, I'll let you guys be now. I'm gonna go rest. Fei Yuming, you can come to me if you have any questions or complaints." Mo Luzhe stares at the people intensely, then takes off and flies back to the headquarters.

And so Fei Yuming began learning with the masters of the organization, learning the basics of how to make artifacts, specifically, talismans for defense and escaping, from Master Tsang. He memorized all the plants that are important for emergency care and how to make pills and elixirs that would be important with Master Song or Senior Sister Song as he had to call her that. He learned how to take care of Luna from Master Feng. Master Feng took a look at Luna and she was a perfectly healthy baby fox. He told Fei Yuming to take care of Luna and not mistreat her and everything would be fine. Fei Yuming agreed, after all, who could ever mistreat that cute little fox cub? Master Wu didn't really have anything to teach Fei Yuming but he did inform him of the major operational bases throughout the realm where he could come and go if he needed anything, and how to break out of a few different types of arrays if caught in them. The divination master wasn't able to teach Fei Yuming because he had no talent whatsoever with divination, not that he needed to learn it since he has Xiao Bai to help him in that area.

Two years have passed since then and Fei Yuming is now 12 years old. He finished learning from the masters and is now going to have a meeting with his master, Mo Luzhe.

Fei Yuming knocked on his master's door. "Master, I'm here now"

"Come on in now." Mo Luzhe said.

Fei Yuming entered the room and saw another man sitting across from his master. They were having tea and talking a bit before Fei Yuming arrived.

"This is sect master Ye Tingzhou, his father and I were sworn brothers before he passed. I invited him here to check up on him and chat about stuff. We were just talking about you." Mo Luzhe said. Fei Yuming just nodded. "Have you finished learning from the others?" he asked him.

"Yes, master. I believe that I learned everything I could," Fei Yuming said.

"Ah, well that's good," Mo Luzhe said, "I think that you should go and meet some kids your own age so you shall be going with Ye Tingzhou to his sect for a little while. I'll get in contact with you if I need to or you can send me a messenger bird anytime."

Ye Tingzhou nodded, "You will be treated as my disciple in name in the sect because I wouldn't want to experience your master's wrath if something bad were to happen with the other disciples." he says with a smile and laughs a little bit.

Fei Yuming was very excited to see what a sect looks like in real life rather than just hearing or reading about it. "Okay. I guess I'll go and pack my stuff then." He grins and runs back to his residency and packs his clothes and carries Luna in his arms as she was sleeping on their bed before he went to see his master.

After he got everything he needed, Ye Tingzhou then picked up Fei Yuming and hopped on his flying sword, and took off toward his sect. They entered a mountain range then flew across a small but busy little village in a valley then paused at the gates of the sect. The entrance to the sect had a big sign with the words, "Jaded Tiger Sect." in big gold letters.

"Welcome to the Jaded Tiger Sect, my friend." Ye Tingzhou says lightly then continues until he reached the sect master's peak.

Fei Yuming is looking around as they travel along. He sees some of the disciples having a duel on stages, others training their martial arts on dummies, and a few other disciples going in and out of buildings with a friend. Overall the mood of the sect was very harmonious. The only difference between the disciples was that the inner disciples and outer disciples were separated by where they lived, how many resources they got every month, and the color of their badges that said inner disciple and out disciple. Even though there was a clear distinction between the inner and outer disciples with the badges they wore, Fei Yuming didn't see any inner disciples picking on the outer disciples.

Ye Tingzhou gave Fei Yuming a manual listing all of the rules of the sect. The boys stayed in their living area and weren't allowed in the females living quarters. Each disciple had to get contribution points by helping anyone who put out tasks for the disciples to do. The outer disciples weren't allowed in the inner disciples' area which was separated by another gate. Anything was a go in the sect except for rape and killing someone on the sect grounds. Life and death battles were allowed to take place on stage if both sides agreed to the battle. There were seven peaks in the sect for each of the seven elders who were in charge of different areas. Each peak had a residential building for the elders and another for their own chosen disciples to live in. There were also restaurants and trading places within the sect grounds.

This place reminds me of the town where I went to college. Fei Yuming remarks as he studies the sect's layout. He decides to go for a walk around the sect. Luna, who was resting on Fei Yuming's shoulder and looking around, suddenly jumped off and started running away. Fei Yuming ran after her "Luna! Stop! Where are you going?!" As he was running after Luna, he ends up colliding with another disciple.

"OOF" They both land on the ground and rub their heads.

"Ouch," Says the other disciple. "That hurt."

"I'm sorry about that." Fei Yuming says. "I wasn't looking where I was going. My pet fox ran away so I was chasing after her." He bows to the other disciple to apologize and show his sincerity.

"Ah, Don't worry about it. It's fine." The other disciple says. "I don't seem to recognize you. Are you new here? My name is Chu Yanli. Wanna be friends?" Chu Yanli asks him with big eyes.

Fei Yuming looks at her, "Sure, why not? My name is Fei Yuming. Nice to meet you." He smiles at her.

At that moment Fei Yuming saw Luna running back to them with a steam bun in her mouth and a man chasing after her.

"GET BACK HERE YOU LITTLE THIEF!!!" the man yells waving a knife in the air. Luna then jumps onto Fei Yuming's shoulder and teases the guy by wagging her bushy tail at him.

Chu Yanli takes one look at this and bursts out with laughter, and Fei Yuming starts to laugh as well.

"Bad Luna!" he says, shaking his finger at her. "You shouldn't take things from people without paying!" He takes out a gold ingot and hands it to the guy. "Here sir. I apologize for my pet fox taking the steam bun. She just ran off suddenly."

The guy takes the gold ingot and says, "It's fine. Just make sure that she doesn't do it again. I have to go back to my shop now." After saying that he leaves the two alone.

"Well, that was funny." Chu Yanli says, looking at luna. "Is this the little fox you were talking about?"

Fei Yuming nodded. "Yep. Her name is Luna and she can be a bit of a handful at moments like you just saw right now. She caused my master quite a bit of trouble already." he says with a smile.

"Oh," Chu Yanli says surprised, "Who is your master?"

"It's-" He pauses for a moment. "My master is Ye Tingzhou. He brought me here and along the way Luna was making quite a fuss about being in the air." He says making up a story.

This surprises Chu Yanli even more. "THE SECT LEADER IS YOUR MASTER!?!" She accidentally screams, forcing Fei Yuming to cover her mouth with his hands so they didn't attract any unwanted attention.

"Shh!" He says. "Please don't scream. It's not that big of a deal." Fei Yuming says and Chu Yanli just looks at him like he's crazy. "Right?" he says, now uncertain.

"ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?!" She says in a loud whisper then drags him to an ally between two buildings. "He is one of the strongest cultivators in his generation!" She screams at him. "He just turned 512! Just one generation above us!"

"Oh...." Fei Yuming says at first. "Wait...." Chu Yanli looks at him as he realizes what she said. "THE STRONGEST?!?!" He yelps. "Oh my gosh!" Fei Yuming was now surprised beyond words. I guess I got the protagonist halo here now..... I wonder who the villain is then? He grins widely at Chu Yanli. "Well, that's cool. I wonder what he will teach me."

"You gotta tell me everything! He is my biggest idol!" Chu Yanli says, shaking him back and forth. "He is so handsome too!" she adds with big fawning eyes.

"Okay," Fei Yuming laughs. "I will, please stop shaking me now." He begs her, "I'm getting very dizzy."

"Oops." She says. "Sorry. I guess I got too excited" she gives an awkward chuckle, then lets him go.

"It's fine." He says with a smile.

"KYUU!!" Luna starts pawing at Fei Yuming, and grabs his robes, pulling him towards their new residence.

"Well... I guess Luna wants to go back now?" Fei Yuming says. Chu Yanli says goodbye, and they part ways.
