“This great Eldric Mulphenstain has seen the flaw in his ways! Blinded by the beauty disguising such monsters! Shame on you! Shame I say! For you to try and trick a noble soul such as myself. However, you can’t trick the great Eldric Mulphenstain forever, I shall vanquish you evil fiends here and now!”
“You are insufferable, shut your mouth already!”
Lilith’s eyes shone for a brief moment as her bloody mist rushed forward in an attempt to consume Eldric. She had enough of that guy’s nonsens and wished to cleanse the world of his presence. However, killing an A ranked adventurer wouldn’t be as easy as mummifying a wild C ranked monster.
Eldric’s instincts were shouting for him to take cover. A pampered noble he may be but that does not remove the fact he has had his fair share of deadly combat. With trained movement his feet danced around the hall with amazing footwork. Aurora wasn’t idle at this moment either, letting her instincts take control she dashes towards Eldric claws ready to shred his flesh.
Eldric’s odds didn’t look good as even the slightest mistake could claim his life. Seeing this the guild master entered the fray as well, or at least he tried. In front of him stood an odd looking elf with a polite smile but her eyes were anything but polite, they looked savage and hungry. This elf gave the guild master Osrus a sense of crisis as she stood there.
“I am sorry but I can’t allow you to interfere with my master’s fun”
“you, who are you people?”
“That isn’t important now is it? But I guess there is no harm in sharing some information. You are the first to hear this and I wish for you to let the world know of my master greatness. We are the first of our kind, serving under the first of her kind, my master, the first vampire. However, I won’t let you share this information if you aren’t strong enough to survive my assault”
Osrus got no answers to what he wanted to know and instead a myriad of new questions emerged. What is a vampire? Why are they attacking Eldric? And many more, actually the second one was easy enough, even Osrus felt like smashing that prick's face in from time to time.
However, there was no time to ask as Mia’s spells began flying towards him. Now that she was a Dhampire her mana pool had been constantly expanding not to mention that she has continued to train her magic abilities. Even though she hasn’t learned any new spells, her proficiency with those she already knew has reached a level where the spells have suffered a qualitative change.
From lightning bolts to ice spears all kinds of spells flew towards Osrus who dodge and blocked the attacks in whichever way he could. The hall was becoming a mess as some fires lit up here and there while elsewhere frost and ice covered the place. It is worth noting quite a few unfortunate adventurers got caught in the barrage of spells ending their life.
You may be wondering what Silver and co are doing at the moment. Well, the commotion had alerted the town guards as such they were busy mowing them down into a bloody paste. Like a porcupine Silver was shooting his steel hair around while biting and clawing at those that managed to survive the steel barrage

Shadow as elusive as, well… a shadow, was appearing and disappearing like an assassin. Her body covered in a black mist deceived the eyes of those present making them miss all of their attacks. Finally but not less important is the blue inferno that Sapphire had lit up. Her flames moved as if they were alive attacking and reducing to ashes every soldier they could. In the end no matter how the soldiers struggled their efforts were meaningless against three A ranked threats.
Back inside the guild Eldric was reaching his Limit. He had already been scratched by Aurora’s claws in some places and began suffering from anemia due to the blood lost in those few instances he came in contact with Lilith’s red mist. There had been no chance for a counter attack either. Every time he tried to strike Aurora the mist would swarm around her making it dangerous for him to approach. Each time he tried to attack Lilith, Aurora would disregard her defence and launch a fierce attack.
Their cooperation was seamless and left no room for Eldric to breath. Soon enough fatigue took hold of the elven man and his movements slowed down. More and more attacks went through his defence weakening him even further sending him into a desperate downward spiral. He could tell his life was being whittled away and there was nothing he could do about it.
Finally he fell. His body refused to move and he was sure of his death. All he could do was look up at the two girls, no, monsters looking at him. One with Shining crimson eyes and the other with glowing golden eyes.
“Trash like you should die”
“You brought this on yourself you morron”
With dose words the two made their next attack. The red mist covered Eldric’s body as Aurora’s clawed hand crushed his skull. Today was the end of Eldric Mulphenstain, the flamboyant prick. However, this wasn’t the end of it. The entire hall was a complete wreck with corpses lying around everywhere.
This was a sight that painted the heart of Osrus. Despite his best efforts he couldn’t do a thing. Mia’s spells had completely locked him down and the only thing he could do now was escape before those monsters killed him as well. With a heavy heart Osrus once again dodge and blocked a few spells before running away. Mia had no interest in pursuing the man who had fled. Instead she turned around and offered a warm smile to the two girls.
“Well, it looks like you two are done. I don’t think we can stay in this town anymore so we better flee as well”
There were no more words needed. Both Lilith and Aurora understood they had blown their cover and now they needed to escape. What made this worse is the fact that they would become known fugitives. Their information was recorded in the guild’s archives so there was no way of hiding who they were.
With heavy hearts The two girls walked outside only to see the massacre that had occured. Thick columns of black smoke rose from the burning buildings. The floor and walls as well as the many corpses were thickly covered in a blanket of steel needles.
The destruction had started at the guild’s building but it had spread far and wide. After all, and A ranked monster had the strength to easily wipe out a city much less a town. Even though the three had contained themselves the damage was enough to annihilate over half of this town.
“Looks like our peaceful days are over. Hey sapphire could you take us somewhere safe?”
KAW!
It was as simple as that. Sapphire is big enough for five fully grown humans to ride her. If Shadow and Silver go into their small forms She could easily give the entire crew a ride. And that is exactly what she did. All of them got on top of sapphire and she quickly took flight. While flying Lilith couldn’t help but think about what had just happened.
There had been no need to fight. As a matter of fact, they could have just ignored the prick and it would have been enough but they didn’t. Now that she had calmed down she understood what was the best course of action in that situation and yet their emotions had gotten the best of them.
In the end, she decided that there was no more worth in thinking about it. What had happened had happened and there was no changing it. At least she knew what had gone wrong and perhaps next time she would be able to make a different choice. After all, growing up is learning from your mistakes isn’t it?
Soon enough an extreme fatigue came over Both Aurora and Lilith. They weren’t used to using their full power, not to mention they are still kids. Not long after that both of them fell asleep in each other's embrace using Mia’s thighs as a pillow. From now on, things would get complicated. New enemies would appear as well as new friends.
What is most important though is that as long as everyone is still together everything would be alright. Lilith was determined to never lose someone important to her again. That determination would push her into many troubles and force her to make many difficult choices. What is to come could be the greatest catastrophe the world has ever seen as well as the birth of a new era.
