It was winter and Nik's university had just closed for the winter break and so, he along with his friends had started to head home for the holidays... While Nik and Avan had planned to while away the days on their Nintendo, their rich friend Char had really outdone himself and was going to spend his days at Hawaii along with his family.

They had just arrived at their favourite café as they had planned to meet for one final time before they went away on their holidays. Avan being the glutton he always was had ordered like he was gonna have dinner.

“Avan, eating that much while going on a journey is sure to mess up your stomach” Nik advised.

“Bah… Nik you think everyone’s as weak as you, nothings gonna happen to me” Avan said while laughing, and suddenly as if to prove his point, a burp and a fart escaped his stomach at the same time making the people around give him a funny look. Avan was stunned for a second but recovered quick enough and made an indifferent face that strongly hinted at the previous incident having nothing to do with him.

“Oh, Avan, seems like your stomach wanted to support your claim and couldn’t help expressing its agreement”, Nik said with as straight a face as he could manage. Unfortunately for Avan, Char wasn’t too obsessed with maintaining a straight face and started laughing aloud much to Avan’s chagrin.

“You are as sharp as always Nik, Avan I think you are in for a jolly good ride today, I just hope that your co-passengers don’t just kick you out of the moving train and then we would have to spend our break visiting you at the hospital.”

“Hmpf…” Avan grunted, and continued gulping down the food.

“What have you guys planned for your holidays”, Char continued with a beaming smile. “Nothing much Char, just catch up with my local friends and play a few new MMORPGs along with Avan”, Nik declared.

“Yeah… much better than running around all the place tiring my legs”, Avan added. At this point, Char gave a smirk, “Bahahaha... look at your pitiful faces... While you may say spending time with videogames is cool and all... I know that the both of you are secretly jealous of me…not that I can do anything about it though... It's your fault you didn't have the foresight to get passports and visas " Char said.

"We get it Char and I agree that we are slightly jealous of you though" replied Avan "Hey... whoever said I was jealous of Char don't lump me up with yourself Avan... how can I ever be jealous of this guy..." said Nik sneering at Char.

" Hee-hee Nik if you ever need my help to plant some evidence I am all for it man... you can count on me" said Avan with a devilish grin. Char was left gaping and his eyes widened to resemble saucers.

" Oh no ...oh no guys please, don't you dare!! You know that we're still in the initial baby stages of relationship, please don't f**** it up. I am sorry alright; I apologize for my gloating and I promise I'll throw you a party at the most expensive restaurant in town...and I promise to bring you souvenirs, so please spare me."

" Fine fine" Both Avan and Nik were pleased with themselves over a free treat right after the holidays. Char said his goodbyes and left in a hurry saying that his time was up had arrived. 'The longer I stay with these demons the more I’ll suffer ' thought Char. "Bye Nik, we must brainstorm during the holidays to completely decimate Char's wallet ...Goodbye mate see ya’ in the game then”, Avan said leaving for his own cab. Nik made an insulting gesture at him and both of them parted laughing.

' Well good riddance now I can relax and enjoy myself... well maybe I'll miss those blokes a tiny bit or maybe not at all, good riddance... good riddance ' he thought. Nik wouldn’t admit being emotional even to himself. Since he had nothing to do, he decided to reach the railway station early just in case and so, he called in a taxi and hitched a ride to the station but realized that he had arrived too early.

With nothing to do he bought some juice and chips and sat down waiting... After waiting for quite some time passed, he started feeling nature's call quite strongly. The problem was, he didn't quite know where the toilets were and he couldn't ask anyone for directions, cz well, that was his eccentricity kicking in as he felt that it was quite embarrassing to ask for directions. Now, this may sound ridiculous but that’s how it was, anyway, he started doing a recon of the station and after doing so for at least about a quarter of an hour he finally found the toilets and relieved himself, mind you with quite the victorious smile. But in the middle of relieving himself, he heard an announcement saying his train had arrived and was already getting ready to depart in 5 minutes, this freaked him out as he was still in the toilets on a different platform. He panicked and started sprinting, he had a reservation for seat no.62 in coach no.1.

In his hurry he got a blurry view of the board with the coach number where he saw the number 1 and it was the first coach after the series S so, he got in with a jump. " whew... made it just in time" he was pleased with himself as the train started moving. But... was his journey going to be a smooth ride home... Probably and Hopefully not…
