Author's Note: I was supposed to make a longer chapter and put it up on Wednesday but.... Nah. Who cares. This is a bit short. 1k words (nearly). I was bored with my studies. So here you go.

[David]
The entire village revelled that night. We were one of the few saints to be ever chosen from Murcel. They even hosted a banquet in our favor. People who hadn't yet caught a glimpse of the village's new "heroes" came to see us in all our glory. We were even made to wear special dresses for the feast.
"Heroes always need to be presentable at any time" Galvin had said.
Arianne was wearing a fiery red gown with a V slit that exposed quite a bit of her bountiful cleavage. The gown complimented her hair, and along with all the accessories that adorned her body, she was absolutely stunning.
Alice was made to wear a green sheath dress, [AN: It's a cute type of dress. Google it if you want.] whicb complimented her bodyline. Along with the childish pouts she occasionally directed at me, she was pretty cute in it. It suited her, in a good kind of way.
I on the other hand, was made to wear a tuxedo like dress. To be honest, I would have chosen the crimson one as it was available, but the ladies who brought me the dress, thought otherwise. Soon I found myself wearing a plain black tuxedo with a yellow lapel. I sighed and resigned myself to my fate.
Alive and Arianne were at the center of attention from the guys, which naturally made me a bit peeved. But hey, with all the ladies surrounding me, I started to loosen up too.
The best cooks jn the village, including our friendly innkeeper worked on the boars, the cows and whatnot. The food was lavish and at the same time exquisite. It was the first time I had even attended a party of this magnitude and I slowly began to lose myself in all the fun and revelries.
It was about midnight when the party finally ended and the people slowly dispersed to get some sleep.
I was a bit sad but at the same time, a bit relieved that it had all ended. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Erin beckoning us to join her. I loosened my suit and gave her a small smile.
I called the two girls and soon we made our way towards the Guild. Erin told us that the guildmaster had summoned us to give us further instructions.
I entered the Guild hall and saw a seemingly excited old man smiling at us.
"Hello dear Saints. I am Kefmer, the Guildmaster of this branch. "
I used Observe on him.
Name: Kefmer Rallis
Profession: Guildmaster
Level: 82
Holy shit... this guy is strong. I immediately remembered what Octavius had told us about higher levelled people. I guess the Guildmaster was one of them.

"Hi Sir, I'm Alice, this is my brother David and my friend Arianne" my sister sweetly called out.
Kefmer chuckled and said , " I know that part, young Alice."
I jumped jnto the conversation and asked him, "So, why were we called in the dead of the night again?"
Kefmer slowly evaluated me and said,
" I called you here to tell you what happens next"
Arianne perked up on hearing this, causing the old man to chuckle.
"So, you know what we're supposed to do?" I drawled.
He looked around for a while and said, " Not really."
Then why the fuck did you even call us here, you stupid old man?. I was getting noticeably irritated.
Kefmer looked at me and said,
"You will know about it yourselves when you reach the capital tomorrow."
"What?"
I was getting confused now. Alice shot me a puzzled look and Arianne was just silently listening in on the conversation.
"The Church and the King have already been notified of your existences and they will send a carriage for you tomorrow which will guide you to the capital." he explained.
I had seen this coming by the longshot. Both the girls were a bit taken aback, but I just sighed and said,
"Okay".
.
.
.
...
It was 10 in the morning.
The carriage had arrived and had been parked outside the Bear Shack. I had already told Galvin of the situation. He was a bit sad but felt happy for us. It was pretty rare to see that kind of person.
Arianne was already waiting for us, inside the carriage. She looked a bit teary eyed, but didn't cry. Alice was a bit sad because she was on pretty good terms with Galvin and had a few friends in the village.
The whole village gathered at the square to bid us a warm goodbye as we set out on our journey towards the capital.
I too was a bit sad to leave them as I was a bit attached to the village which had sheltered us for 3 months, but the time had come to say goodbye.
Soon we were all seated in the carriage and it set out towards the capital.
A new journey, a new adventure and a new purpose was all awaiting us.
But little did I know that my taking the Saint examination was one of the biggest mistakes I had ever made...
