AISHA POV
I grasp my throbbing head. Sighing, I look at my surroundings. I was back in my room. My mom is here. Another being was here too. No, no, no… Hold on.
Better question.
Why the hell are they lying beside me? Why are they in my bed?! Without any warning, my mom kisses me on my forehead. She says, “Shhhh, do not scream. We were a bit cold, so we snuggle ourselves beneath your sheets. That’s all.”
“I understand that…” I started, saying the next part in a lower tone, “I don’t mind you being in my bed… But what is SHE doing in my bed?!” Behind me, I can feel the genius zoning in on me. I can feel a single finger traced down my back. I cover my mouth with one hand, twisting around in my bed to glare at this invader.
Brynhild.
I thought she left?!
“You gave us quite a fright missy.” Brynhild shakes her head, “You should have stayed put. Moving under my [God’s Realm] is no joke.”
“Ah… I blame the alcohol.” The two adults gave me a blank stare. What? I am telling you the truth! Slightly. Okay, yeah, it’s partially true and false, but even then, I am a young girl wanting to test out the unknown. I blame my curiosity as well. Brynhild states this.
“You broke the bones in your legs, parts of your back, hips, what else… Ah yes, your rib cage- you destroyed forty percent of your bones. You’re lucky I repaired your body. Repairing broken bones cost a lot. Most likely, six hundred thousand gold with your injuries. Jeez. You are lucky I am a great friend.”
Oh? Did she repair my broken bones? Going off of my expression, she goes on, “Yeah. I mend your broken bones back to normal. At a cost.” Her gaze looks past me, staring at my mom. They let out loose giggles. Huh? Did they do something when I was knocked out? I figured I did something stupid. Breaking a lot of bones… Ugh. Six hundred thousand gold- that is a lot. My dad would curse at my stupidity for making him pay such a bill. The crisis is averted. Note to self: Do not fight against Brynhild’s [God Realm]. I will get broken bones.
“Thank you for doing that.” I express my gratitude by bowing my head, “Although… you being in my bed is an invasion of my personal space. Could you get out?” I stare at her, trying to be deadly serious. That was hard to do. No joke, her beaming personality is back, and she is very pretty. Like holy shit, how can I control my blush!? She is so close to me. I can see her smooth pearl-like face, her amethyst-like eyes staring right at me. The rosy scent hits me again, the temptation to cuddle next to- I blink at my thoughts. Why do I want to cuddle her?! Oh god. I bounce off the bed, turning in midair to face my mom. I want to hide my blush. Why is my heart beating so fast?! My mom smiles at me, admiring my dilemma. She raises a finger to her lip, giving a… wicked smile?
“Oh… I need to know something Aisha. It’s really important.” Why is my mom using that tone?! There seems to be some sort of conviction behind it. With an alluring voice, my mom asks me this. “What is your sexuality?”
I froze for a few seconds. Or maybe a minute.
Why is she asking the same thing as Titan? Ironically, it’s in the same place as well. My room. Just that I have two grown adults listening to the conversation. Well… Yeah, adults. I would say young, but they lived like... fifty years? How old are they?
“E-E-Eh you know… How old-”
“Don’t evade the question.” I can feel Brynhild breathe against my bare neck. When did she get this close!? Her breath makes me tingle, shivering a bit! I silenced myself. A squeal almost escaped my mouth. Brynhild did not stop there, she has her hands traveling down my sides. She was feeling my body?! T-This… I am feeling weird now. It’s like I want her to do more. Her smooth touch is making me get… a turn-on? I hope not!
“M-M-Mom! Stop her!” I shouted.
“Answer the question.” My mom stares at me with such an exotic look. Oh god! I feel like I am staring at a stranger now. A very sexy one- Focus me! She’s my mom!
“Why you want to know?” I force back any squeals or moans that wish to escape my mouth. Trying to ignore Brynhild’s action, I can feel her- She took off her armor!? Is Brynhild naked!? I begin to squirm, Amelia closing in on me as well, wrapping her arms around me.
“I don’t know. Like you, I am curious about your interests. I feel like you’re a lesbian.” That was blunt. I am glad that she was hugging me now. I can hide my face in her chest and mutter the answer.
“Yes…” My mom and Brynhild glance at each other. They did not hear my response due to my mouth being against my mom’s breast.
“Can you repeat that?”
“No mom. I will not repeat my-AIIIIIIEEEEEEE!” I press myself closer to Amelia’s body, Brynhild squeezing and scratching my sides… again. Is she trying to get me to laugh or something!? Why is she tickling me!? Damn woman, she must have some sort of kink for it or something! That’s it! I will fight back! Without any warning, I turn around, still in my mom’s embrace, and grabbed at Brynhild’s sides. I squeeze hard, moving my hands violently at the… Oh.
These… I thought I grabbed her sides.
My hands grasp at the soft, round body parts. It seems like I missed my actual target, gripping her breasts. How the hell did I miss? I feel like I could die from embarrassment although another part of me asks this.
Raping a genius that’s a Heavenly General is a crime right? A deathwish? Should I repent now?
I eye at the genius, amazed at the… the expression she has on her face. Brynhild covers her lower face with one hand, suppressing her mouth. Does it seem like she was going to moan? Thinking about it, Brynhild was not wearing her armor. Does it look like she has her tank top and shorts? You know what, I don’t care anymore. If this is a huge crime, and that I will die from this, I might as well grope her boobs till I am satisfied. I shift my fingers to cover most of her breasts. I massage her breasts? Squeezing here and there, I ponder on something. How do I do this? This is my first time groping someone. I mean, it’s not that hard. You just squeeze them like so. Hold on, what am I trying to do? Am I trying to get her to moan? Or maybe make her scream? This is awkward. I have no clue how to move forward.
Just do it. Don’t think too hard about it. I should know this… I am a woman and… Eh. To be honest, I have not touched myself in any dirty way whatsoever. I barely touch my own body. Well, I wash, but I never went to the extent of touching myself to...
Why am I going through such revelations right now?
Ignoring my inner struggles, I just fondle her breasts. I should not press down on them that hard but a moderate amount? Forgetting that my mom was behind me, she takes one of my hands and makes my right hand move Brynhild’s right breast in a circular motion. My blush increased by threefolds.
“My, my, so you are into girls. Well, Brynhild is rather simple. You treat her lightly, it will get to her. You can massage her breasts like this. If you want, you can be forceful, but knowing Brynhild, she likes it slow and soft. You can also do this with your finger...” Taking my index finger, she allows me to swirl around Brynhild’s nipple. Is it me or was it getting pointy? Erect? “You do this, she’ll squirm and moan for you. Also, I know Brynhild hasn’t done it in ages. If you can...” The action made the bed shake, Brynhild bouncing in place at the sudden action, inching away from us, “You can tickle them as well. Make these soft barely-touching scratches and that will get to her.” I swear, I heard a pleasant noise escape Brynhild’s lips. It sounds… intoxicating. Like I want more out of her. Yet my conscience is telling me otherwise.
“Mom… I-I should stop. I-Isn’t this rape?! Assault?! She’s a genius!” Moving my hands away from Brynhild, the genius regained her composure, facing the opposite direction for a quick second.
“N-N-No. W-Why would I do that?” Brynhild asks.
“Don’t worry Aisha.” Amelia hugs me again, “It’s not rape if she likes it, you know. Are you interested in Brynhild?” This question was a huge curveball.
“WHAT?!” Brynhild and I exclaim in unison. The genius quickly rolls back around, staring at Amelia. Why did Brynhild scream that out as well? I am the one that’s suppose to be in shock, not her!
“Come now. We can still love each other and you can also love my daughter as well.”
“I…” My words just froze there. I am speechless.
Brynhild shakes her head, getting out of my bed. She picks up her armor, fixing the straps.
“I will answer that some other time. We had a little moment, but it is time for the important part. I will be waiting outside in the open backyard.” Watching the blonde hair woman equip herself and leave, Amelia cuddles me.
“You will become a fine lady.” complimented my mom.
“Mom… What is going on?” I am partially confused at the sudden outburst of when I woke up to now. My question from before has not been answered. Why is she still here? Reading my thoughts, or making an educated guess, my mom says, “You will be receiving the [Defeat Inheritor].”
I blink. The words start to register in my head.
“WHAT?! ME!? I thought she was going to give it to someone else? Like you! Or someone else- Why me?! The… This is Brynhild’s creation! The perk that can bypass the leveling system! Why am I-”
“Calm yourself.” said Amelia, “I nominated you as the last person to obtain Brynhild’s creation. Brynhild made three pills that contain the [Defeat Inheritor]. I do not want you to explore the world without some assurance of power. With the [Defeat Inheritor] and the help of your knights, you will be able to suppress any obstacle in your way. This is my gift to you. I know the pain you went through, just waiting to be free. So I wanted to make it up to you.”
“Ah…” How many times must I say this?
My mom is awesome. I could not help but stay in her embrace for a bit longer. Embracing her favorite daughter, Amelia just strokes my back, cherishing this warm feeling.
“Alright. Enough of this. Wear your best armor and meet up with Brynhild.”
With that, I start to change out of my dress… Then I realize my mom was in her bra and panty, screaming a bit.
----------------------------------------
Nero's POV
“...that is the plan.” Nero told all of his knights about Amelia’s plan. He was going to tell a select few, but as the former general, he has to be blunt and honest to all of them. If they did not go with the plan... He'll figure something out. Nero was ready to knock them out or... kill them.
“Why? What the hell Nero?! This plan is messed up!” They were in an underground cellar, far from prying ears. “Are you sure about this? We are killing Gale for…”
“It is fine.” Gale stops Titan, “I longed for death. As long as this benefits Aisha, I do not mind dying.”
"This is wrong though..." A knight mutters. Another one interjects him, "And? We came here for something. If Aisha is to be the next Imperator, then she will be Imperator-"
"She has a choice-"
"Choice to get caught up in our fight?! She's just a young girl! She has a goddamn choice!" Another knight exclaim.
The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
"SILENCE." Golem shouted, "Nero..." I let out a sigh. Most of these knights are quite young but there are a decent amount of veterans in the group. I know Zen will do whatever I tell him to do. Titan though...
“This is wrong, Nero! Aisha does not know about it. Hell, this event with fucking Valarie will traumatize her! You know what a curse can do- WE are cursed!” He points at himself. “If Gale dies, she will be obligated to help us! She will be tricked into helping us! Isn’t that wrong?!”
“I know Titan.” Nero bitterly says, “But understand that we are leaderless. This is a gamble. I will be ready to bloody my hands and sacrifice my own life if necessary. We need a strong leader, stronger than our previous one. I came here to seek that leader, and Aisha will be that leader.” No words ring through the air for a few minutes.
"This surely reminds me of our stupid arguments with that old man." Dan, being an old veteran looks at Nero, "Tell me, you didn't do that with him..."
"I did." Nero did not lie with Dan. Hearing a heavy sigh from the vet, he shakes his head.
"You're a fool, but you were with that geezer from the very beginning, right?" Nero did not answer his question, hearing a sad chuckle come out from Dan.
"What are you-" Gallant was going to bother Dan about the details, yet the shield warrior just laughs it off.
"You lot aren't going to win. We shall proceed as planned." Dan announce.
"B-But you know-"
"Of course I know it's not right." The old man gets off of the barrel, looking at each knight, "But we signed up for this, didn't we? If you aren't with us, you should walk away now. Walk away from Aisha, walk away from this damnation that we have treaded for decades, abandon the hopes of rebuilding our faction." There was silence in the room, the helmet gazing at each knight.
"Figured. We're not quitters... and we did sign up for this fucked up job. Yeah, I know you don't like it, Titan. I DON'T like it either." He looks over his shoulder to Nero, "But this is why we're the Black Knights. We're cursed to do what WE want. Yes, Aisha will be guilted to help us... But knowing the lass, she loves us dearly. She a smart gal, she'll figure this all out. If she'll kill us for this, so be it. At the least, we did not betray our Imperator's last wish."
The knights look at each other, letting out their sighs.
"Man... this is messed up."
"Yeah, yeah, grumble and bitch about it." One of the knights whispered, "Let's do what we have to do."
"Thank you-"
"Don't thank me." Dan whispers to Nero, "You suck at appealing to the youngsters. You would always side with your old mate... Then again, you were blood brothers..." Nero slowly nods at his statements.
It's true.
He would always do what his old leader told him to do. They did a lot for a very, very long time. It was only fair for him to carry out his friend's last wish.
He should have died with him.
“... I will comply with the command. I just know that I will not like it. I trust in your leadership, Nero.” Titan ushered that, leaving the place with most of the knights. The old general stood there, knowing full well why Titan was in a foul mode.
Who wouldn't be?
Nero's focus turns to Gallant, the dual wielder.
He asks Nero, “Why was I chosen to watch over Aisha after her escape? Titan is her bodyguard- I have no right to take his place.”
“You are not. As her teacher though, I want you to get her off the training wheels. She will need help with the real world. She cannot rely on us forever. But for now, she can. You taught her how to fight, you should tutor her about this world. What to do when she is out in the wilderness, bargaining, trades, and much more. I need him to do an important task for me while you do this. I cannot trust anyone else with this task except for a select few. I plan to take Zen with me.”
"...as you command. Yet... you know I hold onto that one particular object." Nero did not know what Gallant was speaking of. To clarify his question, he mentions it, "THAT weapon. The one we picked up from back then."
Ah...
“Hold onto it for now. I hope that we can find a substitute to fulfill the conditions, but if it comes down to it, if you are about to die or if you know that you won't see her again, give Aisha that weapon at all cost,” says Nero.
“As you command. I shall take my leave.” Watching the last knight leave the cellar, Nero stood there, reminiscing.
Everyone had a rough journey here.
The weapon Gallant bothered him about was... a strange artifact before they left their lands.
Nero forgot about the weapon.
A cursed Souleater.
Souleaters are unique weapons. They choose their users and they have certain requirements to fulfill. Nero took a handful of these weapons before they left their homeland. Several of his knights own their unique Souleaters. The requirements vary along with their rarity. The higher the requirement, the stronger the weapon. Finding a Souleater is no easy feat. To acquire one, one must travel into a dungeon. Sadly, not all dungeons give out Souleaters.
A dungeon’s rank will determine if a Souleater will be present. At level five or below, those dungeons will not have a Souleater. Level five through seven might have one. Ultimately, anything above rank seven will hand out Souleaters like candy. The ranking of a dungeon is handled by the Adventurer’s Guild.
Another way to obtain a Souleater is by buying one. The cost will be stupidly high though. They can range depending on it’s worth. The cheapest cost for a Souleater weapon would be at one hundred and twenty thousand gold. Factors like does the weapon have an enchantment, how many, was it hard to acquire, where did it come from, and other sorts will determine the weapon’s value.
A cursed Souleater is very rare.
Yet dangerous.
Dangerous to the point that it can kill anyone who attempts to use it.
The one in Gallant’s storage ring is extremely rare. Apparently, from the reports, the Souleater demand blood. Specifically, deaths. To unlock the weapon, three friends must die. How to fulfill the said requirement is questionable. When one tries to use the weapon, it will state the requirements that must be done, but it will not state how to do it.
For this requirement, one could kill three friends to unlock it. Another method could be watching your friends die in combat. This weapon is a sacred Souleater that could not fall into the enemy’s hand. However, the old general will need to figure out a way to unlock it. Whatever the case, this weapon will be gifted to Aisha once they unlock it.
Nero's mind remembers their escape. Their defeat.
All of them retreated from the final battle.
The Extinction. The last battle where their faction leader stood his ground with the last of their warriors. The Black Knights were cursed individuals that would not shirk from their duties. Protecting the weak, providing for their people, serving their leader, fighting for their land, the Black Knights were known throughout the north. They made a lot of enemies and allies. Draconians, witches, vampires, and other groups made a pack with them whereas several new factions became sworn enemies.
Their most hated enemies pushed them to ruin. And this group came out of nowhere. No one knew about their origins, but they could easily contend with these cursed warriors. They, too, were vicious and cursed in their own right.
The Death Knights.
Death Knights are known for their cruel nature. Not saying that a Death Knight cannot be friendly, the fact that they are a Death Knight means that they consume and use souls naturally. Their class converts souls into death energy. Like mana and chi, death energy is their fuel source. Their kills power them. Depending on the techniques they use, it will deplete a fair amount of death energy. Compared to a Black Knight, by default, the Death Knights are stronger. Unlike other classes, Death Knights will go through multiple phases. A Death Knight’s strength will rely on their death energy and their fight. A long fight will only strengthen them. Especially if they can kill anyone or anything around them. Rank means nothing to these vicious warriors. A rank four can easily trample over a rank thirteen Black Knight with their special traits alone.
This faction alone pushed the Black Knights to turmoil. They conquer their lands and kill their soldiers with relative ease. The former general clutch his hands into fists, remembering the death of his comrades. The Death Knights knew them too well. They would target fleeing civilians just to draw them out. By their code, Black Knights must defend the helpless. Using this against them, the Death Knights easily drew them out and killed them. Or tried to. For every knight that died, they took down three of theirs.
Yet they did not win.
They could not win.
Outnumbered, the Black Knights retreated to their last stronghold. Nero’s group was supposed to die with them. Was. Their faction leader, the Dark Imperator, told Nero to leave and find a new leader. A stronger leader that can lead the Black Knights into salvation. A faction that will not make the same mistakes as before. The Imperator knew that they would not win against the incoming invasion. Even with the mightiest warriors at his side, they will die.
And he knew that he would die as well.
He could have escaped, but he stayed. He knew that someone wanted him dead.
Nero tried to reason with the Dark Imperator, expressing concerns to die with him, but he denied it. He knew that Nero can accomplish his goal, entrusting the future of the Black Knights to him. Selecting the few knights who would help him, they left the Dark Imperator and went south.
How long has it been?
A hundred years? Fifty years? His sense of time was bad. Is bad.
Nero chuckles to himself. He was mad- no, he is still angered by his death. He wanted to die with his leader. His friend.
The fool.
He ordered him to do this instead, denying him death. He is too old for this, yet he does not regret the new memories in his old brain. Titan will become the new general. He is capable of being stronger than him.
Like Brynhild’s viewpoint, the rank system is obsolete. In the face of true strength, Titan can overcome him in mere minutes with the right weapons. Titan was a former soldier within the Dark Imperator’s army. A real knight on the battlefield. He would single-handedly save his comrades when others won’t. He would protect the innocents. He would also complete his orders to the best of his abilities. When they ordered him to hold the line, he fought against an army of Death Knights by himself. The enemies were at God rank. At the time, Titan was only a Demigod. This, in itself, is a great accomplishment.
The Dark Imperator, Nero, and several other individuals acknowledge two things from this. One, the ranking system is stupid to some extent. Basing one’s strength because of their rank does not guarantee a win. Recorded documents show several engagements where a low ranking warrior would win against a high ranking one. Secondly, Titan is important. As a young man with tremendous strength, he is an inspiration for the young. He has a fresh mind on things they cannot comprehend, and he is quick on his feet. When Aisha was abducted, he deduced where she was and how to save her.
The old general shakes his head.
Sacrifice.
A huge factor in life. The Dark Imperator sacrifice the majority of the Black Knights for the few. Amelia sacrifices herself for Valarie. Nero will sacrifice some knights to make Aisha stronger. Shoving morales aside, Nero will do what he must. He cannot break the promise he made with the Dark Imperator.
It would be a disgrace.
There was so much to do, so little time though. The little incident with those idiotic sons brought forth a storm. A nasty one. Several high ranking individuals are approaching their settlement. Amelia’s plan to overthrow Eadric and kick him off the throne will have to wait.
Emperor Titus’ armies are approaching.
Aisha's POV
After I changed into my armor, I stand beside Brynhild. Amelia was there too with her armor as well. I have to say, my mom looks like an adventurer. Her armor covers every inch of her body, yet it has a slim fit, hugging her physique. One can see her curves, the slender arms, breasts, and even her ass- wait, I should not mention the last two parts. Staring at Brynhild and Amelia, they looked alike. Somewhat. They look like they are in the same group. Brynhild whistles at my mom.
“Damn. You can still fit in that. I thought you wouldn’t be able to.”
“You calling me fat?” Amelia glares at the genius.
“No, no, no! Hell no! I was just shocked at how it still fits you after all these years. Besides, you are conscious of your looks. I doubt you’ll become some lazy fatass like some geniuses I have met.”
“I feel like you got a bit of fat. Your hips are a bit wider than before.” Amelia shot back.
“H-H-Hey! You’re lying! I have you know, I-” I decide to stop Brynhild with a cough. They glance at me, snapping out of their silly conversation. “Right. Sorry, Aisha.”
“What do I have to do?” I asked.
“Easy. Give me your hand.” I stretch my hand out in front of her. Brynhild takes a small sphere out of her storage ring. She places the brown ball into my left hand. What is this? “This is the pill that contains [Defeat Inheritor]. I will explain to you about the perk once you eat this. You better do it soon. I do not want anyone coming out of nowhere and snatching it. It took me decades to make this perk.” Since she gave me the okay, I shrug my shoulder and ate the pill. Chocolate? Yeah, it’s chocolate. I guess it was that easy to eat? I was hoping for something else. A bit more excitement out of it. Once I swallow it, a notification appeared in my head.
You have obtained [Defeat Inheritor].
“The Defeat Inheritor will absorb every perk, skill, and technique from a defeated foe. You can obtain racial perks that you could not receive, you can learn things like the Dark Arts even if you are not on the dark side, and much more. It is my creation and my response against the ranking system. The perk will always be in effect. No one can take it away. Even the highest curse or Dark Art will not work. You are the last person to receive this perk from me.” I bow, grateful that Brynhild gave me a wonderful gift. “Also, happy late birthday.”
“Thank you.”
“You will need to explain the [Defeat Inheritor] thoroughly now. Aisha will have no clue about the new changes and whatnot.” Amelia pointed out.
“The [Defeat Inheritor] levels up differently compared to the regular rank system. When it comes to leveling, you will need at least ten skills at the appropriate level. To some extent. The requirement will be multiplied by ten for each rank. For example, getting to rank two will require ten skills around level ten to nineteen.”
Oh? A new system for ranking? It sounds like a hassle. Voicing my concerns, I asked this.
“So I will need to level accordingly? Despite the high-level skills I may obtain, that will not guarantee a rank up right away?”
“Right. The [Defeat Inheritor] forces you to earn the rank ups. You will have to be specific and level the right skills accordingly. This can be viewed as a double-edged sword. With the [Defeat Inheritor] perk, you may not be able to level up due to the skill levels you may gain from your defeated foes. Let’s say, you kill a rank thirteen warrior. Most of their skills are level one hundred twenty or above. If you are a rank one warrior, you will not become a rank thirteen warrior, even if you kill these high ranking warriors. This can be used to your advantage. As a rank one warrior, no one will know that you have skills of a rank thirteen. Some individuals can dispel the [Hidden Rank], but no one can analyze your skills. The downside to this is the benefits. If you never level yourself up properly, you will not obtain the rewards. You will see what I am referring to later. Each of these benefits differ from one another person to another.” Absorbing Brynhild’s information, I just tilt my head.
Why does this perk act so differently? Brynhild did not make these conditions, right? It seems like a lot of work. It was way too specific. Also, benefits? What sort of benefits? And they differ from each other? So Brynhild does not have the same benefits as mine? I scratch my head in frustration. How advance is this perk!? What is the process of making your perk?!
“A genius does not reveal their secrets. Besides, I could only make three of these pills. You are the last person to obtain my life’s work.” Brynhild explains.
“When it comes to the benefits, you will see when the time comes. Patience Aisha.” Ugh. I just roll my eyes. My mom knows me well. Curiosity will ALWAYS get the better of me. I hate being ignorant.
“That’s all I have to say. Go and fetch Nero. I have something to tell him.” I nod my head, leaving Brynhild and Amelia.
Amelia's POV
Watching Aisha depart back towards the mansion, Amelia turns to her friend.
“I know you can sense the other geniuses nearby.”
“Emperor Titus must have told them juicy information about the pill or my presence. This Emperor is an idiot. Doing this action will only label him as an enemy of the light side. I hope he will die for his foolishness.”
“To create your pill, did you do the impossible?” Amelia asks, “With your new title and reputation on the light side, you killed something unimaginable. The number of pills you have shown this.” Brynhild shakes her head.
“I will neither confirm or deny your statement. I dived into a lot of research and theories to make this perk. I did it for you. Heh, I bet Valarie did something to help you as well. We… haven’t been in touch ever since you left.” She sighs. “I guess I will come and visit later when everything dies down. For now, I will have to leave. I need to go back to my regular schedule and avoid dealing with it… idiots. Even with my new position, I cannot kill people willy nilly. Will you be okay? Do you want me to send an army over here? You will be safe, right?”
“I will be fine. I should deal with this unexpected issue myself,” replied Amelia.
“You better be safe. If I hear that these idiots do something to you… I will show no mercy. I declare them an enemy of the light, and we will burn them.”
“I will be fine.” Brynhild eyes at Amelia.
“Alright. I will take my leave now. Later Amelia.”
“Later.” Amelia walks up to Brynhild, pulling her in for a kiss. The two stood there, embracing one another until Brynhild steps back. After a few seconds, Amelia was by herself. Distant shouting kills the silence. Amelia directs her attention towards the entrance of her settlement. Frowning, Amelia notices the rising smoke wisping in the air.
With their positioning, no enemy should be able to attack them. Surrounded by allies, they should be safe from any invading army. Due to the recent incident with Titus’ sons, Emperor Titus is attacking them. He ended his relationship with the Graham family. The alliance with this emperor is nonexistent. The man is short-tempered, greedy, and power-hungry. Hearing about Brynhild, he must be pissed at her appearance. Not only did his sons return to him with a twisted arm that can never be healed, he never met Brynhild personally. This can be seen as a betrayal. An act of treason. The emperor should be present when a grand individual, like a genius, is in their country. Angered by this, he points his sword at them.
“It is time.” Amelia walks back to her mansion, pulling a double-sided sword out of her storage ring. As she reaches the back door of her mansion, Mel and several maids stand there with their own set of armor and weapons.
“Let us begin.”
