-Order of Light Tavern-
"So why is the guild leader looking for us again?" We're now on our way to the castle. I'm not really sure why... unless that tavern keeper figured it out.
"It's something important. Just follow us," He said. Why so serious all of a sudden?
We entered the castle. It was really impressive. The castle has barracks, stables, even archery training ground. It looks like it was built for the purpose of defending the most important people in the city. There are more guards here. Most of them are wearing really good equipment unlike us who are only using beginner equipment.
"We're almost there, make sure to respect the leader later," Well, that's obvious, Mr. Guard.
We arrived at the Leader's roundtable where high ranking officers conduct meetings and talk about political stuff. How did I know this? It's just a hunch.
"Here they are Sir, Mr. Scythus, and his party members," Wow, they're pretty formal towards him.
"Oh, if it isn't the party who defeated the Wild Lion Bandits. Nice to see you guys doing well after taking down one of the notorious gangs around the city." He excitedly proclaimed.
"They don't look that strong, though," He whispered to the guard. We can hear you, you know.

"Sir, they can hear you," The guard whispered back to the Leader.
"Ahem, Ahem. Did I say that loud? I thought I was on mute. Sorry about that. Hahaha!" The leader said. At least make a good excuse and please stop laughing. We all know that there's no such thing as a mute feature here.
"So how did you find the gang? My trackers can't even find their hideout but you didn't just find it, you guys executed them all. Good work decreasing their ranks. Anyways, I sent my officers to wait for them to re-spawn and catch them. Our prison is large enough to accommodate more guests. Hahaha!" He said and once again, laughed. The guild leader sounds like an easy-going person too. How is he a leader?
"Well, we just lure them out and ambush them when they're not in a group. Somehow, we managed to defeat the boss," I explained what happened briefly.
"But if I'm not wrong, their ranks are way higher than you guys. You got some good strategy there. How about you let me see all you've got and given you a job based on your talent?" Is he trying to hire us? I don't want to join the political affairs. It's a no-no for me.
The guards led us to the training ground and after looking around, this place is really a good way to practice but I prefer fighting monsters for better results.
"You, taller missy, you can hit Mr. Deandre here. He's one of the guards that have the highest constitution. Even a dragon's breath can't scratch him. Get ready missy," He ordered Mr. Deandre to use his protective stance.

"My name is Akko Sir. FIREBALL!" She focused all her mana and created a large fire projectile that exploded on impact. It was so powerful that the guard got knocked back, though it didn't deal a good amount of damage, I can tell.
What do you expect? The attack was so obvious and the guard was in his best protective stance. I can tell that he has a higher rank than most of us here.
"Oh, it was a nice hit. You can be one of our offensive magic spellcasters. You're next little missy," He's kind of rude, though.
"Her name is Lili Sir and she uses support spells to heal allies," Akko said on behalf of Lili.
"Of course, of course, Supports are always the best class in a fight, how about you Mr. Archer?" Elou has good aim and good physical attacks. He also uses his bow really well. The arrows are so fast the Bandit Boss had a hard time dodging and blocking them.
"My name is Elou and I'm an archer. Sir Deandae, you better prepare," It's Deandre, not Deandae. You should at least listen when people are talking.
He knelt to the ground and pulled the string and timed his shot perfectly.
"SNIPE SHOT!" He shot the arrow and it was so fast that I can I hardly see the arrow. It slightly pierced the shield of the guard but that's it. It would be really a good way to murder those light geared like me, also good for assassination but not so good against a full heavy armor targets.
"Nice shot Mr. Archer. That was enough to assassinate a bandit without him knowing. Lastly, Scyfus If I'm not wrong. Do your best," It's Scythus, damn it. Elou and this leader would really get along.
"It's Scythus Sir," I grabbed my dagger and use simple side slash that the guard blocked effortlessly. I don't want to use my techniques just to impress this Guild leader. And as I said earlier I don't plan on joining them.
"Alright! That's the power I was looking for! Well, for a janitor that is," He is really pissing me off.
"Hold it right there!" I heard a familiar voice not far from here. Oh jeez, it's her again.
"Ms. Celeste, nice to see you here," I mumbled.
"I know it's the weakling. Sss... I'm pretty sure I know your name but I think I forgot it somehow. Haha," She laughed. It's so annoying. Is it just me, or these guys have a problem remembering or even saying names.
"It's Scythus Ms. Celeste. Anyways, what's with the shout?" I scratched my head trying to look for an answer.
"So, is that all you've got? The wounds we found from the corpses earlier weren't from stabs or blades against their leader. And I'm pretty sure no one here in your party can use that kind of attacks," Good job investigating the corpses, my lady.
"Well, I really don't know how to answer that but I'm pretty sure it's just us who did that. We used spells so maybe that's why" I excused.
"Maybe you're right. We found some burnt wounds which came from fire spells," Just stop blubbering already and let us go...
"So, what do you think? Do you want to join our little guild?" The guild leader asked us.
"Nope, I'm sorry Guild leader but I don't think I can join your guild I don't think I have what it takes," I said.
"Ohh, I wasn't talking to you. I'm talking to your teammates, they look so helpful. We are currently recruiting for members," Damn it, what a way to embarrass me, Mr. Guild Leader.
I just walked away and left them. I have exploring to do later with the cheeky brat so I need to prepare.
"Hey Scy, why did you leave? He even offered us a good job you know," Elou asked worriedly.
"Then why didn't you accept it? Jeez," I implied.
"Well, you declined the invitation so we also did. We are a party, remember? But will you at least tell us the reason?" He insisted.
"It's because if we join them, the time for us to get even stronger will be limited. We can't explore freely because of the political issues between guilds. Look at their members, they may be well geared but their guards are at least Rank C at most due to standing all day and doing nothing. It will be troublesome for me, not to mention, he sounded so arrogant," I explained.
"Well, that's reasonable," He replied.
"Anyways. I have a mission later with Guild of Light. They will explore a dungeon in the forest later. Want to join us?" I asked them.
"Are we qualified, though? I'm pretty sure it's for higher ranked players,"
"Don't worry. Just leave it to me. And let's prepare our supplies," I confidently said.
