'Why does it sound human-like? I thought systems are machines with a cold voice initiated with them?' Rave asked. He was curious because in every AI, they have the same cold, mechanical voice. But what he heard is different. After a while, Rave didn't wait for the system to reply, since it looks like it has no intention to talk again.
With that in mind, Rave is tempted to use his talent right now. Not only that he needed a skill or power to protect himself, but he doesn't know if there are other places around him that can give this many bonuses in Luck.
A bit excited to have his first skill and yet afraid that it would be useless, Rave immediately uses the opportunity. 'Well, if I receive a useless skill or weapon, then I would have to wait for only 30 days, so it's not really a problem. I'll find some decent job in the meantime if that happens.' Rave thought about his next steps in case there's a mishap in his plans.
After a while, a prompt of the system pops up in front of him. He quickly looks around, and the people around him don't seem to notice or see the prompt. 'Looks like I'm the only one who can see this.' Rave happily thought.
[Opportunity has been redeemed.]
[Redeemable Opportunity for the first time are enhanced by the System; you may choose an appropriate category to enhance it. It depends on your luck on what grade the item in that category will receive.]
[Skill/Weapon/Armor/Items/Potions/Enhancement]
[You may only choose one of the categories.]
"Having a skill is more important. I don't think the system will give me something that I can't use. As for a weapon, I can buy one later instead once I have money. If I own something like Excalibur in this world, it might get stolen instead. Armor is pretty useful, but having defense will not work out if I can't defend or attack. Items, potions, and enhancements are not useful for me at the moment." Rave has a quick thought about what he wants to choose.
He prefers a skill; whatever skill it is, once it is enhanced, it should be pretty strong or useful, and that's what he needs right now.
"I'll choose 'Skill'." Rave said to the system.
[Skill was chosen for enhancement; effects of the skill will multiply depending on the Luck of your character.] The System said. After a while, a prompt appeared, and Rave received his first-ever skill.
[Successfully receive a skill - Elemental Surge]
"That name's intimidating. System, can you give me the description of the skill?" Rave asks the system. Then, a blue transparent board appeared in front of him, providing the description of the skill.

"This is amazing! It uses every element that exists? But how can I use this? Do I have an element I'm compatible with right now?" Rave saw the description and was amazed, yet he remembers that he just arrived in this world and he doesn't have any idea what elements he has right now.
"System! Can you tell me what's the use of this skill? I don't even know what element I have to use the skill." Rave has no other options but to ask the system.
[I can guarantee that your body is compatible with any type of elements; you just need a way to gain them. But for this skill, due to its grade, you're only limited to using one of the elements.] The System said.
"Oh... So is there an element that I can use right now? What is it?" Rave asks in anticipation.
[Thunder, or to say the least, it's electric.] The System said.
"Electric? And it mentions about the effects right? What's the effect of Electric?" Rave continues to ask the System; after a moment, another transparent board appeared before Rave.
---
[Electric]
Effects:
Electrified: 15% chance of a stunning effect on opponents.
Overcharge: 25% chance of causing opponents to suffer increased vulnerability to subsequent attacks.
Conduction: 50% chance of spreading residual shock damage to nearby enemies.

"The effects are incredible! So in every element, they have their own effects and power. This is truly wonderful, even though its grade is currently standard and one element can only be used at the moment. This is already powerful and will help me in the long run." Rave said.
After a while, Rave didn't have any other business in the Library; he was able to learn as much as he can about the world. There's some lingering question about some similarities of New Horizon and Foran. Even though he was sure that there's no connection between the two, the system he had is making him doubt his thinking.
There's also some information which he was sure he was familiar with, but that was it. He thought that he had seen it somewhere but doesn't remember when.
After a while, Rave decided to leave the Library and join the Adventurer Guild; he actually thinks this through. At first, he was thinking of joining the Skyward Nomads, but this was impossible as they don't have a branch in the current city he was in.
Currently, in the world of Foran, there are 5 countries that exist, which are Eldoria, Drakoria, Sylvanor, Ardentia, Celestria. Rave is currently in the city of Elmbrook, which is within the country of Sylvanor.
As for the Skyward Nomads, their guild can only be found in Ardentia; it's a neighboring country of Sylvanor, but it would take months to reach there in a carriage and a year by foot.
Rave wanted to join Mystic Arcanum as well because he likes magic; magic didn't exist on earth, and their guild specializes in Arcane knowledge and Mystic Arts. The only problem is that to enter their guild, you need to have an invitation from the higher-ups of this guild or royalty to boot.
So the only option that Rave has is Adventurer, but he's not disappointed because being an adventurer means you have more freedom than most of the guilds. If you want to work, then work. You want to rest? Then rest. The only time that the Adventurer Guild will require you to work is if there's an urgent matter or a personal request; other than that, you can decide for yourself what you want to do.
