After filling his stomach with the nutritious heart of the troll James doesn't waste any more time and immediately dig the brain of the troll, he is looking for the magical essence of a monster, the core. Shifting through the bloody content of the troll brain he finally found it, a translucent crystal the size of a finger, he pocketed it and move on to the body. Using the body bag he prepared earlier James put the corpse inside of it, or at least he tried, it turns out the troll is bigger than the bag he bought so to save some space he ripped off the arm and leg of the troll.

"Oy Chris, get over here and help me with these" James shouted at the recovering Chris.

"Okay sure"

Soon with the help of Chris the troll corpse is secured inside the bag, because they don't bring any kind of sharp object with them the work is messy, there's blood everywhere, on the bag, on the ground and their clothes.

"Um, Claire can you help me clean this up?"

"Of course, stand there and don't move"

Chris stand to where Claire pointed and do as she said. Then there's ice growing like a moss all over Chris body, after encasing Chris completely the ice started melting and turn to water, the blood on his body also melt together with the ice. James is quite surprised seeing all of that so he asked Claire.

"I didn't know you're a cryomancer"

"I'm not"

"What? You know that I can see you right?"

"Ah no, I mean, I can't control ice but the temperature"

"Hmmm, interesting" James said while holding his chin like an old man.

"Hey doc, when will we leave ?"Chris asked James who is currently in a deep think. He is thinking about how to implement Claire ability in battle but after thinking about the speed of the ice growing he can't think of any kind of battle situation that can use that.

"It's now! C'mon" James said as nothing happen. He told Chris to haul the bag with him, Chris argue that James is the bigger man of the two but after James remind them that they are currently working for him it is only natural for Chris to, well, work.

They then made their way back to the town, thanks to the troll that scared off all the weaker monster in the area their way back is more peaceful. Soon after they arrived at the farm that separates the town and the forest, there before James go he asked the twins a question he had this whole time.

"Do you live on limbo side of salvation or earth side?"

"Neither, we don't have a home to come back to"

"Really? Then how did you survive this long?"

"Well, we usually rent a room at Limbo side for the night since its cheaper and goes hunting on the day to earn cores"

"And you do that every single day?"

"Not every day sometimes I and Claire got enough core for two or three days and we used that time to relax"

*sigh* "I can't believe you even survived this long" James said not to the twins but to himself as he truly cannot believe 15 years old kid can even take all of that stress, he knew he can't.

"18 since the apocalypse and lost count since then"

"Wait what? But you are so small"

"Yeah, yeah we know. We got that a lot, now can we go back already this thing is heavy" Chris said pointing at the bag of a troll he is currently carrying on his back.

"No wait," James said and goes deep into thinking, he paced around the twins eyeing them from head to toe making them a little bit uncomfortable, he finally stops moving and continues "I have a proposal to make for you two, how about you two lives with me but in exchange, you'll do anything I told you to. Hmm, how about it?"

"So you want us to be your slave?" Claire asked

"What!? NO, that was not what I mean, you will be, uh, Uhm, a servant. That's right, a servant, I'll pay you with cores."

"sure... I guess, how about you Claire"

"As long as we get paid"

"Good, now you are officially the ... maybe calling you a servant is a little bit too much"

"I honestly do not care what you called us doc, I just want to get this thing off my back"

James and his two newly acquired servant made their way back home, they enter the town and got the attention from the public thanks to the very suspicious bag Chris is carrying on his back. While it's true that the world has changed and with it the law, a suspicious bag is still suspicious.

Halfway through the town, they are approached by two men wearing leather armour with a big W symbol on their chest, indicating that they belong to the Warlords of the new age, a guild that controls Salvation the town they are currently in. They looked confident from afar but when they see James they immediately turn uncomfortable.

Seeing that they approached them first but didn't say anything, James is the one who asked first "Good evening gentlemen, do you need anything from us?"

"Ah, so its doctor James, it's good to see you again"

"Have we meet before?"

"Haha, you may not remember me but you healed my broken hip before, I'm Gabe btw"

"So Gabe is there a problem"

"Well, uh you see, we on the guild have few reports about a man carrying a suspicious bag. We just want to check on it"

"It's not a person, its a monster corpse"

"haha, I, of course, believe you but you see the people.."

*sigh*"Of course, Chris show him the bag"

Gabe and his silent friend then checked the bag and found that it is truly a monster corpse and not human corpse like some of the people reported. After that, they said their goodbye and leave

"Hey Gabe, when you get back, send my regards to Jack will you"

"Of course doc, I'm sure the guild master will be happy hearing that"

They then continue to get home, on their way back James asked Claire all sort of question regarding her ability and how she used mana. She explained in a vague way since she herself doesn't really understand it, she said that when she takes mana out of an area it will turn colder and when she adds more of it the area will turn hotter.

While talking about it they don't realise that they have arrived at James house. Because they arrived in a hurry before the twins don't notice how big James house really is compared to the other building on the town whether it's on the Limbo side or Earth side. James House is a two-story-high building where the lower floor is used specifically for medical purposes and the second floor is where James truly lives.

"Chris, can you bring the troll to the lab?"

"sure," Chris said happily since he wants to part with the heavy thing immediately but then he remembers that he doesn't know where the lab is. "Doc, I don't know where the lab is"

"Oh yeah, of course, let me shows you around your new home"

Like what he said, James shows the twins around the house. Starting with the request of Chris, the lab where James conduct his experiment, next he shows them their own room that is located right next to James own room, he usually uses that room for storage but since he also has few beds just laying around he decided to make the room their own bedrooms.

After showing them around it is already time to eat James show them his kitchen and got a nice reaction from the twins, they are surprised to see that there's a working fridge on James kitchen, an electric stove and other appliance that used electricity. After the manapocalypse happen, electricity has turned to luxury commodities, that's why they are so surprised. They didn't know that being a doctor in this new age will bring so much fortune.

"Doc, can you taught me how to be a doctor," Chris asked in a serious face, he is enticed by the wealth of being a doctor.

"What? Why?"

"I would like to help heal those in need"

"Are you?"Claire asked cynically

"well sure" James answer nonchalantly

"Really?"

"No, not really"

"why?"

"I don't have time"

"B-but "

"Okay here's the deal, I'll let you see me working and you can learn from observing me"

"Thankyou so much"

"Sure, sure. Now let's eat, Claire since I don't trust Chris with cooking why don't you cook for us?"

"Ah really? I can use the kitchen?"

*sigh* "Yeah"
