Bastards

In her pajamas and with her hair tangled she presents herself in the kitchen.

Why would she arrange herself? She feels comfortable around Ralph and the boy is not home. She finds it easy to accommodate with the new home she will be living in. The man is having an apron on, preparing something that smells divine. Exactly the reason she is in front of the door dressed like that.

Dina tiptoes till she is near the man. She tries to peak in the pan but his back is blocking her sight. As she renounces at the idea of spying on him, she taps his back.

"Good morning! "Her grin makes Ralph chuckle as he sees the way she looked.

"Morning…" Another voice hears in the back.

Dina turns and the view is priceless. Angelo is wearing a tuxedo. His blonde hair is styled, waves of his medium hair fall on his broad shoulder. The suit fits perfectly, highlights his muscles. He looked like a prince.

Dina is sure that if she would have been a normal girl she would probably start fan-girling over him. Poor think that she only saw the fun part of the whole picture.

Her tears fall as she crumble on the floor as her laugh echoes in the building.

Who wears a tuxedo at 7 am in a Saturday morning. Probably only Angelo.

"HAHAHAH.. I .. I can't .. take it .. anymore…HAHAHAH!"

She wipes her tears and as she looks him in the eye realizes that he is angry. He glares with a cold expression. As he gets closer, he smirks and changes his color of his eyes.

He looks down on her.

His red eyes remind her of what he is in reality. She feels her muscles stiffening and her laugh pauses as she can't seem to take her eyes off him. His red eyes make her shutter.

"You should laugh at yourself. A girl should always be dressed nicely. Pajamas? Your hair is like a bird's nest! "He sneers.

She remains calm.

Who is he tell her how should she dress? Is not like she will put in practice what he says. It is better to be in your comfortable pajamas than in a suit. She thinks that she is not having any reason to be ashamed by the way she is dressed.

Ralph butts in." Why are you here?"

"I just went to buy a suit for my date with Mira. "He sneers down on Dina again, now with more passion.

Dina stands up and pushes him aside.

She is indifferent but on the inside the curiosity sparks at the words he said.

Who is she? Is she beautiful? Were they together for a long time?

She wanted to meet the girl. I mean, she was intrigued by the girl who could put up with his nasty temper. It would be more probable that she is with him for his body. Anyways this is making her smile, thinking at how would Angelo look when he is kissing the girl name Mira.

She waits patiently for Ralph to put the onion omelet on her plate. She is refraining for asking questions about the girl. To keep her mind occupied she reads a newspaper.

Another two people killed by vampires. The details of the slaughter make he frown. Her calm demeanor darkens as she reads more.

"How can they do this? Bastards!" Her voice fills the silence. Her thought slip out of her mouth without realizing that she is siting at the table with two vampires.

She wraps the paper and tosses it on the floor. Dina is aware of the blunder she had made.

She glances at the two vampires. Ralph is eating as if he didn't heard what she said. Angelo on the other hand is frowning. He hits the fork on the table and with a wipe he clans himself elegantly. Dina gazes for a moment at him and he meets her eyes.

It wasn't anger. His deep dark green eyes are giving a sense of grief. As if he sympathizes with what she said.

Dina is confused. She definitely thought that he will sprout some nonsense again.

"Not all vampires are criminals. "He mumbles as if he himself doesn't believe what he says.

Dina doesn't know what to say. She diverts her eyes. The food in front of her is not as tasty looking. The smell is good but not that provocative. The sad mood makes her loose appetite. She nibble on the small omelet as if she has to force it down.

The boy is right but for her didn't exist good vampires till yesterday. How can she make herself believe that vampires can be good too? For her it sounds like madness. A vampire is a vampire and eventually will kill people to drink their blood.

She eats the egg all, as her hunger kicks in after taking one mouth. Her chair is pushed back and she rises to go wash the plate.

"You know how to wash plates?" Ralph asks as he puts his plate in the tub.

She smiles and starts washing his plate.

"Well, before I came to New York I stayed in the country side. My grandma thought me how to wash dishes and clean the house."

Angelo comes with his plate too. She takes the plate from his hands.

His serious face is missing the frown. A shadow of sadness can be still observed.

Angelo doesn't look good being sad. She splashes him with a little water.

"What are you doing? Searching for treble? "He glares at her.

She ignores him and smiles as she washes his dish. She is way to playful for her own good. The tuxedo he is wearing is probably expensive. But she couldn't stop herself from stirring him up. Better than seeing him sad. She was more comfortable this way.

Angelo puts his hands under the water and splashes her.

"Ya! After I washed your plate you splash me! "She frowns.

It was her fault but she can't just stop now. Just this time. Only this time she will let have his fun.

Dina nudges him, more to sent him farther form her. She wants to stop the game she started. He trips and falls.

"AHHHHH" His groan startles her. She turns to look. What kind of shit is he pulling this time?

She is terrified when she sees the blood spread on the white floor tales.
