Slowly we stepped onto the final floor of the dungeon. Upon entering, my mind was instantly attacked by the chaos. it was so so strong, I struggled for a half minute before I was able to clear my head and fight it off. the necklaces barely helped it all. At this moment, I knew this floor would be hell of a lot harder than the other floors combined. I felt a sense of helplessness. I looked at my group and noticed that they were struggling as well. Thankfully, they all came through it a few seconds later, with sweat coming from their faces. They looked horrified just from the mind attack. We then started to survey the floor. It was pure darkness at first, then, slowly balls of blue fire started appearing around the walls of the level. Gradually, the entire floor was illuminated. What we saw was beyond what we could have ever imagined.
Covering almost 3/4 of the floor was a hoard of creatures. There were mutated kobolds, mutated goblins as well as another creature type. They were skeletons. The skeletons, with black bones, black armor and various types of weapons. They were all over 6 feet tall. They were lined up in formations like an army would be. The ones with melee weapons and shields were in the front, while the ones with staffs and bows were placed in the back. I wouldn't be surprised if their were a group of creatures with stealth hiding, just waiting to ambush us. This creature army of mutants seemed to be over 200 strong. What was worse, was what was behind them. There was a giant creature that looked like a mix between all three creatures. It had a skeleton body, with black and green bones. It had a boney snout with sharp teeth and empty eyes sockets that seemed to contain endless evil. it had heavy black armor covering it, with a black longsword in it's left paw. It sat on its throne that was made of bones. The combined pressure that this army gave off made me tremble a bit. My whole body felt heavy.
I looked over the stats of majority of the creatures. the weakest of them had a CP of 500, while the strongest other than that mammoth of a boss was 950. Holy shit. A minion was already almost a D-rank. Granted it was probably a high ranked minion, but still. I fearfully look a look at the boss. sure enough I could not read it's stats. At least a D-rank, maybe higher. this was not looking good. The others could probably deal with the boss, but what concerned me was the 200 plus strong army that were in front. We only had 7 people including me. How we were going to fight these things, I had no idea. Thankfully, Nick spoke.
Nick: "Well, I guess this is where all those bastards from the other floors are. What confuses me is why they are here. What is there purpose? For right now, though, we need to focus on the battle ahead. I know this is way more than we could have anticipated. The minions are weak, but the boss is the strongest. I am sure we can defeat it, as it doesn't give off a too dangerous vibe. however, we are fighting an army. We have 7 people. it will be quite a fight, depending on how strong it is and what it does. We need a plan. I think I have on. Alright, everyone, give Aug some health and mana potions. he is the weakest of us all. I do not think that Amy will be able to keep up with healing him if he gets into a precarious situation. I will face the boss. Mike will stay with Aug and keep him safe. Sarah will stay near as well to use her lightning to try and immobilize the enemies. Amy will heal, behind Aug. Nina will make sure we do not get ambushed as well as pick off enemies from stealth. Misha will use her bow to snipe enemies. Aug, you will use your mana bomb to damage groups of them so we can finish them off. Everyone except myself and Nina needs to keep themselves as far as possible while still being in range for your attacks. We do not want to burden Amy too much or she will not be able to keep up. She may be B-rank, but we all have limits. Now, Aug will kick it off and launch a mana bomb in the center of the enemies. Then Sarah, you will use your lightning to try and immobilize the enemies in front. I will use that to charge through and confront that mammoth. Everyone understand their roles?"
We nodded, determination filling our faces. Seeing our confirmation, he nodded as well and we lined back up in our formation. We approached the army in front. The beasts noticed and let out roars. Approaching, I prepared my mana bomb. With my mana, I could only conjure one up that covered about a quarter of the army. Pushing 100 mana into the spell, enough to damage those within 50 square feet, I formed a massive mana bomb in my hand. taking aim at he center of the army's formation, I threw the bomb as soon as it formed. It landed, expanded and explode with a loud boom. Immediately after I attacked, mother stated hers. She held out her hands and tendrils of lightning struck out from her fingers, striking numerous enemies in the front, temporarily immobilizing them. that was when Nick charged. he dashed forwards and right before coming right in front of the army, who already started charging, raised his sword over his head, and chopped straight down toward the beasts. A wave of fire blasted out, racing toward the beasts. Like Moses parting the red sea, monsters dissolved and a wide path was made before him leading to the boss. he charged through.

With the first part of the plan working, the others engaged as well. I drank a mana potion refilling my mana to 1/3, and cast Gatling gun. the beasts were just about in range. My father stayed near my side as well as Misha. Amy was behind me while Nina was flashing around attacking enemies from stealth. Misha launched volleys of arrows that dropped enemies in one shot. My father was using his earth to launch them at the army. My mother was casting lightning bolts towards groups of enemies, wrecking havoc, and immobilizing. Amy was using her light element on the skeletons, their ultimate weakness. The army was dropping like flies. Soon, a few minutes passed and nearly the entire beast hoard was killed. Wondering why Nick wasn't back yet, we hurriedly finished the last of them off and rushed to where the boss was. What we saw caused us to stop in shock.
Nick was on his knees clutching his head as the boss was laughing maniacally. What the fuck was happening. Amy rushed towards him. The boss saw this and waved his sword, sending a wave of black energy toward her. My father immediately cast an earth wall in front of her. BOOM! The wave dispersed, but the wall stood with no cracks or damage. So, the boss was weaker, but why was this situation occurring? Why was Nick like that? Then i looked more carefully. he was acting like he was conflicted, or like he was fighting a war within himself. then I remembered what the chaos element could do. But how? the energy here was not enough to affect us like that. It already tried. Then I looked at the beast. it had a crazy look on it's ugly mug. No way? Did that thing do it? How does he control the chaos element? While I was thinking, Amy was casting healing over nick. The light element poured into his body. At first nothing happened, but a few moments later, Nick slowly stopped clutching his head and black, purple particles came out of his skin. A minute later, it stopped and Nick was climbing back to his feet.
Me: "Nick, the boss can use the chaos element. i don't know how but he can. Be careful."
He looked at me and nodded. he then faced the boss again.
Nick: "You bastard. you will die here today!"
As he prepared to charge him again, something happened that made us all freeze. He spoke.
Boss: "HAHAHA! thanks to my dark savior, I can speak and use the ultimate element to finally break free of this place! once I kill all you cretins, i will gather my army again, break out of here, and slaughter all you bastards that have been killing us for centuries. my lord will rule everything! HAHAHA! DIE!"
We didn't have the time to process this before he lifted his sword and a swung horizontally, unleashing a black purple wave that flew rapidly toward us. We dropped to the ground quickly, bringing us back from our shock. I immediately cast a mana bomb with the light element and launched it toward him. He raised his sword to block but right before it hit, I caused it to explode. he was not prepared for that and he screamed in pain as he flew back a few feet, with the light damaging him. Before he landed, the others attacked, launching attacks of their own, not wanting him to recover, as his chaos elements was way too dangerous. Thankfully, the group was strong and the boss was too weak except for the chaos aspect. With us attacking, he didn't have a chance to utilize it again. he dissolved in screams of pain and rage a minute later.
After the end of the final battle, we all stood around looking at each other with worrying thoughts running through our heads and wondering how the hell we were going to complete this quest, and save our city. This was just the beginning.
