Salazar was ecstatic. He'd succeeded. After who knew how many days, he'd finally done it. There had been times when he'd almost given up, almost lost himself to despair, but he'd managed to push through , and now , he was harvesting the fruits of his labor.
Although he'd finally managed to create the skill, that didn't mean that it was usable yet. For the next three days , Salazar controlled the spiders to scuttle across the room. He used this time to perfect his control and manipulations of the spider. His mana that was trapped in their bodies acted as recorders. As soon as he reabsorbed them back into his body, all the images they 'see' would be transmitted to him. That , or if they were destroyed.
He didn't really understand how this worked , but who was he to question the laws of this world.
Calculating the time he'd spent in this place since he'd arrived , he realized that almost two weeks had passed.
That damn centipede queen , she really was something.
Now that he had some control over his creations, he sent them out to spy. First , he focused on the inhabitants of this place. Using his spiders , he spied on the activities of the low level monsters in the hideout. He wasn't yet confident enough to try his luck with the big boys on his first day.
After a day or two, his confidence grew , so he sent them out en masse. It didn't matter what monster they were , he spied on them, including the centipede queen. By doing so , he discovered that she was still discussing what to do with him with her high ranking subordinates.
The adult Predatory crab monster kept pushing for them to kill him , and it seems that she was being swayed.
Sh*t , I have to do something before this guy gets me killed.

So in his desperation, Salazar sent his creations out into the dungeon to see if they could get information for him to could possibly save or extend his life.
He sent them to the one armed giant territory and the silver furred wolves.
For five days , he heard absolutely nothing, and just when he was starting to get anxious ; his spiders returned with what could only be called 'marvelous news '
According to them, the silver furred wolf king was secretly pregnant and was about to give birth.Apart from her pack no one knew , and any monster that tried to approach during this sensitive time was directly killed. The estimated time of her birth would be in a months time, maybe earlier.
Now , he wasn't an expert in veterinary , but he was quite positive that should this he true , the wolf king would be greatly weakened after just giving birth.
Was this a chance?
But even if that were true , there was still the one armed giant to watch out for. Just when he was contemplating this , he received even better news.
The reason that the giant king only had one arm was that , when he was younger, he fought against a very powerful mage who was passing through the dungeon. The mage severed his arm with a powerful spell, but the magic contained in the spell was so great that part of it had integrated into the stump of his hand.
Every few years or so , the one armed giant went to a secret location on the first floor to try to extract the remaining magic , grinding at it. After many years , he had made great progress.
Now , according to his 'source ' , the giant king was about to disembark to carry out the extraction ritual , for what was hopefully the last time.
The time that both the wolf king and giant king would be distracted and at their most vulnerable was extremely close. This could work.
After preparing a very heartwarming and deliberative speech to convince the centipede queen to take action , he requested an audience with her, which she very reluctantly granted.
After giving a random excuse as to how he got the information, he explained the two situations to her. At first , she was skeptical, thinking that he was trying to trick her and almost killed him from anger , but upon using her [ Truth seeker] , she realized that he truly believed what he was telling her.
Although still doubtful , he contacted some of her spies to verify.
The Centipede queen was the most cunning of them all. She had been planning how to take over he first floor for May years, and had tried to plant spies among her enemies. Although it didn't work for the silver furred wolf king because of the loyalty of the pack, he succeeded with regards to the giant king.
When her contact confirmed Salazar's words, she finally believed him. Her eyes held a cruel light as she told him one day that she would be attacking the wolf kings territories in a few days.
She expressed her thanks to him.
Seeing she was in a good mood, Salazar timidly asked if he could accompany her to the battlefield just to watch. Finding nothing wrong with that, she agreed.
'Hehehehe. Thank you. But three days from now , we'll see who'll get the last laugh.'
