Today was a really big hit to Yuki's ego because since the moment he left his apartment, he kept receiving all kinds of dirty looks wherever he went, and when he saw the similar reactions and weird looks the people in the park kept giving him. he was expecting at the very least that he would be eating his lunch in peace and be left alone …
But who would have thought that this peace will be broken and with a very beautiful girl no less that suddenly approached him and kept staring at him in silence, but he also received a quest when he finally decided to stop eating and confronted her about her weird behavior...
After all, the only thing he has in this world is his weirdness, and he can't let this girl take it away from him! but he was stumped when she innocently asked him "Doesn't it bother you?"
However, before he could reply to her and tell her how absurd her question is, a quest notification popped in front of his eyes...
[Quest: Confused heart]
[Quest Description: Even ghosts have their lucky days… You were approached by the famous English artist Mashiro Shiina and she has some doubts about her own art and become interested when she saw the strong contrast between the beautiful scenery in the park, and your ugly appearance…]
[Quest Task: Help this innocent girl that can't even tell the difference between a piece of art and a piece of shit clear her doubts. Time limit: 1 year]
[Quest Reward: Drawing talent + additional reward if the user over performs]
[Quest punishment: If the quest fails, host shall stay a virgin for the rest of his life]
The excitement in Yuki's eyes couldn't help but turn into anger as he looked at the hurtful comments that this clearly jealous bitch of a system added to the quest description and task to mess with him.
'Who are you calling a piece of shit? you shitty system that only knows how to grant me useless rewards, what I'm supposed to do with a drawing talent, draw my dick on you?' These were Yuki's angry thoughts, but inside he was actually excited at the thought of how this Drawing talent could actually change how he sucked at drawing, and maybe he could even make a career out of it! But most importantly, he wanted to check how this weird type of reward was going to manifest in him!
However, looking at the horrible punishment that was worse than death itself for a human being, he couldn't help but shiver at the thought of spending the rest of his life as a virgin 'I'm already cursed enough with this body, and yet you don't find it enough you disgusting system and want to completely seal my fate! Just wait, one day, one day I will pay you back a thousandfold for this disgrace!' Yuki thought while grinding his teeth…
Meanwhile, Mashiro kept observing the changes in Yuki's face curiously thinking it was the result of her question but then she noticed his face turned calm again…
'Wait, Mashiro Shiina? and an artist?… so that's why I'm fining this girl so familiar, she's from that anime huh? well now I understand why this quest has a long duration, it might really take a long time if I don't act carefully and any slip up might cause me to fail it directly tch… and what's going on? what the hell is this world? just how many characters and different anime does it contain?'
Feeling that she might start getting creeped out if he keeps staring at her through his dead eyes while drowning in his thoughts, Yuki observer the looks that the people were giving him which by this point started intensifying and got an idea about where her question was coming from so he pointed at the seat beside and said "First sit down"
Mashiro who's socially awkward didn't understand what difference it would make if she got her answer while standing or sitting but she decided to oblige him anyways because she was really curious and wanted an answer for how such a strong contrast could exist and yet the person in the middle of it didn't seem affected that much by it and had the appetite to enjoy his food…
As she sat down, she couldn't help but widen her eyes when she noticed the looks everyone was sending in their direction, worry, disgust, jealousy… All kinds of negative emotions were directed at the boy beside her and some were also starting to be sent at her direct which made her shocked! and then she heard a cold voice eerily repeating her previous question with an ominous tone...
"Does it bother you?" Yuki said as he took out another steamed bun and started enjoying it… as for why he asked Mashiro to sit beside him. Of course, it wasn't because he lacked company, but the best answer to her question he could think of was to simply let her experience it herself, plus this girl is quite troublesome to deal with as she doesn't have a good understanding of social boundaries and he doesn't want to be accused of anything unwanted as of yet…

While Mashiro was shocked by the new reality she was facing. Yuki couldn't help but start remembering the background of this awkward girl…
Mashiro is from England, and she grew up in a privileged family, and thanks to her talents as a painter, she was treated even more highly by people and was always protected and ended up spending all her focus on the pursuit of art since she was a little kid which left her deprived of a normal childhood…
This is why she was so awkward and unable to even take care of herself as she was used to maids helping her in her daily needs, and this created many troubles for her when she came to Japan on her own and ended up in the dormitory Sakurasou that was managed by her cousin who works as an art teacher in the same high school she transferred to.
However, her cousin was a careless woman who only wants to find someone to date as she was terrified by the realization that she was quickly growing in age and didn't want to end up spending the rest of her life on her own... So, she left all the responsibilities of taking care of Mashiro to a boy named Sarada Kanda who was 'troubled' by her and that's how her life went in Japan...
So, because of her beauty and background that made her always admired, she found facing these intense looks of disgust that were mostly directed at the ghost beside her was a completely new experience to her and caused her heart to ache, but she didn't know how to express her feelings and ended up saying
"This area hurts" While pointing at her left chest where her heart should be.
"Well, this means it bothers you then" Yuki seeing she tried to express herself replied to her with a warm smile that everyone looking considered the creepiest smile they have ever seen and would give many people nightmares just like a certain demon…
Mashiro seemed thoughtful a little and asked again "What about you? Does this area hurt?" Mashiro got closer to him and put her extended finger on his chest…
'Here we go, this girl really sucks at social interactions' for the first time since coming to this world, he was the one feeling a chill down his spine from all the glares full of hatred and jealousy the boys and girl kept sending him so he wanted to make this exchange brief before it gets him into some trouble he can't handle…
"Hmm, it doesn't hurt because I don't care" he replied to her as he finished off his second bun and started munching on the third quickly to leave this place…
Mashiro retracted her finger and tilted her head in wonder. After all, unlike Yuki, she was judged all her life through her work as a painter, so deep down she cared about what people thought about her, but this is also what made her hate her previous art.
Because she started painting what the people wanted to see instead of what she wanted… That's why she came here to Japan against the wishes of everyone around her, to try something she truly wanted... to draw a manga!
"You seem surprised" Yuki said as he noticed that she didn't know what to say and simply nodded when she heard me.
"Little girl, you want to understand people, but what you truly need to understand is yourself, so ask yourself why do you care?" Mashiro was surprised as she could almost see an ominous light in those green eyes that seemed to be looking at the deepest parts of her being!
"Why do I care?…" muttered Mashiro as she fell deep in thought because of the simple but hard question she was faced with, but someone suddenly approached us and with a relieved voice said
"Finally, I found you, you really know how to worry me" It was a fair-skinned woman that appeared to be in her late twenties, She had brown her and brown eyes, and she was wearing a red vest over a white shirt, a form-fitting purple skirt that cuts off just above the knee and brown nylons.
Yuki immediately recognized this woman as Chihiro Sengoku, Mashiro's cousin, and the manager of the dormitory that Mashiro lives in currently.
Mashiro looked at her cousin blankly which made her worried that something might have happened to her so she turned to see who was sitting beside her and she almost had a heart attack when she noticed the sunken eyes staring at her soul…
"M-M-Mashiro it's time to go" said Chihiro nervously, but Mashiro didn't even notice her nervousness as she simply replied "No"
Chihiro was surprised at Mashiro's refusal, so against all of her screaming instincts she handed Mashiro her ice cream and sat beside her while noting the fact that this clueless girl was sitting too close to this stranger…
Mashiro started licking her ice cream cone which brightened her expression a little and she kept staring at Yuki while doing so which made the misunderstanding around them keep growing more and more until Chihiro couldn't take it anymore and said
"Mashiro-chan, you shouldn't look at a G-Ghos---Guy while eating ice cream like that"
'Hey, did she really almost call me a ghost?' Yuki couldn't help but glare at this woman which made her shrink back fearfully but Masahiro didn't even care as she continued what she was doing and simply replied "Why?"
"Why because-…. Because…." Chihiro found herself stumped at how to answer this question which made Yuki chuckle a little at the hole she dug herself...
"Why are you laughing?" Mashiro asked curiously and without her realizing, her curiosity towards this unknown boy kept growing and growing...
"Oh, because I find this situation amusing. Think about it, I was eating my lunch happily, and then a beautiful girl suddenly approached me and started asking me weird questions, and then an old woman is added to the mix and she seems to find it hard to handle the little girl, it's really weird don't you think?"
Mashiro grew thoughtful when he told her about how unusual these events would be for a normal person, but Chihiro suddenly overcome her fear when she heard the comment he made about her age
"Little bastard who are you calling old!"
"Of course it's you, GRANDMA! so is this beautiful girl your GRANDDAUGHTER?"
Yuki replied to her mockingly while pointing at Mashiro and emphasizing her age even more which greatly annoyed Chihiro and they started bickering even harder which brought an unnoticeable smile to Mashiro's face...
But just as that beautiful smile adorned her usually expressionless face, three people with tattoos on various parts of their bodies and their hair dyed in various colors suddenly approached them and one of them said "Indeed, how could you call such a cutie old…"
