Resolve

"Huh..." Urokodaki turned and walked away from John, leaving him stunned. He was extremely shocked at the revelation Urokodaki had just dropped on him he had been watching him train all day for at least for the 3 hours yet spent training all by himself. The fact that he had just missed his one chance to impress Urokodaki and had failed so miserably at that, the realisation hit him like a ton of bricks. John almost kneeled over from shock.

But then he remembered, in the plot Urokodaki was always about affirming Tanjiro's beliefs, he emphasised multiple times that if Nezuko were to ever kill and eat a human, He, Tanjiro ang Giyu would all commit Seppuku {Suicide} after killing Nezuko. These guys were all about resolve. In the Demon Slayer world, if you didn't have resolve, then you were as good as dead. No wonder Urokodaki refused him straight out of the bat, he didn't even consider for an instant for he had seen through me, and all he saw was a weak willed swordsman who wanted to progress down the path of swordsmanship, Urokodaki thought he was doing me a favour cause he thought training me would be the same as leading me to an untimely death. John clenched his teeth, and then he stood up straight and ran after him.

John ran towards the Minka{Japanese rural style house}, he didn't stop until he saw Urokodaki's retreating figure. As he approached, he heard him say

"Oho, have come to assassinate me, Mr. Not an assassin." He said with a hint of teasing in his voice.

John took a deep breath and shouted

"UROKODAKI SENSEI, I WIIL NOT LEAVE UNTIL YOU TRAIN ME"

After shouting at the top of his lungs, John turned around and left with a bow.

Urokodaki was stunned, he had seriously tried to dissuade the boy" from taking the path of a demon Slayer and practicing the breathing techniques but he seemed adamant, the boy had just showed him his resolve so he was going to do the same. The child seemed to be proving stubborn, so he, as the elder, needed to be even more so. The audacity and the balls required to challenge him, the nerve of the young swordsman to challenge him in a clash of wills, Urokodaki smiled slightly and turned away.

"Virgil, is the job done." The figure asked.

"Yes, my liege." A voice from the blob of darkness.

"Good work, Virgil." The figure commented before the darkness evaporated into nothingness.

Those Nobel bastards could suck on it's non existent dick. The excavation would begin in the next two days. It wasn't going to be a rush job but completed with full efficiency and caution.

The figure closed its eyes in respite and elapsed into slumber.

"As expected of me..." But maybe, i should try something else." Although Urokodaki was introduced in the beginning of the show, it doesn't mean there weren't other places he could learn it, for example Inosuke Hashibira created his own breathing technique through constant training and intense observation. Although it might take some time, John didn't have time to waste, the Final selection was less than seven months away, and he wanted to be fully prepared. But if things dwindled on like this, it might turn out bad for him.

"Fuck it." John decided to go all in.

[You stood up swiftly and....]

[Immersive simulation activated. Giyu's Challenge]

John was prepared this time.

"Please let me prove my determination to you, just one chance is all i need." John pleaded with a voice full of resolve. Giyu Tomioka was still watching on the sidelines, staring at his sensei. Urokodaki was silent for a moment.

"Why do you choose this path?" He questioned

"I need to."

"That's not a reason."

"Well, it is to me."

"This path is fraught with danger, you might live for long."

"That's all right with me."

"You are so stubborn, why don’t you understand im doing this for your sake."

"I don't need you to do anything but teach me. Just one chance is all I'm asking for , I just need to prove myself to you."

"Since you want to prove yourself so badly....Giyu, take him on your mission, and make sure he sees how it all goes down."

With that said Urokodaki walked into his Minka leaving John and Giyu in an awkward silence. Without a moment of hesitation Giyu walked away leaving John behind, staring dumbfounded at his retreating figure until he realised that it was his cue to follow him. He hurriedly tried to catch up, with his increased Agility it was child's play for him.

Giyu Tomioka couldn't calm the restlessness in his heart at the sight of John, he reminded him a lot of his close friend Sabito, although they didn't look alike, their bullheadedness was the same motion, along with their stonewall like resolve. He had been impressed when he encountered the Kamado's and they had told him about how this young man had repelled the Demon chasing after their lives, although it infected the eldest daughter, Nezuko, but she still showed some traits of humanity and with the conviction of Tanjiro they decided to observe with a let's wait and see attitude. This young man had severely impressed his teacher, but he couldn't bring himself to endanger his life with the burden of becoming a walking dead due to the effects of practicing the breathing techniques and endangering their lives to slaying demons. The boy's level of stealth was truly impressive, as even he had to keep his perception open to the max before he could tell he was right behind him.

Giyu's mission this time was to travel to Mizunoe{Waterfield} Town, where a series of disturbances were occurring on a large scale such as disappearance of people, finding the remains or blood trails and so on, which led the Demon Slayer Corps to believe that this was the work of a Demon, not one, but two or more. That was why they sent an Hashira, instead of a regular member. Mizunoe was not actually far from Mt. Sagiri, that was why Giyu decided to stop by and check on Tanjiro.

Soon after walking for some time. They reached the gates of the town, passed the checkpoint, and then went to look for rooms in a boarding house.

Throughout the entire journey, Giyu had not spoken a single word, John couldn't bear it, this guy was too stoic for his own good. John took his mind off it, There was a demon or multiple demons in this town that required slaying. Perhaps due to his increased amount of PER stat, he could smell a huge amount of blood in certain places.

This was going to be intriguing indeed.
