The rooms Giyu booked were moderate at best, but they served their purpose, John got a good night's rest.
Early the next morning, during the wee hours of the morning before daybreak he went out to the field to train, on his way he smelled a faint scent, which was very familiar, Blood; he hurriedly followed the scent, he gradually increased his speed after he realised that the scent suddenly became overpowering, someone was being eaten.
The demons couldn't come out during the day, so they were mainly active at night, preying on innocent people, desperate to devour flesh and blood to sustain themselves.
John finally reached the location. It seemed to be near an abandoned temple, sickening sounds came from within the temple, the cracking of bones and the pounding of flesh. Sounds of maniacal laughter came from within giving off a sadistic vibe, John approached the entrance with his hand on the hilt of his Katana, he entered the temple through the main entrance, with a feeling of trepidation in his heart, during his first simulation he had the talent

According to his perception, there was only one demon and countless bodies.
He followed the path down the main hall, where there was a side alcove, where the sounds originated. Due to
John was repulsed, the entire room was stained and splattered with blood, in some places it had dried and solidified to become plaster upon the walls, in other places which still had fresh blood running down the wall to pool unto the floor, which contained even more blood.

The Demon had green hair and light yellow eyes, with a sully smile on its face. As it continued to chew down on another piece of flesh with a disgustingly happy and grotesque look in its eyes, tearing and slurping sounds bounced off the walls.
John walked out of the darkness, the Demon immediately raised it's head out of the pile of flesh and glanced his way, John didn't pull out his Katana yet due to his talent
"Kiri-yoko{Sideways cut}." John swiftly dashed out, unsheathing his katana in the process. The cut was so powerful that it tore through the Demon's though skin like a hot knife through butter. Unfortunately, he had aimed for the neck, but the Demon had dodged in time. The Demon snarled. Letting the blade slice a little into it's chest and entirely through it's arm.
"Come out!!!" It roared out in pain. "Come out, you little piece of shit,"
It seemed it couldn't sense him. John also noticed that the Demon was having trouble regenerating. He smiled, pleased at his weapon of choice.
[Oscillating Katana(D rank), this Katana is a masterpiece made up of a combination of mythril and advanced mechanical technology. Due to oscillatory nature, damage inflicted by the sword will not heal or regenerate normally, and excessive bleeding will occur.]
This particular information is what made it the deciding factor in this fight.
"I'm right here." John rushed out again, this time the Demon knew better that to confront him head on, the fact that his amputated arm hadn't regenerated meant that this rat he was facing was a Demon Slayer, meant that the Corps were after himself and his companions.
The Demon smirked despite its pain. It could easily deal with a Demon Slayer brat. It grinned and lashed out it's tongue in the general direction it heard the sound from, only to receive another strike but this time to the mid-section.
"Mon'uo{Full moon cut}." The slash tore through it's abdomen, completely slicing it in half. John rushed forward again to completely finish it off. He conjured a fireball and pushed it forward into it's open chest, his entire palm went into the Demon's chest cavity igniting it from within, the Demon's roar of pain reverberated through out the entire alcove as it got engulfed in a torrent of flames that spawned from within him. John breathed a sigh of relief. He almost sprawled on the ground from spasms of excitement, but then composed himself. He looked around.
Opening the system interface he bought a shovel, one by one he lifted the bodies and used it to build graves for all the victims of the Demon attack, each of them he buried as completely as possible, even going as far as to use his enhanced senses to find the missing body parts of the victims. He prayed for their souls in the afterlife and left the abandoned temple. By the time he left, it was already dawn, with the sun rising majestically over the horizon.
Giyu contemplated silently as he watched the boy leave. The fight had been totally one sided, he was prepared to step in at any time to provide aid, but he totally wasn't expecting this. The Demon stood no chance from the start. He was at least as strong as a Jōgen{upper moon} without any breathing techniques, and he was also compassionate. But what bothered him most was the fact that the blade had prevented the Demon's regeneration and the fact he had conjured a flame without the aid of a breathing method. Giyu turned his back and walked away from the site of the battle. He had taken care of the companions of the Demon from the offset. He had the left the last one as a test for the young swordsman.
John walked to the field on the outskirts of the town and began to practice his daily routine. Now, he could easily swing his sword 100,000 times without feeling a bit of fatigue. During the last of his sword swings, he heard a prompt.
[Immersive simulation ended]
[Swordsmanship(F rank) lvl4 has increased to lvl5. Commencing evolution...]
[Acquired...Swordsmanship(E rank) lvl1]
[Swordsmanship(E rank) provides an attack boost of 10% and speed boost of 5%]
John was mildly surprised when he returned to his original body. How did he fulfil the conditions for the immersion to end. He was puzzled about that fact. Perhaps that was the condition for success.
[You informed Giyu Tomioka of your findings, and he informed you that he had taken care of the other threats earlier today, you nodded complacent in your attitude for you felt whatever report he would give to Urokodaki could affect you tremendously. You prepared for your return journey back when a crow flew by and landed on Giyu's shoulder. Surprisingly, the crow was able to communicate. It relayed information that Giyu should report back to Demon Slayer Corps Headquarters. Giyu looked at you with his dead fish eyes and asked if you would like to come along. You responded Yes immediately as an opportunity to witness other breathing styles had just presented itself.]
[And so you started your journey towards the Ubuyashiki mansion, along the way you travelled, through forests, mountains, and various scenic scenaries. You travelled for 15 days straight, Giyu used a crow to relay the message to his Sensei, that John was on his way with him to the Corps Headquarters. Finally, you arrived at a certain mountain range shrouded in fog and dense mist.]
[Demon Slayer Corps Headquarters, here I come.]
