Step after step, I descended the mountain, though I tried descending the less steep areas. Y’know, climbing is sorta easier with four legs rather than just the two I had as a human, really convenient for this mountain life y‘know? Anyway, the ground is nowhere in sight, the more I look around, the more that the fact becomes apparent that I’m either high-high up the mountain, so that I’m basically inside a cloud, or that the fog around this mountain is so dense that it looks like actual clouds. Either way, I can’t see the ground, let alone the next place I’m going to touch down at… Wait, I can see a flat area, is that the ground? Hell yeah! I’ll just climb on down there and get some rest, maybe even some food.. Mmm- food sounds super good right now~ {Notice, Frostbite imminent} I was scared shitless by this.. Surprise voice, I lost my footing and well, I fell down to that flat area. As I fell, my scaly skin got covered in snow. Now, this was the kind of snow that liked to stick to you, super light and powdery, and super sticky. I hit the ground with a 'Ploomf', my body nearly buried in the white fluff.

I gave a small groan and tried to get up, my little body was.. Still holding up, but the lack of energy was really evident. As far as i know, I haven't had anything to eat in my entire life, and so my body didn’t really have the calories to burn on stuff that wasn’t getting me food, but god damn it, there’s nothing up here but me! I sigh and try my best to ignore the pain, instead trying to figure out why the hell there was a voice in my he- {Notice, *Minor frostbite has been gained, HP loss accelerated} THAT, What the hell is that?! I take a look around, only to see a black, transparent-ish pannel in front of me, which should have been obvious, but I was way too busy trying to make sure I wasn’t being hunted or anything like that. I read the black pannel, with its white text, grumbling a little as I noticed the frostbite. Frostbite? Wait, HP? What does that mean? {Reply, HP - Health points. How healthy you are in number form, if this value reaches zero, then you die}

I.. remember having heard of something like that before. Wait, what even are yo- {Notice, [Read] passive skill has upgraded to Lv2} Stop interrupting me, jerk! Ahem.. [Read] huh? I guess that answers my question, but what are these skills? {Notice, SP is dangerously low, continued usage of [Read] is not recommended} W-wait, Using it drains my… Sp? Well whatever the hell it is, I’m not gonna just let it run out like that, I gotta keep moving. I tried to step again, but I found it much harder than last time I tried walking, wait, did SP mean stamina or something? Aw, of course it does! I need to find somewhere to rest soon, but I’m so hungry that I don’t know if I’ll even wake up again. This is bad… I walk and walk, searching for what seemed like 30 minutes, but was more likely around 10 minutes. I was so tired at this point that I hadn’t even noticed the Blizzard around me until now.. A blizzard? Man, things are really getting bad. I can feel my eyes wanting to shut, I can’t feel my fingers or toes, it’s like I’m walking on stumps of meat at this point. From my paws to my knees are covered in a spotty purple color, which I’m assuming is that frostbite Read was talking about… I’m gonna die out here…

I was ready to die, I actually started to feel… warm? Almost all of my feeling went away, my eyes began to shut, until just my middle head was conscious, the other four were dragging behind in the snow. My vision was so blurry, but.. Something started to come into view… it was brown and.. Not a tree. I looked up at whatever it was, smelling the stench of flesh aside from the smell of snow and frost, it was.. an animal! It was clearly dead, but only recently, its body was still fresh and bloody, it’s belly and insides were torn out in what could only be described as a massacare. What seemed like hundreds of pawprints and disturbed snow surrouded the carcass, but it seems as though the blizzard has driven whatever took this thing down away. There was nothing else to do, the only thing that my mind went to was.. WARM. Without thought, I climbed inside of the fresh carcass, for the first time in my life, feeling warmth. I fit my entire body into the body of the huge deer, though it was more the size of a moose with just how large it was, and starting to regain feeling in my limbs. As I laid in there, my last few seconds of consciousness were spent taking small nibbles of the creature’s flesh and rubbing my body against it like a cat would as I remained inside of it, I was far too out of it right now to care for the taste or what might be getting on my skin. My last thoughts were.. Is this it? Am I done for? Before finally passing out from sheer exhaustion.

I gave a yawn and stretched out, well, as much as I could. My body felt good but.. Damn was I sore as hell. My legs ached something fierce, but at least they weren’t purple anymore. It seemed frostbite, wherever here is, isn’t as detrimental as it would be back in my original world. I looked at the carcass that I was in, giving a small groan as it was nasty to his human size, but delicious to the rest of him. He could see a small blinking light on the tip of his nose, a notification he must have gotten while sleeping. He selected the little dot and listened to what was being said
