Riding, riding, riding down the street at night in  Dad's car talking to friends on the passenger side and the backseat. Monroe side swipes a car when talking to Hakeem on the right side. They stop. It's a red light. A burgundy car pulls up to the Driver's side. Hakeem's talking to some out of town chicks. The drawl heavy and syrupy. Monroe leans over, putting his game to use. The operation's to get the number before the light turns green and they speed off teasing, yelling nice to meet you. Before, he can do that, the party in the burgundy car eases up next to Monroe. The driver reaches over the passenger side and shoves a finger against Monroe's face. Seated in the back, quiet, a shadowy, motionless figure. The girls start screaming and take off before the light hits green.

"Man", says a pissed off Hakeem.

"You cut us off, you don't know how to drive man?" asks The Driver.

Green. Monroe drives and shouts at the friends for not speaking.

"Dude in the back had something I know he did?" says Billy sitting in the back.

"I'm not letting that ride there cars right there. It's another red light. They stop. A car crashes behind them. The parties go forward after the impact.

"Ahhh", says The Driver.

Hakeem chest hits the dashboard because the seat belt was too loose.

"Don't move, is everybody alright?" asks Monroe

The EMT arrives. The Technicians put the men on stretchers. Theybare taken to the hospital. Monroe and Billy are OK. The Doctors want to perform an experimental surgery on Hakeem using a motorcycle engine and handlebars. During the surgery the Surgeon puts an engine inside the heart. The engine steers up the heart, that now goes 'VROOM VROOM'.

Monroe and Billy are in the waiting room, still recovering.

"You can bring motorcycles in here?" asks Monroe

"Sounds like it, it can't be", says Billy.

The Doctors give them pain killers and ask them to leave. They were told that, "Hakeem will be staying over night for observation."

"We have to get those guys back, that's word to everything I love", says Monroe.

Upon exiting the emergency room, Monroe grunts and complains about a sore back to Billy. They walk off into the night.

At the hospital with an IV insertion in a resting right hand, Hakeem is awakened by a nurse given him a tray of food. He sits up and winces. A large bandage covers the heart.

"Your friends left, you had to undergo surgery right away".

He touches the bandage and is about to remove it.

"Leave it, your fine," says the Nurse

"He's amused at the hospital attire he's wearing and wants to know where's his clothes. Hakeem looks under the bed.

"You never been to a hospital, your clothes are not under the bed".

When he's about to speak, the engine in the heart revs up. It's a light sound. Then, when he speaks an unrestrained 'VROOM, VROOM, VROOM happens . This is also, a light sound but it can reach mid range levels when he gets excited or angry.

The sound startles him. He jumps out of the bed cursing and the 'VROOM, VROOM starts up again. He beats on the wrapped chest to silence the sound. It's keeps going. And when snarls, motorcycle fumes come out the nose.

"What is this, I'm not even normal, VROOM, VROOM, VROOM."

Hakeem's tongue resting from anger starts to sound like the engine running when the motorcyclist take their foot off the gas at a stop sign.

"Where's the pedal?"

"Your lips" says The Nurse.
