Two

Before my eyes, a brilliant light flashes, revealing what must be the gates of heaven, indicating my undeniable death. The people around me seem so oblivious! Haven't they ever watched a single episode of a medical drama? Coughing up blood while having something on your chest is never a good sign. With resignation, I dash towards the radiant ball, accepting my unfortunate demise.

With a forceful impact, I collide with the ball. "Why did you run into me like that?" the ball exclaims.

"Wait, are you God?!" I question. Suddenly, the ball transforms into a glowing human figure, slightly taller than me.

"I am the Creator of Gods, the overseer of all religious deities. Your God, as well as others, were created by me. They serve as mere representatives while I watch over and ensure everything is in order. I could directly oversee them, but I prefer to remain whole," the figure explains. I've never been a religious person, but it's disheartening to think that we worship what essentially amounts to a desk job.

"What about my Grandmother? Will she be okay without me? And what about the man who killed me? What will happen to him?" I inquire anxiously.

"Do not worry about your Grandmother; she will be fine. I orchestrated a meeting between her and a wealthy man who has fallen in love with her through a slight twist of fate. And as for the murderer, he will be apprehended three days later after attempting to harm another person. Specifically, a police officer," the Creator assures me. Relief washes over me upon hearing this news. Although I feel a pang of sympathy for Grandpa, Grandma always said he was a terrible person.

"Thank you, Creator. May I ask why you have shown me such generosity?" I inquire.

"I knew you were an intelligent young soul," the Creator replies. "Usually, your God would handle your soul and decide its fate. However, I have intervened and taken your soul for a specific purpose," the figure explains.

"And what purpose is that?" I respond, intrigued.

"I require your assistance in another world that I have created," the Creator reveals.

"What exactly have you done?" I ask, my curiosity piqued.

"It is impolite to assume I have done something. If anything, it is what I haven't done. The worlds I created were flourishing until the Godly War broke out. Some gods turned against me and sparked a rebellion. Although I emerged victorious, the intent remains. The gods who fought against me considered those who fought with me as traitors. This mindset led to countless wars between worlds. Toddanata, in particular, remains a world engulfed in conflict. I left that world with a group of gods who govern different realms, much like the Greek gods in your world. The gods who opposed me continued to wage a war that the other side does not desire. There is much more for you to discover, but you must go to that world to learn. Save my allies and bring peace to the peaceful. I implore you," the Creator pleads earnestly.

Overwhelmed by his words, I take a step back to contemplate my choices. I could simply reject this and embrace the afterlife or fight for this new world. Suddenly, the Creator's words catch my attention. "You will have parents!" I snap my head back towards him, astounded.

"Parents?!" I question, hope filling my voice.

"Yes, parents who will love you unconditionally. Their sole purpose will be to find happiness in being a family with you. I won't even need to exert divine will to make them love you. Their love will come naturally," the Creator assures me. My parents died when I was very

young, to the extent that I can't even recall their faces. Oh, how I yearn for such love.

"I will do it," I reply resolutely.

"Thank you," the Creator responds. In an instant, a stream of yellow light encircles me, transforming me into a compacted, spear-like form resembling the Creator. The figure's hand embraces me before blowing me away, and as I drift off, the world slowly fades to black.
