"It seems the primordials have important news for me." Elaine thought to herself as she stood at the familiar dark plane of existence known as the dream realm, walking towards the familiar bright light in the horizon suddenly her vision is filled with the usual warm light of her deity cover the dark plane. Dropping down on one knee in reverence to her deity she is met by the six primordial beings before her, massive in size and their stature awe inspiring.
"Your grace, I have been wondering. Why did you ask for me to save that man? He had slaughtered life in Cymbal with no remorse for the animals." Elaine asked her deity, wanting to know the reason.
"Child, this question is best answered by Nag'losh." Nyalith simply answered while looking over to the majestic looking silver wolf.
"Chosen of Nyalith, do you remember your mission we gave you?" Nag'losh asked.
"Of course great wolf, to find the other chosen people and unite them, but why are you suddenly asking?" Confused Elaine asked the deities.
"And you have finally found the first chosen champion of us, Nag'losh has chosen the man named William Tíriel Marlow as his chosen, similar to you he has a mark on his body symbolizing his connection to us." Nyalith explained with her usual calm tone.
Shocked and confused by her master's words Elaine looked over towards the other deities, seeing if they are telling the truth, waiting for several moments with no further reaction from them she understood they were telling the truth.
"But you told me I would sense a connection of sorts when I was close to another chosen? I have been close to him for hours and no sense of connection has come from him." Elaine was even more confused by her masters words.
"It seems his mark has been activated, the young wolf pup you rescued before has moved towards the man and formed a connection of sorts, through my connection with all wolves of the world I can sense their bond." Nag'losh explained.
"But that doesn't explain why he slaughtered the wolves, wouldn't your champion be a defender of wolves, not executioner?" Elaine asked.
"The silver wolf leading the pack was an offspring of my lineage, it could sense the mark and was threatened, thinking its position of leader would be taken away, thus disobeying my orders and attacked him. Thankfully one of my kin survived thanks to you." Nag'losh continued to explain, dropping its head in gratitude towards Elaine.
"My child, chosen champion of the white stag, your mission has now begun. Go out. Find the others, and save the sacred forests from further ruin."Nyalith voice boomed with great power as Elaine's mind was thrusted through the dream and she woke up, seeing her familiar home she slammed her hand into her table in irritation.
"Why do they always end the meeting when I have more questions?" She asked herself as she looked over towards the sleeping body of Will, walking over and touching his forehead she could feel the fever was gone. Looking over his body for the mark she instead sees the sleeping form of the wolf pup, gently sleeping beside his right arm. A smile formed on Elaine's lips as she gently caressed its shiny fur.

While waiting for Will to wake up she instead brought out one of the teeth of Hyrix, inspecting it she tried cutting a branch laying scattered in her room she was surprised by the sharpness, easily cutting through the wood. Thinking for a moment she grabbed her knife and began to with trained hands change the blade, before the tooth of a wild boar. Testing the balance and fitting of the knife she was pleased by her handiwork and placed it into her harness on her hip.
Suddenly Will's voice was heard screaming and his eyes shot open, a nightmare had awoken him. In the dream a large silver wolf had appeared before him and talked to him about weird stuff, such as saving the world. His thoughts were interrupted by the sight of Elaine, shocked he searched for his blade but instead found the young wolf pup gently sleeping beside him, confusing him even more.
"It seems you are awake, William Tíriel Marlow." Elaine spoke as she grabbed one of the chairs from the kitchen and placed it near the bed.
"How do you know my name? Where am I? Who are you even?" Will asked.
"You are in my home, and shouldn't I hear a thank you from you? I saved your life. and my name is Elaine Nyve." Elaine explained while pointing at the bandages covering his upper body. Looking down at his torso he could see bandages covering his shoulder and chest. Embarrassed by threatening his savior he deeply bowed in respect and thanked her for saving his life.
"I have some questions for you, and I assume you have some for me." Elaine continued to speak, hearing her Will agreed and waited for her to ask first.
"Do you know anything about beings called the primordial beings?" Elaine asked first.
Thinking to himself for a moment, he couldn't remember hearing the term and asked Elaine to tell him about them.
"They are six deities of nature, Pristeryx the crimson phoenix, Nishala the golden lion, Arragolac the black spider, Harak'nul the violet hydra, Nyalith the white stag, my deity. And lastly Nag'losh, the silver wolf, and your patron deity." Explaining the six deities Will's memories suddenly remembered his nightmare and stories from his youth about a majestic and large silver wolf defending the north from their enemies.
"Nag'losh, I know that name, its the name of a deity from my homeland, you mean to tell me a deity contacted me in my sleep?" Will asked, not fully believing a deity would contact him.
"You see this mark, do you have a similar glowing mark on your body?" Elaine asked while pointing to the pair of antlers on her forehead.
Hearing her question Will began to check his body, not seeing anything he turned his upper body, flinching in pain he tried to look on his back. Elaine was surprised upon seeing a marking on his left shoulder blade.
"There, you actually have one, they said the truth!" Elaine's surprised reaction was caught by Will, lifting his left arm slowly and turning his head fully he could see the outer edge of a strange glowing mark on his back, a set of three claw marks glowing a soft silver light.
"And this is?" Will asked calmly.
"It is proof you have been chosen as the champion of Nag'losh, similar to mine." Elaine explained as she pointed to her forehead. "I am the chosen champion of Nyalith, the white stag."
"I don't fully understand, but Nag'losh is an important name in the north. I guess its a lot to take in, suddenly becoming a champion of a god." Will said.
"By the way, the wolf pup beside you is related to Nag'losh, and has been chosen as your companion." Pointing at the sleeping pup Elaine explained.
Looking down he saw the sleeping form of the small wolf, gently lifting it up he asked where it came from. Elaine explained that the pup is an offspring of the silver wolf Will slew before. Suddenly before Will could react the wolf awoke and bit down on his thumb, drawing blood and placing its head on the dropping blood. Surprised by the actions of the wolf suddenly his mind was invaded by the young pups thoughts.
"Brother, you are alive!" The wolf shouted into Will's mind.
"Huh? What do you mean brother?" Will unconsciously asked, not reacting to speaking with a wolf as weird anymore since todays event.
"You are my brother, you have the same aura as the great wolf in the sky." The pup explained while yawning, still tired. Before Will could comment the pup laid down in his lap, soundly asleep.
"Ehm, Elaine." Will spoke.
"Yes William?" Elaine answered, amused by the pups actions.
"Will is just fine, my full name is just for formality." Will commented. "Have you ever talked to an animal?" He asked.
"Of course, I'm a druid. I have talked to animals since I was five." Elaine explained while snickering. Hearing her explain he sighed in acceptance of the weird shenanigans.
Looking towards Will and the young wolf in his lap Elaine was intrigued by him, his untold backstory and usual calmness in dangerous and serious situations.
"So who are you really, Will Marlow." Elaine asked.
