Waking up to the sound of thunder and the tent shaking, Ekia couldn’t help but worry that the tent might blow away with him in it even if there was a bunch of stuff inside. Feeling hungry Ekia grabbed one of the stuffed toys before he began to carefully make his way to the entrance. Reaching the food box Ekia began to go through it, avoiding the ones that he had already tried. Grabbing one that had an image of a tasty hamburger Ekia hoped that it would taste good, for the drink he grabbed one that appeared to be water. Carrying the items Ekia quickly rushed back to the room where he felt slightly more safe since the room was full of stuff and wasn’t getting shaked as much. Sitting against the end of the bed, Ekia opened the bottle and smelt it, there wasn’t really a smell. Taking a sip, Ekia forced himself to swallow, it tasted extremely disgusting. Carefully opening the bag Ekia hoped that it would be better. Taking a chip, Ekia took a small bite and was glad that it was mostly plain with little flavor. Grabbing a handful, Ekia began to scuff them down until he felt full before dusting his hands off. Heading to the chest Ekia began going through it before grabbing a book to look through until the weather gets better.
Climbing onto the bed, Ekia covered himself in the comfortable blankets before opening the book. It was like the other book but with a description at the bottom. Flipping through the pages Ekia was glad that there were images that looked like things from his previous world like apples. There were also a square symbol on a few of the pages making Ekia wonder if it meant these were dangerous to touch or eat. Feeling the bed more roughly to the side, Ekia fell onto his side. Grabbing tightly onto the bed Ekia hid himself beneath the blankets before grabbing one of the toys, he closed his eyes with no choice but to ride out the storm. Steadily breathing Ekia tried to think of happy memories from his previous life but he drew a blank. For some reason he couldn’t remember his childhood or his parents’ faces, if he was a single child or had siblings. Deciding that it wasn’t helpful, Ekia tried to think about something else. Feeling the bed move again, Ekia found himself landing roughly onto the ground before passing out with a crash. Coming to Ekia felt something warm and wet on his forehead, touching it Ekia winched in pain before seeing that it was blood. Trying to pull himself up, he couldn’t move as he was stuck beneath his bed. Taking a deep breath, he winced as his chest hurted. Turning his legs so that he could move them slightly, Ekia began to slowly pull himself forwards inch by inch. Finally pulling himself out from beneath the bed Ekia was able to breathe freely. ‘I hope the tent isn’t going to suddenly more roughly again’ Ekia thought before feeling the bed move again. Quickly crawling away Ekia stopped to look at the scene, it appeared that the tent had flipped over and things were lying everywhere. Pulling himself unsteadily to his feet, it felt like he might have sprained one of his ankles. Making his way to the exit, he tripped a few times over the door flaps as it was difficult to climb over them. Reaching the entranceway Ekia stopped to grab a bag and fill it with some of the chips and drinks in case he needed them later.
Reaching for the zipper Ekia realized that the zipper was now at the top of the tent instead of the bottom. Jumping a few times to reach it, he failed. Deciding that his only chance was to cut the side of the tent, Ekia began to search through the mess before finding a somewhat blunt knife. Heading back to the tent flap Ekia pushed his bodyweight against it before the knife went through, feeling relieved he began to agonizingly slowly cut an exit. As he cut Ekia struggled to maintain his balance as the tent continued to shake, he finally made a large enough gap to crawl through. Peeking through the gap, everything was dark and cold, the wind blowing his hair into his face. Deciding that it might not be safe to go out till there was some light, Ekia decided to grab a few blankets and pillows to use near the entrance in case the weather becomes much worse. Managing to grab them Ekia settled near the entrance flap before falling into a restless, troubled sleep. Waking up to something hitting him, it took Ekia a moment to remember that the tent was moving. Noticing that there was no rain hitting on the tent, Ekia slowly got up before looking around. It seemed that the tent had flipped back over and now he could use the door’s zipper. Unzipping the door Ekia looked out to see that it was now daylight and it seemed that he wasn’t near the town anymore. Grabbing the bag and the knife Ekia walked out and looked around, there was only dirt and shrubs as far as he could see. ‘How far could the wind have blown me, which way should I go?’ Ekia thought as he began walking around the tent to see how much damage there was. Some parts of the tent had poles sticking out of it and tears in other parts. There were also some marks on the ground which might have been from the bed being dragged. Suddenly the smell of rotten eggs hit his nose. Ekia gagged before noticing that the tent had oddly begun to dissolve. Rushing back to the entrance Ekia went inside hoping to grab some of the books and a thick cloth since they might assist him. Tripping over stuff as he ran, Ekia managed to grab two books and a thick coat before rushing out as the smell got stronger and parts of the tent were dissolving around him.

Falling once he was out again, Ekia gathered the stuff up before turning around as the tent fully collapsed onto itself. Placing the books into the bag Ekia began to slowly follow the markings on the ground, he couldn’t help but wonder how long it would take as his ankle was still sore and he couldn’t move fast. As Ekia continued to move, the sun was bearing down on him, making his throat feel dry. Covering himself with the coat Ekia hoped that he could find some shelter to rest under till the heat died down a bit, it felt like he wasn’t making any headway. Dropping to his knees Ekia pulled out a drink that looked like it would be orange juice, taking a sip it caused him to gag. It tasted worse than the other drinks he had and made him feel like vomiting. Picking up the bottle so that it didn’t fully empty Ekia tightly put the lid on before putting it back into the bag. Looking at the other drink, it was covered in a black cover making Ekia feel uneasy about drinking it. Struggling back to his feet Ekia began to move again, he wanted to find the town and the others before he would have to have the drinks and food if he could stomach them. Wiping the sweat off his forehead, he felt the crusted blood before wiping his hand on his top. Looking in front of him, it appeared that there were waves and the sun appeared to be lowering. ‘This might be heat exhaustion’ Ekia thought as he licked his crack lips. Finding it harder to breathe and the world appearing to start spinning slightly he began to feel like giving up. Noticing a light in front of him Ekia felt hope that it might be the town and the others would be waiting there for him. Quickening his pace Ekia tried to avoid falling since he wasn’t sure if he could get back up. As the town started to come into view, it looked much older and damaged, most likely from the storm. Distracted from the sight Ekia tripped over, landing roughly onto the ground as dust flew around him. Struggling to sit up, Ekia tried to wipe the tears away from his eyes only for them to start hurting. Forcing himself back to his feet, his arms and legs ached. Taking another step Ekia fell over again as his ankle began to hurt so much more. Being unable to move, Ekia began to cry, the tears feeling cold against his dirty cheeks. Sitting there as the sun began to dip behind the horizon and the town was slowly gulfed into darkness, he knew that if he didn’t move his chances of surviving the night were slim.
“Just one more push and I’ll be fine!” Ekia muttered to himself repeatedly, trying to build up his confidence and determination.
The thought of being stuck in the open in the night and being unable to see anything terrified Ekia enough to pull himself onto his feet. Focusing on the ground , Ekia watched as his shadow grew ahead of him before darkness slowly began to erase it. As the darkness began to engulf him Ekia soon wasn’t able to see his feet causing him to trip and land roughly onto his hands and knees. Taking a few heavy breaths Ekia tried to pull himself back up only for his body to shake before he found himself lying face first on the dirt, blacking out.
