"Hah!"
Johannes swung his mace at the humanoid monster, and with the 'Thud' its head caved in and died.
Cling~!
Suddenly, the monster's body disappeared into the smoke and 1 copper coin appear in the place that the monster died.
"This is super inefficiency..." sighed Johannes.
He picked up 1 copper coin and put it in his pocket. Monster in this world dropped copper coin? No, it's Johannes's new Modifier.
[ Name: Johannes Vermillion, Sex: Male, Age:20,
Modifier: 1. Invisible—Normal creatures can't perceive you. 2. Translator—All languages are being translated. 3. Appraisal—The real values of goods will reflect in your eyes. 4. Money Hoarder—Monsters that died by individual 'Johannes Vermillion' will drop currency. ]
Modifier 'Money Hoarder' used 1 gold coins, it's cheap but at the same time expensive.
Normally, when the monster died they'll be a cloud of smoke and disappear, in the rare cases they'll leave behind the monster parts that called the monster drop.
But when Johannes defeated them, it'll leave behind a coin of copper. This is better than killing normally, but at the same time not.
"If I know this, I'd create a Modifier about fighting..."
Just after Johannes starts diving dungeon, he found the first monster of this dungeon. It's called Arundel, a humanoid monster with small limbs and bloated belly, their head's small with eyes nearly popped out of their socket.
They used a small dagger to attack the adventurer. They're small but not nimble, so their advantage is in their number.
Usually, Johannes would found them in a group of 4 or 5.
At first, Johannes used 'Invisible' to have the element of surprise, but as expected, his 'Invisible' is seen through by them. Well, they're not normal creatures after all.
After trying his best to kill a group of 4, they leave 4 copper coins and the injury on Johannes's body. Johannes could kill them easily but when the number is increasing, his risk is also greater so it's not that weird to have an injury.
"Now I only have the last gold..."
Johannes looks at his last gold and thinks if it's a good choice to make the last Modifier.
'I can't upgrade my 'Invisible' with only 1 gold coin. combat-related Modifiers is also more than 1 gold coin.'

'Wait...what if I add restriction so that the cost will be reduced?'
Johannes writes another Modifier in his Attribute Board.
[ This Modifier would use 1 gold coin, are you sure you want to apply this modifier? Y/N ]
'As expected!'
Johannes pressed Yes and his new Modifier appeared.
[ Name: Johannes Vermillion, Sex: Male, Age:20,
Modifier: 1. Invisible—Normal creatures can't perceive you. 2. Translator—All languages are being translated. 3. Appraisal—The real values of goods will reflect in your eyes. 4. Money Hoarder—Monsters that died near individual 'Johannes Vermillion' will drop currency. 5. Wave—Every 10th attack will result in splash damage. ]
Johannes swung his mace 9 times before start searching for a group of Arundel. He found a group of 5 when Johannes found them, they could see Johannes at the same time, so they are charging at him.
'Wave'
Johannes swung his mace when they're near him.
At first, it seems like Johannes swung at the air but a second later, their body started to cave in like there're special forces damaging them.
"Guhak~!"
It cries in agony after having their intestines crushed. After a few seconds, they disappeared into thin air and dropped 5 copper coins.
"Yes!" Johannes yelled in delight.
The battle lasted only a few seconds to a minute, and his reward is 4~5 copper coins per battle. If Johannes continues hunting for an hour then his income would be 240~300 copper coins or 24~ 30 silver coins/hour.
In one day or 24 hours, he could get as much as 576~720 silver coins. That's an enormous amount of money!
'And with the increase of money, I could get a more powerful Modifier and the money that I could make will also increase!'
"Then my first goal would be 20 gold coins," said Johannes
***
"Hey, have you heard about the Slayer?" asked someone in full armor.
"Ah, that rookie that has monstrous strength and endurance right?"
"I heard that that guy already hit the 10th floor after the second day of starting as an adventurer."
"What?! I heard that he hit the 20th floor in one day before!"
"That's absurd. There's no way someone could hit the 10th floor on the second day, and the 20th floor is literally impossible." said the bearded adventurer while gulping the beer.
"You've never seen the Slayer before, so you could say that...I've seen him in the labyrinth before and...I don't really want to remember about it."
"Monsters are dying left and right when Slayer walks, Boss monsters are singlehandedly defeated by only a single person. An enormous strength equal to giant, unimaginable stamina runs through his veins like thousand of bulls, his name spread far and wide as the Slayer." sang the bard.
"Who is the Slayer?"
"Where is the Slayer come from?"
"How could he be that strong?"
Then the Mediterranean half-waist door was pushed open. Every eye is focused on the new person that came in, hoping that he is the rumor Slayer. Unfortunately, the person that came in is the young girl in her prime wearing luxurious clothes.
'Ah. Another noble girl that wants to be an adventurer.'
That's the thought of everyone in the guild, and starting pay no heed to the newcomer. She walks toward the receptionist.
"How can I help you, lady?" asked the female receptionist.
"...The Slayer"
"Huh?"
"I want to meet the Slayer," said the noble lady.
"..."
Every sound in Adventurer's guild disappeared. For fear of her words.
Everyone that heard about the Slayer would talk about him in horror. Bard sang an ode about the Slayer in fear of him. The normal civilian also listen to his glory as a witness of his massacre.
Fear.
Everyone who has met the Slayer before would say unabashedly that they fear him. A primal, unbearable fear that consumes all of their beings.
But in front of them is a young girl, too naive, too innocent, a greenhorn about the world, said that she wants to meet the Slayer.
Trembled. They trembled under intense fear, but no, it's not because of the words from the noble girl's mouth.
"I want to sell Ogre's heart"
For the Slayer has already appeared.
