"Don't worry dear, you'll be just fine." I smiled at the 9 year old girl while drawing her blood.
I didn't even have a single minute of rest after my introductions were done in the morning. I would like to socialize with the staff but I guess I have to wait till the lunch break for that.
"So, new boy, did you like your first day?" Mrs. Robins, our receptionist asked me between small bites of her food.
"I am very sure the boy is exhausted. He kept on running from ward to ward the whole morning." Mrs. Dean, a senior nurse spoke on my behalf.
"Not at all, I love this work." My mouth was full when I spoke and that maybe the reason my companions started laughing.
The rest of the day again went in a flash.
I am not a great cook but I have an injured person at home to feed so on my way back I decided to grab a few groceries.
Whole day I haven't got a call from Rebecca and I am sure that is because she knew I would be busy on my first day.
My happy mood turned worried when a thought struck me. What if Rebecca went home and saw the other girl there. I am not very sure I can make her understand the situation if she already makes up her mind.
I walked home faster and opened the lock of my door and turning on the light I witnessed yet another horrifying sight.

The stranger girl lied on the couch and writhed in pain. The stitch on her stomach was gone and the blood flowing from there made a puddle on the floor. A part on her forehead was cut open and she had fresh bruises on her cheeks and face.
"Did a bear got inside the house when I wasn't here? Jesus, what the hell were you doing?"
I know I might have sounded rude but this is unbelievable. I ran inside to get my first aid kit thinking in my head if I should take her to the hospital.
She had already lost a lot of blood and I am really surprised at the way she has not yet fainted. She is tough, I'll give her that.
I made her change her position to half leaning, supporting the couch and removed her hand trying to take off my grey hoodie that is now fully drenched in blood.
My fingers accidentally grazed over her black bra strap to which she flinched immediately but the pain from her cut made her groan.
I tried to keep my eyes away from her plump breasts covered by the black material but that was really hard.
"Stitch." She pointed something at me while she spoke.
When my eyes fell on her hand holding the knife towards me, I dropped the hoodie and backed away for my dear life.
"Hey, I am sorry okay. I'll come to you and stitch your wound, just stitch okay. Don't kill me!"
In a few seconds she lowered her knife and I got back to her. I kept my head down and focused only on her cuts.
I was doing this today while she was awake but she never uttered a sound of pain. Does she not feel it or does she not trust me to show her weak side?
After her abdomen I moved towards her forehead and face. I was exceptionally close to her and could feel her breath fall softly on me.
She smelled like rose and I felt my heart beating faster every passing second. I was slowly leaning towards her, drawn by her mesmerizing dark brown eyes while my hand moved towards her long, black curls alongside her cheek.
I knew I was going to regret this moment later but the sudden gasp after the bursting open of the main door with my fuming girlfriend standing there glaring at us made me regret it instantly.
