Mona
First I ran, when I couldn't anymore because of the immense pain I felt in my lower abdomen, I walked and my pace gradually got slower. The blood dripped from my body and my sight became darker with each passing step.
It was not very late but I can tell it's about to snow soon. I looked around trying to drag my body and keeping my eyes open.
Without giving a second thought I opened the gate to my left and enter the yard. I rang the doorbell and stood there like an idiot, waiting for someone to open.
It happened almost instantly though. A guy with a stupid grin opened the door. His smile faltered soon when he saw me.
It will be troublesome if he shouted and created any kind of scene, so I tried to reach to my knife in the holster of my waist but the pain that shot through my body when I removed pressure from my stomach was too much for me and without any warning my body gave up and my eyes snapped close while everything around me turned black.

I blinked my eyes open to the most serious pair of brown eyes I have ever seen. His lips were pouted and he held a ball of cotton while he looked at me or more like searched me, my face.
I tried moving my hand and get up but to no avail. I felt dizzy. "Don't even try to get up. I have given you some anesthesia and that's going to keep you down for some time."
Not only my body, I felt that I couldn't even move my lips to talk. I kept lying there uncomfortably as he continued his work.
"There... you are all patched up now," he spoke about after 20 minutes as he packed up his first aid kit and got up from my side.
I grazed my hand over my stomach and felt a bandage sticking on it.
"You don't have to worry about that, I have stitched it up."
I gave him an unbelieving look. "Trust me. I do have a medical degree. Tomorrow will be the first day I start working as a nurse in the city hospital."
A proud smile spreads on his face and he looked even more idiotic.
