Legendary Magical Cloak (1)

Legendary Magical Cloak (1)

Inside a floor of an elf's huge building,

Various 20 feet tall, 30 feet tall, 2 feet all sci-fi style structures could be seems. All of them seemed to be broken due to an malfunction but they were also facing upwards towards sky.

All of these structures seems to be placed in a circle formation. There was also a separate table in sci-fi style enclosed in a hemispheric protection covering that was see through. There also seemed to be many screens on the table.

Asnor, who had teleported himself inside the hemispheric protection covering to observe the screen had a very disappointed expression on his face.

"The entire software has been malfunctioned. I kind of regret spreading a plague that won't even leave alone software technologies. I am sorry for being so weak to release such terrifying plague without a way to counter it myself. But I had no choice. This place is just too dull to be waiting like this for some uncertain benefit that I could have gotten."

Asnor then glanced ahead at what seemed like damaged structures.

"These stuff must have been damaged long ago. A very very long time ago. These devices must have been utilized for something so magnificent considering the kind of damage it has received."

Asnor then teleported himself outside of hemispheric protection covering and appeared in front of a 30 feet tall damaged structure. Asnor touched the structure and closed his eyes.

'Magnificent! This was just one of the many tools used to manipulate the... planet. For real?! If that's the case... DAMN IT!'

Asnor opened his eyes and spun around 180 degree.

"I need to know more! Honestly, why do I keep finding stuff that would normally turn the current world order upside down? I am just so unlucky."

Asnor seemed like he was venting on himself.

"NO! I am not unlucky! It's a good thing that I got my hands on such good knowledge that would probably help me a lot in staying alive in future. No, not just me, but my family too. Should I tell mom about everything I had found? Maybe, maybe not."

Asnor walked around inside the circle formation which contained multiple damaged advanced structure or devices.

"For now, I won't. It's just too annoying having to explain everything. I will explain it when I get stronger. It will probably reduce the amount of explaining I would have to do. That's right, not now. It will be time consuming in trying to make mother believe in everything I was going to talk about."

Asnor sighed just thinking about everything he would have to do after leaving dead land.

Asnor teleported himself inside what seemed to be a very advanced sci-fi style lab.

Asnor looked around and started to walk hoping that he would figure out something from this lab.

'Hmm? A very seemingly important book? Maybe.', Asnor saw a book besides some seemingly research device on a table used for scientific purposes

Asnor picked up the book and turned the pages slowly.

This content has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.

'What the hell is this book about? The language seems to look like rubbish language. Damn it!'

Asnor couldn't understand anything written in the book. So, Asnor just put down the book on the table.

'From what I can understand, it seems that all these devices had a goal regarding magic reaction with surroundings. At least that's how the devices has been built. From the devices I had seen before, I can see a similarity. Interesting.'

Asnor then teleported himself to a nearby small scale library room that had the size of two ordinary dining rooms.

'It seems that this library room seems to have been used for scientific researches. Or else why would such a small library room be right next to the lab room?'

Asnor looked around the library room for books. Asnor took out a book named . He then sat down on a chair right besides a table placed inside the library room.

'Spiritual Magic is unlike any ordinary magic, it's the kind of magic that lets you interact with the planet itself. There is a chance that the Planet Earth operates by means of spiritual magic. If that's the case, then spiritual magic might be the key to solving the current crisis our planet is undergoing.'

Asnor turned the pages of book to another page.

'There are fairies that uses spiritual magic. They can't use any other magic, only spiritual magic. If spiritual magic is the key to saving planet earth, then fairies could be the final piece of puzzle to solve the current crisis.'

Asnor turned to another page.

'Not many people knows this fact but spiritual magic can be literally used anywhere in the planet as long as it ain't a dead area. That also makes spiritual magic very dangerous. Luckily from what I heard from a fairy I had met once, spiritual magic can only be utilized by fairies.'

'There can be an exception into making someone other than fairies to be able to use magic with the help of fairies. But until now, no one had been helped in such a manner by fairies. The reason as to why that's the case is a mystery to me since the fairy I got this information from was very young and she didn't know the answer due to her age.'

"Interesting... Spiritual magic, hah! Why do I feel like my chaos magic is the straight opposite of spiritual magic? Normally I shouldn't be so arrogant of the kind of magic I utilize. But considering everything that has happened today, it's not wrong to assume such a ridiculous theory."

Asnor then looked around to read more books.

Few days later,

Asnor was thinking deeply by closing his own eyes and having his crossed legs placed on the table.

"Hmm... So, spiritual magic is the key I guess. That's what I understood by reading all these books. But the most urgent question currently is whether anyone else has survived by means of spiritual magic. I can't help but think that the spirits still exists. If that's the case, then the people that got the opportunity to utilize spiritual magic with the help of fairies would also probably survive."

"Honestly, all of this is an assumption but I got no choice but to consider it. Currently, what I am most curious about is regarding the identity of the elf who had died. Considering everything I have witnessed, this elf was definitely unordinary. If the old library hadn't been destroyed, I may have known the answer."

"It doesn't matter. Past is past. I must learn from mistakes. I am still a kid after all. What I must do next is to find the device that will help me counter whatever has been limiting my sensory powers."

Asnor's eyes was blazing with a shade of blue black.

"I will find you!"

Asnor then tried to sense the most magical weapon he had sensed in the beginning when he had first infiltrated the building. In fact, Asnor would have preferred to go look around for this device first before trying to go figure about this spiritual magic but there was a reason as to why he didn't so.

Asnor then teleported himself into a room that had a cube shaped box placed in the center of room.

The cube was a magical device but it hasn't been malfunctioned yet.

'I can't sense anything inside. I only know that there is a very powerful magical device inside by means of chaos magic sensory power, that is, flaw sensing power.'

'Even after every miraculous things I have done these recent months, I can't believe I was blocked again like this.'

Asnor glared at the cube shaped box.

----------------------------------------

Dark mist that originated from the elf body's explosion has now enveloped the cube shaped box.

'It seems the box can defend itself against dark mist. But I am not surprised at all at this news.'

"BUT I WAS JUST DESPERATED!!!"

Asnor can't find any way to break the box that has been magically enhanced a bit too much.

'This box can probably even withstand that explosion! It will be weakened but it's an undeniable fact that it can withstand that explosion while being right next to the elf body. At least, that's what my flaw sensory power is telling me.'

Asnor then started to experiment with his chaos magic to see if there is any way to break the magically enhanced cube even though he had zero expectations himself.

Asnor closed his eyes and he could then sense the inner structure of the cube by means of his chaos magic because dead magic was present inside the cube.

'Honestly speaking, I currently don't need dead magic to sense whatever is inside the cube. Dead magic just makes it easier for me, that's all there is to it. Now let me see what's inside the cube once again.'

'There is ring... It seems like one of those fictional space rings even though I don't know it's limit when it comes to storage. Finally, a cloak. I have this good feeling that this cloak could be a counter to anything that can suppress my powers.'

Asnor couldn't find what's so special about the cloak as if his powers won't be able to help him in understanding the cloak which in fact is the case.

Asnor realized that he could only experiment in trying to utilize the cloak by creating a spark of his chaos magic by means of dead magic interaction.

'I wouldn't have been able to utilize chaos magic if not for dead magic. I guess, it will take a while to be completely proficient in chaos magic.'

----------------------------------------

Few hours later, Asnor could be seen laid on the ground with his hands and legs stretched.

'I hate researching without having a clue. I wonder how all those researchers won't get bored despite doing such boring things as part of their job. I still have no clue how to utilize the cloak. It might be protected just like this cube and the ring against my magic. If that's the case, then all of this might just be a waste of time.'
