Scene 1 :

“What did you just say Yuno?” Bolta says. Yuno sighs and says again “We have to steal a police radio…From a police station.” “Okay okay I need you to actually take a minute and think about what you just said Yuno.” Says Bolta. Before Yuno could respond Bolta says “First of all kid, how are you going to get into a police station where you have access to the radios. Second, and let me say this so you can actually hear me. WHAT SUPERHERO STEALS FROM A POLICE STATION.” “Well…to answer those questions…my dad works at a police-“ Yuno responds as he’s cut off by Bolta who yells “YOUR GOING TO STEAL FROM YOUR FATHER?” “WELL YOU SAID TO FOLLOW YOUR LEAD AND IF I'M NOT MISTAKEN YOU SAID THE GAMES THE GAME AND IN TIMES LIKE THIS WE DO WHAT WE CAN.” Yuno yells back. Yuno looks to Bolta waiting for a response. Yuno then says “Well are you gonna say anything?” Bolta sighs and says “Well kid when you're right you're right.” They both sigh once again as they realize what needs to be done. Yuno goes to sleep. Yuno wakes up, gets out of bed and stretches. He opens his curtains and the first thing he sees is his dads car. He sighs and he mutters to himself. “Sorry dad” as he holds the note from last night in his hand. “Yuno?” Bolta calls. “Hmm.” Yuno responds. “You alright there kid?” Asks Bolta. Yuno reads the note out loud to Bolta. “I feel so guilty for doing this but at the same time I know it has to be done.” Says Yuno. “I know kid I get what you mean but maybe someday he’ll be able to understand.” As Yuno starts to walk out, Bolta tells Him to stop. Yuno stops and looks at Bolta and Bolta asks “Last night Yuno…You mentioned last night the station we’re going to raid is the one your dads working at…” “Mhm” Yuno says. “I assume you have some type of plan.” Bolta adds. “Well while I'm showering I’m going to try and find an excuse for my dad to carry me to the station today.” Yuno says. Bolta sighs and says “So what I’m hearing is that you're just going to wing it.” Yuno smiles and nods. Yuno heads into the shower and Bolta says to himself “Just when I think that kid can hatch a full solid well laid plan he decides to wing it halfway through.” Yuno finishes his shower and busts through the door and says “BOLTA I GOT THE PERFECT EXCUSE.” “Well let’s hear it.” Says Bolta. Yuno stays quiet to try and build up the reveal. “So what’s this excuse?” Asks Bolta. “Well here it is…” says Yuno. “Well c'mon don’t leave me in suspense, what is it ?” Bolta asks. “So do you remember that guy we fought?” Yuno says. “Mhmmm.” Bolta responds. “Well, my dad asked me if I had any info on the guy or any info. At first I said no but today I could tell him I do have info on the guy cause I think he’s still in holding. Maybe because he’s injured or something. Nonetheless it’s the most solid plan I could think of.” Says Yuno. “Uhm kid don’t you remember you ripped his arm to shreds…” Bolta says. “Oh yeah your right.” Yuno says while laughing. “That was pretty badass of me.” Yuno adds. “You really are an idiot but anyways kid, that plan is not half bad.” Says Bolta. “Yeah and if the guy is there we could ask him how I was in the fight!” Yuno says with a smile. Bolta sighs and says “Just when I think you’ve done something smart you prove me wrong.”

Scene 2 :

Yuno heads downstairs. Breakfast is being prepared by his mom and his sister is in front of the living room mirror as always checking her hair. Yuno looks for his father but doesn’t see him. Yuno rushes to his mom and says “MOM MOM…” His mom looks at him as the bacon sizzles in the pan and says “Honey it’s too early for you to be this energetic. What is it?” “WHERE'S DAD?” Yuno says as he eyes the bacon. “Also that bacon looks nice and so do the eggs and toast.” Yuno adds as he looks down the table. “Dads in the bathroom. He’s getting his suit on and you know he hates doing that.” Yuno’s sister says as she continues to fix her hair. Yuno quickly grabs a plate. “Honey, wait here’s some extra bacon.” Yuno’s mom says as she loads some more bacon onto his plate. Yuno sits down at the table and starts shoving food into his mouth. His moms eyes and his sister's eyes focus on him as he practically scarfs down his whole plate. His mom laughs. “Uhm Yuno there’s something called water and self control you should try it.”Yuno’s sister says. Yuno looks up from his plate and sees his mom and sister staring at him and he says with a mouth full of food “ Dad and I have a big day ahead of us.” They both look confused as his dad walks into the kitchen and says “Didn’t know we had something planned today Yun.” “OH DAD DAD YOUR HERE.” Yuno says as he runs to his dad. “LISTEN DAD I NEED TO ASK YOU SOMETHING.” Yuno adds. “What is it son?” Yuno’s dad says. “CAN I…” Yuno stops to swallow the remainder of his food. He drinks some water as his parents chuckle and his sister looks at him like he’s an idiot. “Can I come with you to the station today dad?” Yuno asks. “Of course, son, just be ready in about ten minutes.” His father replies. Yuno’s dad sits down to start eating breakfast and Yuno rushes upstairs. He trips on the stairs and ends up face first in the hallway. Yuno’s sister and father laugh as Yuno’s mom yells “Yuno you need to be more careful.” His dad chuckles and his sister says “what a knucklehead.” His sister thinks to herself that it’s particularly odd for Yuno to want to go to the station. She knows that Yuno in all his life has never been to the station voluntarily. He's been scared of the station since the incident. “Hey dad.” His sister calls out to his dad as he’s eating his food. He looks at her. “Why do you think Yuno wants to go to the station?” I mean he’s been scared of that place since the incident happened.” His sister asks. Yuno’s mom turns off the stove and sighs as she says “He beats himself up so much every time you get a promotion that happens in the station. He wants to go to celebrate you but whenever he tries he ends up not going.” “Listen girls, I understand what happened to Yuno was very very tragic and I never wanted it to happen as well but maybe it’s for the best that we don't question it. I’ve never pushed him to go back there and I do hear the pain in his voice whenever he talks about going back or just anything to do with the station. But maybe now he’s changed.” Yuno’s father says. “I hope he’s ok. A lot of the time Yuno just seems like he pushes that memory back.” Yuno’s sister says. “Are you sure he should go honey?” Yuno’s mom asks Yuno’s father. “We’ve never pushed him to go back and he’s never asked in a happy manner so I think he’ll be ok. And if anything I’ll be right there with him.” Yuno’s door slams and he barrels down the stairs with his bag in hand. “DAD IM READY.” Yuno says as he runs to put his shoes on. His dad chuckles and says “Alright alright son I’ll be right behind you.” Yuno gets his shoes on and waves goodbye to his mom and sister as he gets into his dads car. His dad kisses his mom and hugs his sister as he exits the house. As Yuno’s dad gets into the car Yuno says “Wow dad this car is amazing.” “Yup yup yup son the detectives get the big boy cars.” Yuno’s dad responds. They both laugh as they drive to the police station. Back in the house Yuno’s mom is cleaning the kitchen. Yuno’s sister was watching Yuno and his dad leave. As she walks away from the window Yuno’s sister turns to Yuno’s mom and asks “Mom, you think Yuno’s gonna be ok today?” “Well honestly honey I don’t know. He was only seven when it happened. Sometimes I wonder if as he's grown up he just forgot it’s happened to him.” Yuno’s mom says. She goes to Yuno's sister and hugs her and says “Listen baby if anything happens to Yuno you know your father will be the first one there to help.” “I know mom I know.” Yuno’s sister says. She walks away but she stops and she says “When was the last time Yuno ever talked about it?” “I don’t think he’s ever truly talked about it. After it happened he just stayed quiet for months but as time went on he met Taya and eventually Alistair and then finally Yuuchi he got more open. Not to mention all the nights you two spent staying up in your rooms as you guys grew up.” Yuno’s mom says. “We’re a year apart mom which makes it easy for me and Yuno to understand each other but when it comes to this it feels like we might as well be decades apart because Yuno’s so hard to read when it comes to this.” His sister says. “I know honey I know but we should be happy that he’s not distant or flying off the handle because of it. Many people after things like that happen to them they’re never the same but in Yuno’s case he began to be the boy we knew again. He was silent and distant for months but after time had passed he was back to normal. So we just need to have hope in him, Bianca.” Yuno’s mom says to his sister. His sister says “Yeah mom you're right.” She grabs a rag and helps her mom clean up.

Scene 3 :

Yuno and his father arrive at the station. “So son what is it you actually came here for? If you don’t mind me asking, that is.” Yuno’s father asks. “Well dad, you remember that guy from the alleyway.” Yuno’s dad nods. “Well I have more info on that guy.” Yuno says. “Son if you had info you could’ve told me I could’ve relayed the info to the boys in there.” Yuno’s dad says. “Yeah dad I know but I have to face this place sooner or later. The incident happened when I was seven. I'm seventeen now and I need to be brave dad.” Says Yuno. “I get it son I get it but listen if you need anything or feel anything at all I’m here for you take all the time you need.” Yuno’s father says. “I know dad thank you and I’m glad you mom and Bianca are understanding of me.” Yuno says. “Well I’m going to go in and you know where the office is.” Yuno’s dad says. They get out of the car. “Oh wait.” Yuno’s dad says. Yuno turns to him. “The officer for that room isn’t here yet and he’s not going to be here for another hour so you could either come in and find a place to sit or you could visit somewhere around the station.” Yuno’s dad says. “Well I’ll use the bathroom and buy a drink at the gas station up the road and I’ll come wait around in one of the rooms.” Yuno says. “Ok son be safe.” Yuno’s dad says. Yuno’s dad goes inside the station as Yuno heads to the station. “Hey Bolta, I have a plan.” Yuno says. “What’s the plan kid?” Bolta says. “Well…” Yuno says as he pushes the door open and the door chimes rings in the gas station. “The bathroom window has a good view of the front door of the police station.” Yuno says. “Mhm” Bolta responds. “Well when someone is about to enter the police station we could be outside and be ready to dash.” Yuno says. “Like super speed dash in there?” Asks Bolta. “Yup.” Yuno responds. “Shouldn’t we just walk in? Or maybe are you just looking for more training?” “Your wrong on both accounts, Bolta. What I plan is to dash and just go straight cause if I do that I’ll end up by the stairwell that leads to the basement. From there we can search for a radio. And then hopefully we can do all of it within an hour.” Says Yuno. “Smart plan there kid.” Says Bolta. “I have little favor to ask of you though Bolta.” Says Yuno. “Sure what is it kid?” Bolta asks. “When I dash in there is there a way to produce enough electricity to short circuit the cameras for a period of time?” Yuno asks. “Yeah kid as you run I can up the sparks and electricity. However, it’ll only be for little spurts because your clothes or your body itself might be harmed which would blow your cover.” Bolta says. “Got it.” Yuno says. Yuno purchases his drink and waits by the gas station for someone to enter. A few minutes pass and all of a sudden a car pulls into the yard. “Get ready Bolta.” Yuno says to Bolta. Yuno waits for the guy to exit the car. “Kid while we wait you sure do seem to know your way around this place.” Bolta says. “Well yeah my dad works here.” Yuno responds. “But I overheard that you don’t visit often.” Bolta says. Yuno sighs. “Do you mind me asking what happened?” Bolta says. Yuno doesn’t respond. “I’m guessing it has something to do with the incident everyone kept talking about this morning.” Bolta says. Yuno places Bolta on the floor and sits across from him. “I’ll tell you the story of what happened. It seems like we might have to wait for this guy.” Yuno says. Yuno sighs and continues saying “When I was seven I visited my dads police station. Back then he had just been a regular beat cop doing patrols and stuff of that nature. All of a sudden he got promoted to assistant detective. It was much different from the leave detective he is today. Today he calls the shots but back then he was the one following orders. Nonetheless the jump from beat cop to assistant detective was impressive and called for celebration. My mom had grabbed my sister and I and we headed for the station. My mother along with the rest of the guys in the station threw him a surprise party. Some time goes on and everything is going well and good. Dad is having a good time and so is everyone else. All of a sudden seven year old me is trying to find my mom after I had gone to go use the bathroom. I asked one of the officers nearby if they knew where my mom and dad were. The officer told me he’d go look for them. All of a sudden another officer pops out from the corner. Back then I had thought he knew all along but now that I’m all grown I know now that he was spying on the conversation. He told me that he knew where they were. He took me by the hand and he led me to this room. At first I was surprised because it was empty but then he told me that the adults would be filing into the room anytime now. As a kid I had no reason to doubt him. A few minutes went by and I asked him when they were coming. He said that he’d go to check. He had left the room and about five minutes had gone by. I opened the door to go check what happened to him. I wish I had never opened that door.” Yuno says as a tear runs down his face. “What happened Yuno?” Asks Bolta. “The second I opened the door I felt a giant stick in the side of my head. He had hit me with his nightstick. It was so hard that I actually got knocked out. And by the time I woke up my pants were off and I was on the floor in the holding cell. It took about an hour for my parents to find me. I didn’t cry, I didn't scream, I just felt numb. I didn’t speak for months but my family and the friends I made along the way helped me get my grip on reality again.” Yuno explained. “Oh wow…Yuno I’m so sorry. Listen, we don't need the radio, we could find another way.” Bolta says. “It’s alright Bolta, I'm a better man now.” Yuno says as he gets up and wipes the tear off of his face. “I’m…no we’re superheroes now and it’s time for us to save people.” Yuno says. The man exits his car and he’s about to enter the station. “So Bolta you ready to break into the police station?” Asks Yuno. Bolta laughs and says “Sure kid, let's do it.”

Scene 4 :

Yuno unsheathes Bolta and gets in position to dash. The door opens and just as the chimes in the door rings ZOOM. Yuno speeds into the station. To other people seconds pass and all it feels like is a strong wind going by however to Yuno with every step he takes there’s sparks and little bits of lightning short circuiting the cameras. He lands in the basement and he takes a deep breath. He looks around and whispers to Bolta “we’re in.” “What now kid?” Bolta asks. “Well we have an hour we need to search the basement and then the ground floor and then finally the upstairs. If we’re lucky we can do this in under an hour and it’ll be on this floor.” Yuno says. Yuno looks around and all he can remember is what happened in this place. He takes a deep breath and says to himself “You're a hero Yuno you can do this.” As he takes a step Bolta asks “Why don’t we super speed?” “Because everything will go flying and it’ll be obvious we’re tampering down here so we need to be slow, steady and careful. But also be quick.” Says Yuno. Yuno and Bolta search the basement and 2o minutes go by. They don’t find any police radios or anything that could be of use to them. “Let’s do the ground floor last since that’s the floor I have to be on to meet the officer.” Says Yuno. “We’re going to need to amp up the speed a little.” Yuno adds. “Got it kid.” Bolta responds. Yuno gets up the stairwell of the basement leading to the ground floor. He locates the door leading to the stairs for the upstairs floor. “You ready?” Bolta asks. Yuno nods. They zoom upstairs. A wind gushes behind them. “Hmmm weird winds today huh. A window open ?” “No I don’t think so, maybe it’s the vents you never know.” Two officers say to one another. Yuno and Bolta search upstairs and once again they find nothing. 10 minutes go by. As he’s searching he hears “Hey Norioshi where’s that son of yours I thought he was here?” Yuno gasps. “BOLTA!” Yuno whispers loudly to Bolta. ZOOM. Yuno is zoomed to the waiting area. The door opens and the officer sees Yuno and he asks “Did you just get here?” Yuno shakes his head no. Yuno’s dad walks in, sees Yuno and looks at the officer and says “Maybe you're still dreaming.” Both men walk out. ZOOM. Yuno and Bolta once again zoom from room to room trying to find something. They found a walkie talkie that officers use. It didn’t look like it belonged to anyone. Yuno lowered the volume and put it in his bag. “Well we can use this on the go and to tell when dad or other officers are on the way but we need a radio because that’s the thing that tells you where the crimes are right away. There’s a 10 minute delay from when the crime is reported on the walkie talkie versus when it’s immediately reported on the radios. But it’s nowhere in this situation.” Yuno says. “There’s only one other place I think they could be.” Bolta says. “Hmm where?” Yuno asks. “Look out the window.” Bolta says. Yuno sighs as he sees what was out the window. “Let me guess we’re going to take it from a car?” Yuno asks. “Yup and they’ll just replace it when they see it’s missing and honestly we don’t have any other way.” Bolta responds. Yuno sighs. ZOOM. They’re outside all of a sudden. Yuno opens the car door. “Where’d you get the keys from?” Bolta asks. “Oh well you zoomed right in the walkway of where the keys were. And since the models are the same, one key works on all.” Yuno says. “How convenient.” Bolta responds. Yuno almost unscrews the radio by using Boltas blade but just then he’s zoomed to the backseat under the clutter in the backseat. “What the hell was that for?” Yuno asks. “Shhh you’ll hear.” Bolta says. The doors open. Two beat cops are about to go do their rounds. Yuno looks at his watch knowing he can’t afford for two to happen. Only ten minutes are left. The car drives off and three minutes pass. “Any plans Bolta?” Yuno asks. “None right now.” Bolta says. “OH I know something.” Yuno says. “What is it?” Bolta asks. “Just follow my lead.”Yuno says. He starts rustling on the back seat. The two cops stop and look to the back. They go to touch the clutter when all of a sudden it shocks them. They go to touch it again but this time it shocks them more.

They stop their car and exit the car. Both go to the back but just as they open the door Yuno zooms out. As he’s zooming out he rips one of the doors off. He takes the door covering himself with it facing the cops. They draw their guns. “You ready Bolta?” Yuno asks, “Let’s do it kid.” Bolta says. Bolta drops the door and zooms. Bolta slows time as Yuno gets by the car. Yuno took out two screws before the cops entered the car. He unscrews another screw. He zooms back and picks up the door to face the cops again. Time resumes. They start shooting but again he drops the door and he zooms to the car. Time slows. The door is falling and the cops are shooting. Yuno unscrews the last screw. The radio is out. Yuno takes the radio and zooms back to the station. Yuno’s plan of distracting and unscrewing worked. He’s happy but no time for celebration. He gets back to the station with just 1 minute to spare. He puts the radio in his bag. Mission accomplished.

Scene 5 :

The officer had arrived to see Yuno and they discussed what had happened. Three hours had passed and all paperwork had been processed. Yuno told him about the woman and how he was trying to save her. The officer took all the info down and Yuno headed back to his dads car. His dad only had about thirty minutes left in his shift as Yuno was getting hungry. Using this power sure takes a lot out of someone Yuno thought to himself. He called his dad and asked him if he could get a snack by the gas station. His dad said yes and Yuno started walking to the gas station. He felt so weak with every step he took. He finally got to the gas station and got all the snacks he could. He went back to the car and started eating. “Good job today Yuno.” Bolta says. “Nah nah that was all you.” Yuno responds. “Teamwork.” Bolta says. Yuno smiles. “So how did it feel?” Bolta asks. “Well it was nervous you know the search for the stuff but eventually we got it so I’d say it was thrilling.” Yuno says. “No you fool. How was it being in there after so long…after what happened?” Bolta says. “Oh…” Yuno says as he stops eating and looks on the floor. “You don’t have to answer Yuno.” Bolta says. “No it’s ok Bolta. To answer your question it was a bit scary at first but then I remembered all the people I could be saving with the radio and stopping all the people like him.” Yuno says. “You’ve grown quite a bit Yuno , your mentality is one to follow.” Yuno and Bolta share a laugh. Yuno’s dad arrives in the car. He looks flustered. “What’s the matter dad?” Yuno asks. “Well son it seems two of our beat cops had their radios stolen. We checked the camera and they’re just shooting their door so we have to investigate. Oh my look how rude I’ve become. How was your day, son ? You alright ?” Yuno’s dad responds. “Yeah dad I’m ok. It’s really unfortunate for those cops. Maybe it was just misplaced or something happened to it.” Yuno says. Yunos' dad laughs. Yuno’s dad drives home.
