Everyone in the Midnight pack watched in horror as the news played on every TV. The Gamma and Beta ran through the pack house to the Alpha’s office. As they got there, the Alpha was on his knees crying and screaming as if someone was stabbing him with a silver dagger. The Beta ran to his side as the Gamma yelled for the pack doctor. All the Alpha could say was “she is gone” as his vision became blurry. Right when the pack’s doctor got the Alpha’s office the Alpha was passed out in his Beta’s arms.
“What happened?” the doctor kneeled down and began digging through his bag. The Alpha started to breathe rapidly.
“His mate belonged to the pack that was just slaughtered” the Beta looked down at his best friend “the bond is being broken” Another scream rang through the room. The doctor grabbed a needle and syringe from his bag and started to eject pain medicine into the Alpha’s arm. The Alpha became limp in the beta’s arm as his breathing became steady.
“All we can do now is pray to the moon goddess that he will be okay” The doctor began to pack up and leave but before he left he made one last comment “And that he gets a second chance mate” The Beta just sat there with his best friend’s head in his lap. The door shut and all that could be heard was the news.
“There were no survivors within the Blue Moon pack” All that was going through the Beta and Gamma’s mind was that they had just lost their future Luna and possibly their Alpha.

Everything was quiet and dark. A little girl with silky long black hair struggled to open her eyes. She rubbed the palms of her hands over her eyes in hopes that will help her open them. As soon as she did all she saw was trees around her. She couldn’t remember how or when she ended up there. She rolled over onto her stomach and with much struggle raised to her feet. She began to walk around in hopes she would find someone that could help her understand how she got here. After what seemed like endless hours of walking around she stumbled upon a cave with a flickering light coming out of it. She entered the cave and slid down the side of the wall exhausted from her journey. Footsteps could be heard but when she looked around she couldn’t see anyone. The footsteps abruptly stopped.
“Who are you little girl?” When the girl looked to her right there was suddenly a woman with long silver hair right next to her causing her to jump back a little bit. The girl went to answer the woman but she struggled with trying to figure out her name. In a small whimper the girl replied “I don’t know. I can’t remember anything.” The woman crossed her arms over her chest and looked the girl up and down. “Very well then follow” She began walking further into the cave. The girl wasn’t sure if she should follow or not. The lady turned around when she noticed the girl wasn’t following and sighed. “I guess since you won’t follow I have no other choice” The lady began to speak in an unknown language and rays of light swarmed the girl. She tried to run but her legs felt like they were frozen to the ground. Her voice was failing her as well. Once the lady stopped speaking the rays of light became blinding causing the girl to cover her eyes. After a few minutes of silence, the girl uncovered her eyes and found herself alone again surrounded by trees. She fell to her knees and tears slipped from her eyes. She hung her head and slammed her fist on the ground when she noticed she was wearing a necklace with the letters KJ on them. She took the necklaces in her hands and studied the necklace. “I guess my name must be KJ but where did I come from?”
