Author's note II

Thanks for reading to the end of part 2, and a wholehearted Thank you to everyone who has followed, favorited, commented, and/or rated.

I am sincerely grateful. Without the pressure of an audience, I'd never have the motivation to write so often and seriously!

Now, I want to talk very briefly about what I've learned.

My 'style' isn't working. Except, I think it's not style, but skill.

Thanks to Jia's review, I was able to pick up on using too many long sentences. But even making this improvement I can feel something isn't clicking with many people. Hell, it doesn't click with me. I read through my chapters and think, 'Wow. This is shit.'

I think I need to limit the number of parallel plots and flashbacks as well. That being said, it's just so much fun writing about all these different characters who are all connected in some way, and it is great writing practice.

That's why I believe the problem, again, lies in my skill.

Either way, knowing there's a problem is the first step. And while these problems don't seem to be something I can improve too drastically or too soon, this is my first story after all. I'm just getting started. ┗(`・ω・´)┛

I have a bunch of ideas planned for the future. I also have other books I want to write. I admit I thought about slowing the release of this story to work on something else, but doing so doesn't feel fair to followers of 11's story.

So, for now, I will focus on finishing this book and hopefully improve enough that by the end of this tale, I can begin another one that more people will enjoy.

That does it for this Ted-Talk.

Thank you all so much for your reading time and interest. I will continue doing my best to tell the most entertaining story I can, and so I welcome any and all feedback, even if you just want to walk about coffee.

See you all in part 3!
