Shuxue quickly got up from the fetal position he had assumed. As he grabbed the change of pants Zhujiao handed over, he began laughing.
“You did it, my boy Zhujiao! That’s not a red X, that’s a green O! We’re not going to die! We’re not-”
“Shut the fuck up!” The Sphinx was hopping up and down in anger, sending tremors through the staircase. “What the fuck is going on here?” The Sphinx continued raging, but made no move to kill the two.
“All right, Sphinx! I have no time to listen to your sob stories. Let us through.” Shuxue said, his ever-present sneer back on his face.
“Nope.” The Sphinx said, laying down in front of the staircase. “You need to have broken past the Limit to enter this floor. Otherwise, you’ll definitely die. Well, actually, now that I think about that, you motherfuckers can enter.”
Shuxue’s eyes widened as he listened.
“The Limit!” He exhaled a huge breath. “The great barrier between Algebra and Calculus, the divide that separates two great realms of mathematics!”
“Yep.” The Sphinx sniffed. “You fuckers can come back later, if no Calculus stage casuals haven’t conquered the rest of this tomb by then. Heh.”
Shuxue’s eyes narrowed. If Zhujiao didn’t have an interspatial forehead, then he would have just dug himself into a huge hole! Previously, nobody had been able to conquer the Linear Algebra floor of the tomb. Yet, Shuxue had, unlocking the fourth floor as a result. It was likely that if the tomb remained here, it would quickly be conquered by a Calculus stage expert, preventing Shuxue from reaping the rewards of the tomb.
“Heheh, lucky I have an interspatial forehead right here.” Shuxue snickered to himself.
“We can go inside, right?” Zhujiao asked the Sphinx.
“Yeah, I don’t give a fuck what you do.” The Sphinx yawned, going up the staircase and stepping aside.
“Big bro Shuxue! Let’s go inside!” Zhujiao yelled excitedly.
SLAP!
“Didn’t you hear what the hell that tiger chicken harlot said?” Shuxue hissed. “If we enter, we’ll die! Only people who have broken through the Limit can possibly survive the next floor!”
“No problem!” Zhujiao yelled. “We can wing it!”
“The Laws damn you, Zhujiao.” Shuxue wiped his face. “The only way to break through the Limit is by pressing a Limit jade slip to your forehead and gaining enlightenment. I can’t just wing it like I did the last floor.”
The Sphinx guffawed. “Yeah, the Limit is a completely new way of thinking! It’s not about numbers, it’s about number behaviors! Breaking the limit requires either a Limit jade slip or an insight. Since you guys are dumbasses, you can’t possibly get an insight into the Limit.”
Zhujiao was puzzled. “Sphinx sis, you know what limits are, right?”
“Of course I do!” The Sphinx grew annoyed. “Who the fuck do you think I am?”
“Why don’t you teach big bro Shuxue how to break the limit!”
Shuxue’s eyes bugged. “Zhujiao, you’re a damn retard! The only ways to learn math are through sudden insights from observing nature or mathematical techniques and by pressing a jade slip to your forehead! You can’t teach math! That’s just impossible!”
“What!” Zhujiao shouted. “Why not?”
“Just think about how ridiculous the world would be if you could teach math!” Shuxue exclaimed. “It would only take one person to discover a new form of mathematics, and then everyone could then learn it from him! Anyone would be able to become a Calculus stage expert if they wanted to! I shudder just from thinking about what kind of clusterfuck this Tesseract would be!”
Shuxue shuddered for half a minute before continuing. “Jade slips crack after a set amount of forehead presses. Otherwise, everyone would just be sharing jade slips and nobody would ever fight with each other because they would all be learning math! Clearly, you can see people fighting, so clearly it’s impossible to teach math.”
“Oh.” Zhujiao began to nod slowly. “That makes sense. What’s the prize for beating this limit floor, big sis Sphinx?”
“Limit jade slips.” The Sphinx drawled.
Zhujiao looked like his head was about to explode. “I don’t… I don’t get it!”
“Good lord, what can you possibly not be getting, Zhujiao.” Shuxue rubbed the sweat off his forehead.
“You have to learn the Limit before completing this floor! But your prize for finishing this floor are jade slips that teaches the Limit! That makes no sense!” Zhujiao yelled.
“Zhujiao, your questions are just getting stupider and stupider.” Shuxue sighed. “Why would it be any other way? Are you saying the prize for beating the Linear Algebra floor would be a Limit jade slip? Just think about how ridiculous that sounds! Why would conquering the Linear Algebra floor possibly give me some jade slip other than Linear Algebra jade slips? That’s what makes no sense!”

“Yeah, yeah, you two can fuck off now.” The Sphinx snorted. “I feel like my intelligence is decreasing just by being near the both of you.”
Zhujiao was about to open his mouth, but Shuxue shook his head. “Let’s go kick out the people currently trespassing on our property, Zhujiao.”
“All right!” Zhujiao shouted. The monsters no longer harassed them, so they descended down two staircases to the second floor in no time at all.
“Oh, hey Zhujiao!” A female pearl farmer greeted him. “Where’s Daoli?”
“Fuck off!” Zhujiao shouted, amplifying his voice so that the entire second floor heard him. “This is my property! You guys need to get out!”
A man with spiky blue hair walked up, a frown on his face. “Hold up, Zhujiao. What’s goi-”
BOOM! A quadratics dragon slammed into the man, reducing him to meat patty.
“This is my warning to all trespassing thieves.” Shuxue lifted both arms up, sneering. “You all have 10 seconds to vacate the premises!”
Screaming, the huge group began running for the exit. After 10 seconds, he began shooting out more quadratics dragons.
“Hahaha!” Shuxue began laughing. “With my understanding of linear algebra, my attacks are now multidimensional!” An arithmetic dragon launched from his hands and disappeared into nowhere. “Only, it’s completely useless. Maybe if I can get the attack to return to this dimension…” Shuxue pondered the implications for a moment before returning to his massacre.
“All right, big bro Shuxue! Everyone’s gone, even the harem members!” Zhujiao smiled cheerily. They teleported outside the tomb. Zhujiao smashed his forehead into the tomb walls, and the entire place instantly disappeared into his interspatial forehead.
“Well, looks like time to teleport back home, Zhujiao.” Shuxue licked his lips as he thought about the Linear Algebra slips he had put in Zhujiao’s forehead.
“Wait a moment, big bro.” Zhujiao sounded sick. A dark hand shot out of his forehead, clawing the air. Shuxue backed up, his eyes bugging. “What the fuck!”
The long-haired head of a pale-faced man dressed in all black grew out of Zhujiao’s forehead. With a push, the man extracted himself from the fore head and tumbled onto the floor as Zhujiao spewed vomit everywhere.
Shuxue stared at him, his face pale. What the hell was this?
“What in the motherfucking blazes was that!” The man shouted with a deep, guttural voice. “I was just sitting in my motherfucking chair, doing absolutely nothing, and all of a sudden I’m in, in, in your forehead, you little shit kid!”
Shuxue’s mouth dropped. “Are you the Sphinx?”
“Fuck yeah!” The man shouted. “Who else do you think I am?”
Zhujiao looked up, a little dribble of vomit trickling down his cheek. “But you’re an ugly man!”
“What the fuck! You little shit, who do you think you’re talking to? I may be a motherfucking Nascent Spirit lion with bird wings and a woman’s head, but in my heart I’m a man!” Fire shot out of the Sphinx’s eyes as he glared at Zhujiao.
“But you’re not a man!” Zhujiao looked boggled out of his mind again.
“Check your privilege, you filthy shitlord! There’s a mind-body disconnect between who I am and who I am. I was born into the wrong body, you hear me?” The Sphinx sniffed. “But I do shift into this form whenever I can. Sometimes, I wonder about the poor souls who can’t shapeshift into whatever they know they are.”
“...” Shuxue shrugged. “Okay, but we’re taking this tomb with us.”
The Sphinx eyed Shuxue, then snickered. “I don’t give a fuck, but I’m a Nascent Spirit, so I’m tied to the tomb.”
“Cool, big bro sis thing Sphinx!” Zhujiao shouted. They instantly teleported outside the restaurant they had been to a few days ago. “I’m going to go eat!”
They walked in and sat at a table. The Sphinx began cursing at the menu, but Shuxue ignored him.
Suddenly, a group of rowdy men entered the restaurant.
“Such bad luck, to have no open tables.” One of them cursed.
Another swept across this room with his gaze. He pointed at Shuxue, who was pouring himself some tea.
“Haha, who said there were no open tables. Isn’t that an open table right there? Even though it’ll be a bit crowded, all of us sitting together at that table isn’t impossible.”
The first man looked in Shuxue’s direction. “Haha, I have eyes yet cannot see an empty table. Let’s go sit down.”
The group all walked in front of Shuxue, before passing him and sitting at the vacant table behind him.
