After dealing with the first group, Kaden was halfway through the second group when the rest of the gang got the news and rushed to the scene of the massacre. However, when they got there, the main culprit was nowhere to be seen. All they could see was the lush green grass sullied with the blood of their teammates and pieces of body parts strewn around here and there. It took a solid 15 mins for the players to respawn and typically that was when their corpses disappeared too. So the scene at the forest was quite gruesome with so many of the dead bodies littered about. They were hundred in total and yet this was the result? Their blood boiled at this realization. How could someone be so out of reach on the second freaking day of the game?
At this time… "Hey! Isn't that him?" A sharp-eyed member of the group spotted a disturbance in the distance, a flicker of movement amidst the shadows. All eyes turned to focus on the figure, distant yet discernible, as a surge of adrenaline coursed through their veins. With renewed determination, the players charged toward the figure. Their hearts pounded with anticipation, fueled by the desire for retribution and the need to restore their tarnished honor. They had finally found the person who was responsible for everything!
Without a doubt, this time he was done for. He was outnumbered and also probably weakened from fighting against several people. So there was no room for escape. As the group hurriedly chased the single player, a few wolves popped up nearby which were quickly taken care of. No matter where the guy ran, they were determined to hunt him down. Nothing was going to stop them today from murdering this guy over and over. Soon, they could see that the culprit's speed was gradually slowing down. This was it. He was not going to last long.
And just as they predicted, the hateful bastard came to a stop, heaving and panting. However, to everyone's surprise, he was also grinning from ear to ear. "Welcome. Welcome. Welcome to monkey paradise!" "Monkey?" Someone exclaimed loudly in confusion. The next second, everything darkened as a cacophony of screeching noises echoed loudly, making everyone dizzy. Surrounding the group of seventy or so players were countless stone monkeys and from the looks of it, the beasts were fully aggroed to them and completely bat-shit crazy.
One after the other the monkeys started jumping on them, completely bombarding the entire mini-army. As if this was not enough, the big black dog was also roaming amidst the scene of terror and arrows whizzed through the air, finding their marks with deadly precision.
"Ahhhh!"
"This is a trap!"
"Fuck! We are screwed!"
"Bastard! You are going to pay for this!"
Several enraged shouts echoed in the air as chaos erupted. The once-confident players found themselves overwhelmed and outnumbered by the relentless assault of stone monkeys. They fought desperately to fend off the manic creatures, but the sheer numbers and ferocity of the simian onslaught proved too much to handle. Amidst the bedlam, Kaden reveled in the mayhem he had orchestrated. He hurriedly picked clean a few of the players, taking some kills for himself, not letting the monkeys have all the fun.
For someone who had led the city guards right into the bandit camp, this task wasn't all that different. While these noobs were just beginning to explore the world, Kaden was already well aware of the terrains and the beast territories top to bottom, at least in these starter zones. Want to hunt him down here? They can only achieve that in their dreams! The chaos continued for some more time as Kaden added a few more player kills and monkey kills to his tally. He was already well past the number of kills he needed to enter the underbelly but this situation was way too lucrative to leave behind. He stayed behind and continued fighting until there was no one else left in the battleground. The entire place was engulfed in chaos and carnage.
The once lush forest had transformed into a scene of devastation and despair, with the bodies of players and stone monkeys strewn across the blood-soaked ground. The battleground was now eerily silent, save for the occasional rustle of leaves and the distant hoot of an owl. Kaden alone stood amidst the wreckage, enjoying the sweet taste of victory. "So that happened…" He mused as he looked around, unable to believe that all of this was his doing. There was nothing more sweet than when a plan worked and everything came together perfectly.

"Right. Get all the drops guys." Stepping over the mountain of bodies, once more the trio energetically looted the corpses, by now becoming very skillful and efficient at this task. Considering that a raid party of a hundred had been utterly decimated by him, not to mention the drops from the stone monkey tribe, the haul this time was simply astounding!
"30 bottles of health potion!"
"30 bottles of mana potion!"
"5 bottles of stealth potion!"
"10 bottles of agility potion!"
"15 bottles of strength potion!"
Kaden's eyes glittered with dollar signs as he impatiently went through his massive loot. He now had thirty bags bulging and filled with all sorts of items dropped from the dire wolves and the feral wolves and some other level 10 beasts like the boars. There were raw hides, finished items, fangs, meat, basically all the drops one could possibly get.
"Dang! I didn't know farming a hundred players could be so lucrative." Kaden clicked his tongue admiring his impressive haul. Other than this, he also had the drops from the stone monkeys he had been farming before and the ones that were massacred right now. They were lying in a pile nearby as he did not have any more bags left to put them in.
Kaden frowned at the obvious problem that was cropping up. Without access to a city, he was unable to upgrade his inventory or sell the useless items. So his loot was basically just dragging him down and slowing his speed. He could possibly sell these at the underbelly but how was he supposed to haul everything there. And even if he did that, entering that shady area with full bags was just asking for a beating. If he was doing that, he might as well run around with a target on his back. Luckily there was no limit to gold or silver or copper coins one could store in the inventory. Otherwise, a huge coin sack might also be jingling from his hip.
Kaden carefully considered his alternatives. He could try to find a temporary storage solution, perhaps by hiding the loot in a secluded area of the game world until he could access a city. However, this posed its own risks, as other players could stumble upon his hidden cache. He also pondered the idea of establishing a makeshift trading post or stall in a relatively safe area. By setting up shop, he could attract other players interested in purchasing or trading for his loot. However, if he did that then all the players might just curse him to death. After all, he had only just now robbed them. How could he possibly sell the same things back to them? Hmmmm… or could he? Did they really see my face?
As Kaden thought seriously about this, suddenly a distant rustling sounded. "Huh? Come on. They couldn't possibly be back, can they?" He hurriedly stood up to check out the disturbance. But against his expectations he saw a few familiar faces. The guys who had only just now died under his scheme had actually returned?!!
Kaden did not even bother hiding as he genuinely did not think that they would come back for more. Clearly they were not his match, so why would they return? However, that was exactly what was happening right now. An angry and irritated mob was running toward him and he was sitting here with all of his spoils proudly displayed.
"Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!" In a panic Kaden cursed out loud and instantly summoned the two minions. He took cover behind a tree and sent Umbra to charge first. Scrap took cover behind another tree and started hurtling dark bolts. From the looks of it all hundred of them had not returned. They also should have lost some experience points on dying, enough to lose a level or two. Moreover, Kaden had already robbed them blind, looting all of their corpses. So between the gear loss and the stat loss from the death, he was confident that he could deal with even fifty of them especially in their current state without many skills. He also did not have any skills but the difference was that he had two summons who were pretty much overpowered.
Kaden did not wait for the other party and started the fight first. Without the help of the stone monkeys, this was going to be tough but he was confident he could at least escape when he needed to. Umbra growled as the beast charged into the fray, disappearing and suddenly appearing behind someone with an axe in his hand. The beast mauled the guy before he could react and then proceeded to maul the two standing near him. Meanwhile Scrap was tossing dark bolts left and right and Kaden coordinated with the two pets, taking out all the players with lower health using his crossbow. His aim was only so-so but the good thing was there were so many people so he hit someone or the other.
Before the mob could even reach Kaden, five of them were already dead and when they closed in, he skillfully backed away, not letting them close the gap. With that many people if he got caught in the thick of it, then it was going to get tricky. Kaden wanted to avoid getting surrounded. Scrap and Umbra also continued to do their damage. Coincidentally, the opposition also tried to take cover behind some trees just like he had but before the combined attack of the two minions, it was useless. They still picked them clean and got the kills.
And just like that another full-scale battle started. In the midst of this commotion, Kaden was pretty sure he heard someone wail loudly and ask him to stop because they did not come here to fight, but he casually ignored it and continued to blitz them.
