"You guys are here?"
Qin Yu's voice suddenly came from behind, startling Xiao Zhi and the others, causing them to jump.
"Yuge, it’s you! You scared me half to death." Xiao Zhi, wearing a hood, patted his chest and said.
"What’s with the hoods?" Qin Yu pointed to the hoods on their heads.
"We didn’t want to get caught," another disciple explained.
"Get caught? Are you serious? There’s no one around at this hour. Even the donkeys have gone home," Qin Yu retorted. "And besides, with your skills, if someone actually caught you, could you even run away?"
"Look at you guys sneaking around. It’s obvious you have something to hide. This will just draw more attention!"
Xiao Zhi and the others hurriedly took off their hoods.
"Give them to me," Qin Yu said. "I’ll keep them safe."
Xiao Zhi and the others obediently handed over their hoods, watching as Qin Yu put them on.
"...Yuge, why are you wearing it?" Xiao Zhi asked, confused.
"Don’t you get it? I’m the leader, so I have to bear the most risk."
"If you were an Enforcer and saw a group of normal people and one person wearing a hood, who would you arrest first?"
Xiao Zhi lowered his head in shame and muttered, "I’d arrest the one wearing the hood."
"Exactly. If they come for me, you guys will have the chance to escape."
The group looked at him with deep gratitude. "Yuge, we’re sorry. We misjudged you."
"You guys don’t really know me," Qin Yu said with a smile. "I don’t blame you, but remember this—I, Qin, will never harm my brothers."
"The people those scoundrels from Beast Control Peak hurt are you guys. It has nothing to do with me. I just can’t stand watching the way they bully us outer disciples, so I had to step in."
"Even so, I’ll take on the greatest risk. If I get caught, I will never sell any of you out."
"And if any of you get caught, don’t betray any of the others."
Qin Yu spoke with such passion that Xiao Zhi and the others were deeply moved.
Yuge is truly the greatest person in the world!

"Don’t worry, Yuge. Even if I’m kicked out of the sect, I’ll never betray anyone!"
"Me too!"
"Alright, let’s stick to the plan," Qin Yu said, getting back on track. "Make sure to spread out and make the scene look as realistic as possible."
"Once you’re done here, go to the Central Plaza and set things up there too."
"I’ve heard the Enforcer disciples will do patrols at 2 a.m. and 4 a.m., so we only have an hour left. Hurry up!"
The group, each carrying a sack, hurriedly moved through the market.
Qin Yu kept a close watch on their surroundings while directing the others.
"Tongzi, don’t put it here, it’s getting too dense!"
"Xiao Zhi, put that big pile in the center of the road. Yes, right there, in front of the doors to the Hundred Weapons Pavilion and the Ten Thousand Medicines Pavilion."
"Hey, you over there, sprinkle some water. Yours is too dry."
"Don’t put too much here, we still need to leave some for the Central Plaza. Keep it subtle, don’t make it too obvious."
"Hurry up! We’ve got half an hour left. Speed it up!"
After an hour of work, just as the patrol team was about to arrive, they quickly fled the scene.
Not long after they left, two Enforcer disciples arrived to patrol.
Normally, their patrols were more of a formality. Once the market shops closed, the array barriers were activated, and some shop owners and workers stayed inside to rest. Who would be stupid enough to try stealing anything?
But tonight, things were different.
As soon as the two patrol disciples arrived, they immediately let out a loud whistle.
The market street, wide and empty, was covered in the excrement of spirit beasts. Fur from various spirit beasts blew through the air, and the nauseating stench lingered, refusing to dissipate.
The only people on the street were the two patrol disciples, one of whom was holding his nose.
"What... what happened here?" one of them asked.
The other disciple immediately responded, "It’s definitely those people from Beast Control Peak again, bringing their spirit beasts secretly. After we caught them last time, they were unhappy, so now they’re here to provoke us."
"I knew it. The Beast Control Peak disciples have been coming to the market every night recently. They must have been scouting for this, planning it all along!"
"So, what should we do now?"
"Those bastards think they’re invincible again. They dare to provoke the Enforcement Team? They’re asking for it!" one of the disciples sneered.
The other disciple darkly said, "Let’s not do anything for now. Just leave things as they are."
"Once the shops open tomorrow and the market fills with people, someone will take care of them."
"We’ll go back and inform the others. When we hear a commotion, don’t act immediately. Let the Beast Control Peak people get beaten up first, then we can catch them."
"Looks like the punishment wasn’t severe enough last time, they didn’t learn their lesson!"
The second disciple nodded in agreement. "I’ve been annoyed with them for a long time. Now they’ve delivered themselves to us, so don’t blame us for being rude."
The two Enforcer disciples were absolutely certain that the mess had been caused by Beast Control Peak disciples.
They were both senior disciples, and a quick glance at the scene revealed clear signs that it was an intentional setup, but that didn’t matter.
What was important was that they had never had the chance to teach the Beast Control Peak disciples a lesson, but now, the opportunity had arrived.
When you want to add a crime, there’s always an excuse.
And with such obvious evidence right in front of them, they didn’t need to investigate further.
They didn’t know who had set up the Beast Control Peak disciples, but they knew this was going to be an exciting show.
The two patrol disciples made a quick round and then smiled as they left to continue their cultivation.
That night, Qin Yu, Li Zhengtong, Xiao Zhi, and the others didn’t get any cultivation done.
They were all eagerly awaiting the big show that would unfold at dawn.
