Chapter 30

The field was alive, like some fairy godmother had snapped her fingers over it. A few weeks ago, it was hard dirt. Now? Total green paradise. Straight out of a gardening magazine or whatever.

Lyra grinned. “Look at us now, huh? Mother Nature’s finally giving us the thumbs up!”

Colors popped. The smell of fresh soil hit like a wholesome punch to the nose. And yeah, it really did feel like the universe was finally high-fiving them.

The villagers? Buzzing. Laughing. No more funeral vibes. No more doom.

Where there used to be an empty wasteland, now there was life. And, oh boy, it felt good.

“Look at these beans! Ready to pop!” Lyra smacked a fat bean pod like it owed her rent money.

Mira stood by the corn stalks, fingers brushing over the golden kernels. She looked like she couldn’t believe it. “We’re not out of the woods yet,” she said, voice shaky. “But wow, we really pulled this off.” She looked at Lyra, eyes shining. “We might even have enough for a feast.”

The villagers were getting hyped, feeding off Lyra’s manic energy. This wasn’t just a harvest. This was the difference between barely surviving and full-on thriving.

People moved through the rows. Old folks shared tips and stories while the younger ones listened, wide-eyed. The village’s heart was beating again. Finally.

The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation.

Lyra jumped on a crate like it was her stage. “Alright, Team Awesome! Let’s harvest the heck out of this field! Take what’s ours!” She pumped a fist in the air.

The crowd went crazy. Tools raised. Shouts echoed. Showtime.

The villagers rushed forward, baskets in hand. Stalks fell with a satisfying thwack. The field was a green goldmine, every bean and corn a small victory.

Someone started singing an old folk tune. A terrible choice, honestly. But everyone joined in anyway, voices clashing in the best kind of chaos.

And then there was BloomBounce. A fluffy blur, bouncing around the field like it owned the place. Glowing green, zipping between legs, ears wiggling like crazy. It was their mascot. Their good luck charm. The fluffball that refused to quit.

The kids chased it, squealing. BloomBounce zoomed, bounced, and flipped. The field became a playground. Worries? Gone. Stress? What’s that?

“That little guy’s got more energy than a hot pepper!” Mira said. She laughed as BloomBounce zipped past. Seriously, it was like someone had strapped rockets to a marshmallow.

Lyra crouched, locking eyes with BloomBounce. “Hey, little buddy. You know we wouldn’t be here without you, right?” She scratched behind its ears. “MVP. Most Valuable Plant.” She scooped BloomBounce up and spun around. “Who’s the best BloomBounce? You are!”

“BloomBounce!” it squeaked, wiggling its ears.

Villagers crowded in, giving BloomBounce pats and thanks. “You’re the best, little guy!” someone said, ruffling its fur.

Mira gave it a soft smile, her hand resting on its head. “Thank you. Really. For everything.” Her voice caught. This wasn’t just about plants. It was hope. Joy. All the good stuff wrapped in fur and fluff.

Suddenly, BloomBounce started to glow. Bright. Too bright.

It wiggled free from Lyra’s grip and floated up. The light pulsed like it could feel their hearts beating.

The villagers froze. Staring. Jaws on the floor.

“Whoa, what’s happening?!” Lyra shielded her eyes, squinting. “Is this about to get awesome or are we about to get vaporized?”

BloomBounce floated higher, glowing brighter. The light spread, spilling over the field.

And then, it happened.
