7-giant Hobgoblin

7-giant Hobgoblin

With a massive clank the club hit the shield, leaving a dent in it. Being quick to react, Amerynna shot an arrow at the arm of the boss. As the arrow flew through the sky Raqurk casted a spell on it that made the tip as hard as steel. At first it seemed to penetrate the skin. Drawing a little blood on his left shoulder, but as fast as it hit it fell to the ground. The arrow wasn't powerful enough to stay in the arm. As it hit the ground the hobgoblin prepared his next attack. A massive side swing went for Kurdor's head. Not being able to block it with his shield, he dropped to the ground to dodge the attack.

Now out of balance the hobgoblin flew to the side. Opening him up for multiple attacks. Raqurk made vines spring up from the ground grasping it in place. Kurdor stood back up and ran towards the monster. Amerynna, not expecting this, shot multiple arrows in quick succession at it, nearly hitting Kurdor in the back.

"Look out, you tree hugger," Kurdor screamed jokingly.

"Not my fault, you were on the ground"

"Come on, stop fooling around and focus on the boss," Raqurk said.

With a slash from Kurdor's sword and the multiple arrows fired it had clearly taken some damage. After a deep cut on its left arm was made, it broke free from the vines. When it picked up its club it clearly didn't make as much use of its left arm now.

Thinking he would hit so hard, Kurdor didn't Make space between him and the boss. Going in for another hit, he didn't focus on the club coming right for him. Even with a scream from Amerynna to watch out, it was too late. With a sound of metal being hit, Kurdor flew through the room after being hit straight in the chest. His platemail armor now being dented it couldn't provide much protection from the oncoming blow of the wall. From that hit, Kurdor was fully unconscious after that. The impact left him bleeding on the floor.

Bardy the halfling was now tasked with keeping the hobgoblin busy while they got Kurdor back up. Because he was so small he didn't possess any larger weapon to attack with, only relying on his speed and short daggers to do the job.

Raqurk rushed to the dwarf's side to heal him. Even though he shouldn't use any more mana to continue the fight. He casted a small healing spell over him to patch up some of the smaller wounds, but the damage he sustained from that hit couldn't all be healed by that.

As Bardy saw he did not cast any more healing spells he shouted "Raqurk, catch this" while throwing a healing potion to him. The glass bottle flew towards them. But because of how focused Raqurk was it almost hit the wall, only catching it at the last second.

He raised the visor on his helmet to help him down the potion. Once it entered his mouth it took effect. The open wounds on his back stopped bleeding and healed up. He wasn't conscious yet but at least wasn't in a live threatening state anymore.

Amerynna trying to remain calm. Grabbed a flask filled with a green liquid from her belt. After she opened up the bottle , she took an arrow with beautifully engraved lines on the head. She dipped it in the liquid. It stuck to the groves and twists staying put in there. Preparing to fire the arrow, Amerynna activated: resounding blast. Wind formed around her and flowed from the ground over her arms to the arrow.

Bardy was still circling the hobgoblin. As it prepared for another swing, Bardy stopped in his path and ran straight towards it. With the tree stump coming down on him, he slid over the ground dodging the attack by the width of a hair.

As the club hit the ground it left a hole where Bardy just was. But his small posture and quick wits left the hobgoblin all open. Amerynna let go of the string, launching the arrow straight towards the core of the boss. The wind flowing over the arrow was clearly visible because of the skill she used.

As the tip hit it, the green liquid started to work. Like acid it bit through skin and tissue straight into the hobgoblin. Enraged by the pain of the arrow, it ripped it out. Breaking the arrow, to the dismay of the party as they were expensive.

Slowly coming to, Kurdor was extremely confused and didn't know what was happening. He had difficulty moving around from the dent in his chestplate, but couldn't feel much pain thanks to the healing potion forced down his throat.

"Welcome back to the land of the living" Amerynna said.

"Stop sitting around and get me away from this giant" Bardy remarked.

"You're doing great, little one, keep it up" Raqurk said jokingly.

With a loud groan the dwarf stood up, after which he looked for his sword and shield to inspect it for any damage. Satisfied with the state of them, he made haste to the side of the halfling. To relieve him from the boss he activated Shielding stance. In an instance the gaze of the hobgoblin turned to Kurdor. Preparing for an attack He razed his shield. but the attack never came. The attacks combined with the acid had tired out the monster enough to make it lose grip of its club. They now all attacked it to finish off this boss and continue further downwards.
