Around fifty-four students have gone up to the stage to be assessed by Muninn so far.
Every time someone was assigned a house, the people who were already assigned there would cheer for them. So the more people that get assigned to a house, the louder it gets.
Just now a blue-haired girl got assigned to the Sage House and was walking off the stage.
Senia called the next name.
“Emma Fortis.”
At the words, the hall went silent. The girl from the Fortis family stood up and walked to the stage.
Many people wanted to be in the same house as Emma Fortis. Some because they thought it would make their house stronger, others because it would become easier to make a connection with her and get ahead in life.
Emma took her spot on the stage and reached her hand towards Muninn.
“A Fortis huh? How boring…” Muninn scoffed as realized what family Emma belonged to.
The students were shocked as to how the bird could just insult a member of one of the great families.
“You people are all the same, nothing changes no matter how many years go by. Well, off to the Knight House you go.” Muninn just assigned her without saying anything about her character and simply sent her off.
Unbothered, Senia went about her duty and pressed on Emma’s tie, changing its color to yellow.
Seemingly also unbothered about what Muninn said, Emma walked off the stage and casually took her place at the Knight table.

The ceremony continued and Art mostly stopped paying attention.
However, one thing did catch his attention.
One of the students that Muninn assigned to the Fool House, Harry Matt, seemed to not take it well and loudly stomped his way over to the black table where Art was seated. However, even in his frustration, he made sure not to sit too close to Art.
Senia kept calling names, and eventually, she got to a name that Art recognized.
“Jamie Narr.”
Jamie stood up from his seat and made his way to the stage with anticipation.
Quickly walking up the stairs and onto the stage, Jamie stuck up his hand as if he couldn’t wait anymore.
“Not much desire for yourself… but it seems that the bonds that you make drive you to keep going. Good… How about the Knight House?”
As if it were an open question, Jamie nodded.
Senia touched Jamie’s tie and changed it to a yellow color.
Gleefully accepting his new house, Jamie made his way back to the Knight table.
More and more names were called and then it finally happened.
Senia called his name, “Art Sophos.”
Unlike when Emma Fortis was called, the students were not silent with anticipation.
Gossip began once again as Art stood up.
“Is it bad to say that I don’t want him in our house?” One student assigned to the Knight House said to his peer.
“Kinda, but I agree with you…”

Hearing their words, Art made eye contact with the floor.
More people started making similar comments.
What did he do to deserve this treatment? They didn’t even know him, so why are they judging him so quickly?
He kept his head down as he made his way to the stage.
Many of the students' comments were negative, though some of the Emperor House students said they would like him in their house which made Art feel a little better.
Art made his way up the steps leading to the stage. Reaching his hand out to the raven, he took a deep breath.
Muninn’s eyes gleamed as he assessed Art.
“It seems his influence was lost on you...”
Art looked around. He didn’t know where the sound was coming from.
He thought it was Munnin but the bird never opened its beak, but the voice sounded just like his.
“It seems that your thirst for knowledge is insatiable. You would do well in the Sage House.”
Before he could ask any questions Senia pressed on his tie and a white light flashed in front of his eyes.
It was quite bright, but not blindingly so.
Art looked at Muninn, but the bird was looking elsewhere.
“Come on now, head off to the Sage table sweetie.” Senia softly urged Art off the stage.
“But…Mun… never mind..” Art got choked up on his words.
Art wanted to ask the raven a question, but reluctantly followed Senia’s words as he didn’t want to trouble her.
Left pondering what Muninn said Art walked to the Sage table and took the closest available seat.
Deep in his thoughts, Art didn’t notice the people he sat next to inching away from him.
Well, whatever the bird meant. There was no use worrying about it now.
Shaking off his thoughts for now, Art heard the next name.
“Jean Sura.”
The light blue-haired boy he met on the train stood up.
He walked to the stage and pushed up his glasses that were threatening to fall to the floor.
Jean raised his hand for Muninn to assess him, who wasted no time in doing so.
“Hmm… It seems that you suppress your love for your duty. How pitiful, and foolish... Off to the Sage House child.” Muninn scoffed as he sent Jean off.
Jean seemed perplexed but quickly recovered after Senia changed his tie to blue.
Muninn spoke to Jean with contempt in his voice, but it didn’t seem like it was directed towards him.
Jean walked off the stage.
Art could see Senia talking to Muninn but couldn’t make out what they were saying.
----------------------------------------
The ceremony continued as normal until the moment most people were waiting for arrived.
“Ryan Weiss.”
Senia called the name of the boy from the Weiss family.
Ryan Weiss was the descendant of Edelweiss, the Hero of the World and founder of this very academy.
Ryan stood up from his seat next to Jamie and confidently walked up the stairs to the stage.
Ryan raised his hand to the bird.
Muninn stared at the boy for a second, before revealing his assessment.
“It seems you wish to be a hero, do you boy?” Muninn talked to Ryan.
“Yes, Sir Muninn,” Ryan nodded and confirmed Muninn’s query.
“Your ancestor wished the same. Maybe you’ll pull it off. Now, off to the Knight House with you.” Muninn swiftly declared.
Cheers erupted from the Knight House.
This was big. They got two members of the great families in their house.
Senia changed Ryan’s tie from black to yellow.
“Thank you.” Ryan thanked Senia with a smile.
Under the cheers of the students from the Knight House, Ryan walked off the stage.
The cheers from the Knight House were tremendous. Ryan had to acknowledge them. He waved to his fellow house members as he walked down the stairs.
“Thank you. Thank youuuuu..!” As Ryan was thanking the students cheering for him, he missed his footing on the next stair.
Art watched as Ryan tumbled down the next three steps onto the floor.
The hall went silent.
Art winced looking away from the crash site. That must have hurt, and not only physically.
But, seemingly as if nothing happened, Ryan stood up, brushed off his clothes, and silently walked to the Knight table. However, Art couldn’t help but notice the red glow coming from his ears.
As he had already been sitting at the Knight table, Ryan simply returned to his previous seat.
“pfft.. Sofia Windsor.” Senia tried her best to bail out Ryan by continuing the ceremony, but her stifled laugh didn’t help.
“Hey Ryan, you alright?” Jamie asked Ryan with a look of concern.
“I’m fine.” Ryan quickly responded while keeping eye contact with the table.
But the boy seemed anything but fine.
