Meanwhile inside the comfort of his office, the headmaster was leisurely drinking coffee and enjoying the mayhem as the images from the battlefield were streamed to him using the intricately decorated little box he used before.
As for the rest of the campus, they could either tune in via their IDs, TV screens inside their favorite restaurant hang out spot, or through large projection screens scattered throughout Inanis Orbis. Truly even in the magical world, the streaming craze was alive and well.
The headmaster chuckled as the carnage continued before his very eyes.
“Ah just look at them, all so green and pure. It’s kind of heartwarming to see this kind of innocence. Charging in spouting words of bravado born from their own pride.” Leonardo said to himself as he sipped more coffee.
“All so eager, so desperate to prove their strength and worth. Ah such a sight brings me so much nostalgia!” Leonardo continued.
“Now I wonder. What could those four problem children be doing? Don’t disappoint me now.”
He said as he continued to watch the scenes intently.
“What are you planning to do, Sylvester Clearsight?”

“All of you will stand aside!” Letisia shouted as she prepared to break through the battlefield. Her loud declaration attracted the attention of some of the combatants, only to find magic circles forming underneath their feet.
“Flaming Pillars!” Letisia declared.
Large pillars of spinning flame formed from the magic circles engulfing those unfortunate enough to be caught in it. Due to the chaotic nature of the battle, Letisia’s area of effect spell managed to disable a large number of mages as most of them were taken by surprise.
“Dammit! It’s the Clarentum Inquisitors!” One of the downed participants yelled as he squirmed in his chains like a worm.
“Quick! Someone grab the treasure and run!” Another disgruntled participant ordered his team.
Soon, a small group of people started rushing towards the black box that was silently floating in the air.
“The moment they noticed our presence they chose to flee? What cowardice.” A tall man wearing glasses stepped up in front of Letisia.
“Shall I take the treasure now?” He asked in a polite tone as he stretched out his hand towards the floating black box while also preparing to cast a spell.
“Please do Sir Ronald, I don’t want to spend any more time in this place anyway. I have a dislike for deserts.” Letisia replied.
“It shall be done. Phantom hand!” Ronald declared.
A magic circle formed in front of Ronald’s hand and then a translucent hand shot out with incredible speed, reaching the box before anyone else could. He then safely tugged it back towards his position before anyone could cast a spell to retaliate.
But this doesn’t mean that the battle for control was over. In fact it only served to motivate and agitate the crowd even more.
“You think you can just walk in here and take it for yourselves?!” and with those words, a small group of people from varied organizations started running towards them much to Letisia’s dismay.
“Frieda,be a dear and take care of the rest will you?” Letisia asked her female companion that had black hair tied into a ponytail.
“It shall be done my lady.” Frieda then obeyed Letisia’s request and stood in the way of the incoming attackers.
“Do they really think they can take all of us with just the four of them? What a joke.”
Frieda then looked towards the incoming group and made no motion. In silence she gathered mana and prepared to deal with the disrespectful bunch.
“All of you shall be stepping stones for the beginning of Lady Letisia’s path to greatness. Rejoice!” She said as an innocent and happy smile formed on her face.
“Earth wall!”
Frieda stomped her left foot into the sand. All of a sudden the sand in front of her started shaking as if there was a small earthquake nearby. Then a large wall made of dirt rose up from the sand, launching those unfortunate enough to be underneath it when it appeared.
Frieda made a satisfied smile and faced Letisia once more.

“It is done, my lady.” She said as she bowed down towards Letisia.
“Good work my dear Frieda.”
“Ronald, Josef, enough fooling around. We must quickly make our exit or else only more vermin will show up.” letisia commanded.
“Yes my lady!” Josef and Ronald replied.
Josef then stood in front of the group acting as a vanguard while Frieda and Ronald stood behind Letisia creating a defensive triangle.
They believe that the forest areas and its trees can serve as a small obstruction and it would be easier to divide the pursuing groups.
Sadly this plan was immediately halted by an arrival that Letisia most definitely expected.
---
William and his group arrived a little bit later to the second quadrant as they chose not to use any speed based spell or even flying spells.
Once arriving at their destination, William could feel the chaotic mana pulsating all around him. It was a strange feeling because William felt as if he was in the middle of a great war. This whole festival was supposed to be nothing more than a fun little game meant for neophytes, yet he feels that he should start taking it more seriously.
William then told his group to lay low and and approach cautiously and if they could, avoid any random confrontation and try to save their strength.
All of a sudden they felt that the area became calm and the chaotic clashes of mana seemed to have lessened by a lot. As they moved forward they saw a large wall made of earth rise from the ground and send people high up into the sky.
William had a feeling that a group has already gained control of the box and they were the ones responsible for that massive earth wall.
Without any more hesitation he quickly decided the best action is to move forward and try to attack whoever holds the box.
Even if they aren’t able to take the box, they might just be able to distract them enough and make them lose it through the random item drop.
With his mind made up, William finally made his move.
“Alright girls, we have no time to lose. Take the box if possible but our main goal is to reset its location!” He commanded.
“You got it, William.” The girls unanimously agreed.
They once again used Mana Fortification to move faster and catch up to whoever had control of the box.
As he continued running William realized who it was he and his friends had to face. He gritted his teeth as he knows this battle will be rather unpleasant, at least, verbally.
He suddenly stopped in his tracks and gestured for the girls to do the same. He looked forward and saw a woman with long blonde hair shaped into drills.
The woman in turn turned around to meet his eyes as if sensing his stare. She flashed a mocking smile as she displayed her prize in front of William.
“Well if isn’t the 3rd rate mage that dares to defile this great institution with his presence. William Wright!” Letisia said as she taunted him with her volatile words.
“I’m flattered you still remember my name.” William responded in a serious tone.
“You really should! I hate the fact that I wasted memory space to remember your worthless existence.” Letisia replied in contempt.
“Hey you mean woman! Why don’t you shut your dirty mouth!” Julia angrily cut into the conversation.
Letisia raised an eyebrow as he shifted her attention towards William’s companions. Her lips rose up forming a crooked smile before bursting into an annoying fit of laughter.
“Your friends are as unpleasant as you are. Fitting really.” She continued to mock William. Her continued arrogant attitude was starting to get to William’s friends as well.
“I don’t have time to listen to your low brow insults!” Mary responded in a fit of anger. “Ice blast!” She shouted.
A magical circle appeared on her hand and summoned forth shards of ice that flew towards Letisia’s position, but it was easily blocked by Josef and the quick swings of his blade.
“You will not touch lady Letisia so long as I am here.” He said as he pointed his sword towards Mary.
“It seems these guys are geared up for a fight.” Mary commented.
“There’s no turning back now, are you ready William?” Sharn interjected as she asked William one last time.
“No, just wait a little bit more. The time to strike will come soon.” William said in a calm voice as he started to gather mana for his own spell.
“Oh are you planning something? I’d like to see you tr-” Letisia’s words were cut short when the black box on her hands suddenly opened and launched an item from within.
She immediately grabbed it as soon as possible and was horrified at what she was given.
“What is this!? Why did this thing give me a screwdriver?” She yelled out loud, complaining about the hand she was dealt.
William then seized this opportunity and started his assault.
“Now's the chance! Attack!” William commanded.
Mary then raised her hands into the air and gathered mana as quick as possible so she could cast another spell.
“Ice rain!” She declared as a magic circle from above started to rain down shards of ice. Meanwhile Julia and Sharn closed in and attacked Letisia’s two other companions.
Almost immediately, their formation was broken as the sudden activation of the box forced them to lose focus for a few precious moments, something that William and his team easily capitalized on.
“Lightning spear!” William shouted as a bolt of lightning form on his hand. He then threw it towards Letisia who easily blocked it with a prism shield.
“Damn you!” She said but William didn’t relent on his assault.
He immediately followed up his lighting spear with multiple projectile spells born from other elements. They weren’t powerful spells, but given his goal, they were perfect for the job.
Letisia tried her best to retaliate but the added mental strain of having to think of a way to use the screwdriver was eroding her concentration. This ensured that WIlliam had the psychological edge.
“What now you arrogant woman? Where did all that air go?” William exclaimed.
“Why you-” Before Letisia could finish her sentence, the screwdriver and the box flashed white causing her to panic.
“No no no!” She screamed and to her horror the box vanished out of her hands.
