In the pitch black of the night, just as all hope seemed lost for Noah, a sudden glimmer of light broke through the darkness.
A tremendous burst of vibrant blue flames erupted between Noah and this relentless creature.
The crackling wall of fire danced and roared, shielding him from the impending doom.
Panting heavily, he scarcely had time to comprehend the miraculous intervention.
Gathering what little strength he had left, Noah raised his head, his eyes searching for the source of this inexplicable salvation. Perched delicately on a high tree branch was a figure, cloaked in mystery. His presence commanded attention, and his piercing blue gaze shone uncannily in the gloom.
It became clear that this mysterious figure had conjured the lifesaving wall of flames. His pupil, glowing with an intense azure light, seemed to hold some extraordinary power.
Noah's mind swirled with disbelief and wonder. Was this another otherworldly being?, how did he find him here?, could he be the unananimous person who sent the text?, a savior sent to rescue him from the clutches of death?
Overwhelmed by the surreal spectacle before him, an injured Noah consciousness began to waver.
Darkness encroached on his vision, and his eyelids grew heavy. The last image etched into his memory was the enigmatic figure, his eyes blazing blue with determination, before Noah succumbed to his injuries and passed out.
As the morning sun gently streamed through the curtains, illuminating the room, Noah slowly opened his eyes and found himself lying in his bed.
Confusion washed over him as his mind struggled to make sense of the situation.
His clothes were torn up and he wondered why. Then immediately a surge of memories flooded through his mind as he leaped out of his bed .
He remembered.
Just yesterday, he was at deaths door after receiving numerous injuries and getting his bones fractured badly, yet now, to his utter astonishment, his injuries had completely vanished.
He touched his head to feel the injury he had gotten , he recalled vividly how his head was cut open when he crashed into a tree.
He couldn't help but marvel at the miraculous healing that had taken place overnight.
His cuts, scratches, and bruises had all disappeared as if they had never existed.
"What is happening ?" Thoughts raced through his mind as he tried to comprehend this inexplicable phenomenon. How was it possible?.
Lost in contemplation, Noah's mind wandered back to the events of last night.
He vividly remembered the enigmatic figure he had glimpsed deep within the woods who stood high on the branch of a tree.
A mysterious savior who had appeared out of nowhere, bringing him to safety when all hope seemed lost. Though shrouded in shadows, he recalled the strange aura of power emanating from this enigmatic figure.
Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.
He never even got to meet the person he agreed to meet up with yesterday, all because of the being that attacked him yesterday.
He's memory was foggy, sitting at the edge of his bed, Noah reflected on the possibility that his miraculous healing and the presence of the enigmatic figure were somehow connected.
He pondered relentlessly, thinking hard for any clues or hints that could shed light on this.
Just as his thoughts began to spiral into an abyss of speculation, a sudden beep startled him.
Curiously glancing at his phone, he noticed a new message notification from an anonymous sender.
It was the same guy from yesterday, was he messing with him or maybe he actually came to their meeting place but did not meet him there as agreed? His heart skipped a beat as he read the text, which urged him to return to the same forest where he had encountered the enigmatic figure the day before.
"The forest? Did he mean the same forest where he barely survived from".
Trepidation slowly filled his mind as he contemplated the meeting.
Who was this anonymous person who seemed to know about the encounter? Could they be the very same figure he had encountered in the woods? A surge of adrenaline coursed through his veins as he pondered the countless possibilities.
With every passing moment, Noah's determination to find what all this meant grew stronger. He knew he needed to finally unravel the mystery that had consumed his thoughts since yesterday.
Ignoring the occasional flicker of doubt and still lingering fear , he mustered the courage to meet this strange person.
Be he wasn't going to make the same mistake as yesterday, he was going to come prepared.
In a surge of anticipation, he prepared himself to return to the forest.
He could not go to school today as it seemed his today schedule has been cancelled .
But he needed his mom to think he actually went to school. He didn't want to raise suspicion.
He called his best friend ,that Incase his teacher were to ask, he should cover up for him and say he is sick.
He still had no idea where his bicycle was after yesterday so he ventured there on foot , he barely managed to remember the location of where the forest was but he managed to find it.
He stopped at the entrance, doubt and reasoning filled, he wondered, "Was this really a good idea?".
What if he get attacked again, the possibility of getting saved again seemed almost impossible but seeing he was already here , he had no choice but to go in.
With each step toward the woods, his curiosity intensified. He hoped that the anonymity would soon be replaced by answers, unveiling the identity and intentions of the enigmatic figure who had saved him, and the creature which almost killed him on two different occasions.
He slowly began to recognize this path he was taking. It was the same route he took yesterday while trying to escape. It was all coming back to him now .
Finally he got to the tree where the huge flame wall appeared . The burnt marks on the floor was still there. This was the place, he was sure but where is the person that texted him to come here?.
He waited for some time with anxiety as his leverage. He wondered how the person would look like. He touched his pocket to feel the knife he safely hid just Incase things got ugly.
He grabbed one from his mom's kitchen before coming here, though he had no intention of using but just being with it gave him some kind of assurance.
Glimpsing around to see if the person was even coming and in a blink of an eye he sees a person leaning at the side of a tree with his arms folded.
Surprised and alarmed he reaches for his knife but it's gone. He feels a bit more around his pockets but nothing. He looks around the floor but nothing. It's almost like the knife vanished.
"You looking for this?". The strange person said holding the knife by the tip up for Noah to see , bewildered at how he managed to get his knife and appear out of nowhere, Noah staggered a bit while trying to back away.
He looked human but nothing about him felt any bit of normal.
The person in front of him looked to be in his early twenties.
His thick locks, a rich hue of chestnut brown, cascade effortlessly in perfectly tousled waves, framing a face that seems sculpted by the hands of an artist. His strong jawline, chiseled and defined ,accentuates his symmetrical features. Complemented by a pair of arched, expressive eyebrows that dance with every emotion, his warm hazel eyes hold a magnetic allure, deep lending an air of mystery to his demeanor.
He was dressed in a dark- colored fitted turtle neck , with a huge crescent like necklace round his neck. He had a pair of fingerless gloves with big golden cuffs and a pair of leather black jeans. His whole clothing greatly added to the air of mystery he brought. He had two blades strapped fitted to his back.
Throwing the knife away and walking towards Noah who was too scared to move .
"Just for information , I'm the one who sent you that text message".
He said with a straight face.
Noah had a strong feeling it was going to be that way but he stayed quiet, only nodding slowly.
"Don't come any closer!" Noah snapped"Just tell me who you are and what do you want from me? Are you some kind of creepy stalker?".
He took seconds of silence before he answered the question
"I'm not here to hurt you, I'm here to help ok?"
Noah wasn't convinced, he had loads of questions and he wanted all the answers he could get.
"Are you also the one who made that huge wall of blue flames yesterday night?".
"And saved you , yes, I am the one . I didn't know the void being was going to attack you. But as you didn't make it as to out scheduled time , I knew something was wrong so I tracked you down. I wanted to tell you everything but you passed out yesterday from exhaustion "
He replied calmly, still looking Noah in the eyes.
"Void being?"Noah asked.
"The creature that was after you yesterday"
So he knows something about that creature?. Was he the one that sent it to come after him?
"So what I want to know is why you brought something like that into this world and why you sent it after me, Is this some kind of failed ritual or something?".
He sighed , averting his gaze towards his surroundings before looki
ng back at Noah with a worried look on his face
"I'm not the one who brought that creature to this world . You did".
