CHAPTER 10: LINNEA

CHAPTER 10: LINNEA

The next day, Noah was on his way to school but he didn't have his bicycle so he had to take public transport.

He was going to save up his allowance to get himself a new bicycle cause he hated how crowded, public buses were.

He got a text from Ceaser asking him if he was going to come to school today. Though he didn't bother to reply since he was already going to school, maybe he would surprise him.

As the morning sunlight streamed through the windows and danced upon the hallways, the school came alive with the buzzing chatter of students eager to embark on yet another day of classes.

Noah made his way through the sea of lockers, his footsteps echoing softly against the polished marble floor.

With a sense of purpose, he clutched his books tightly to his chest and gracefully maneuvered through the maze-like corridors towards his locker.

Each metallic click of his footsteps resonated harmoniously within the bustling atmosphere. As he turned the corner, his heart skipped a beat, for standing near his locker Ceaser with a mischievous grin plastered across his face.

He sighed and smiled. Ceaser knew him too well.

"So , you rebel, why did skip school yesterday?"

Noah unlocked his locker to get some books for today's classes."It's not that important, just be glad I came today" . "You must have missed me so much since you can't do without me" Noah teased with an awful smirk.

Ceaser rolled his eyes "In your dreams, just wanted to make sure you don't skip classes and fail our upcoming test".

"Yeah yeah, like I would fail the test". He slammed his locker shut and started making his way to class.

"What's up with your hand?" Suddenly noticing it was bandaged.

Noah looked at his hand. He had totally forgotten about it .

"I accidentally cut my hand with a kitchen knife.... when I was..... trying to make dinner" hoping he would buy it and not question any further.

Ceaser shrugged it off, it wasn't really that important, he just thought he should show a little concern.

As the two friends strolled together towards their first class, the conversation flowed freely, punctuated by boisterous bursts of laughter.

Their banter intertwined with the cadence of their footsteps, creating an invisible thread that connected them like glue. Noah listened attentively as Ceaser recounted yesterday's activities and how he missed them, vividly painting each tale with animated gestures and a contagious energy.

Noah knew some of it were lies just to make the conversation more interesting but he didn't mind at all.

With their animated chatter and shared jokes, they reached the classroom, reluctantly parting ways to join their respective seats.

Every student were already seated , waiting for the teacher to come in so they could begin their morning lectures.

He glanced back at May who was seated behind him and waved her hello which she waved back with an innocent smile.

The classroom was abuzz with anticipation as the students eagerly waited for their teacher to come in and start the day's lectures. The atmosphere was filled with a mix of excitement and boredom, as everyone chatted and fidgeted in their seats. However, the monotony was suddenly interrupted by the entry the principal who was accompanied by a new student.

The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

As the principal walked in, all heads turned towards him, curiosity flickering in their eyes.

The class fell silent, their eager voices replaced by a hushed anticipation. And there she stood, right beside the principal - the new arrival.

"Good morning class" , with a warm smile in his face. They replied in unison .

"We have a new student who will be joining your class starting from today, do your best to make sure she feels welcome".

The class fell into a hushed reverie as they beheld her stunning beauty, their breaths stolen away by her graceful presence.

It was as if time had momentarily halted, the very air in the room becoming charged with an indescribable energy. Her enchanting features captivated everyone’s attention. Her long, lustrous red hair cascaded down her back like a waterfall, each strand seemingly imprinted with a touch of sunshine. Her eyes, like pools of mesmerizing azure, held depths yet to be explored. Her smile, gentle and radiant, effortlessly illuminated the room.

She stepped forward boldly beaming with excitement. "Hello everyone, my name is Linnea. I'll be in your care, starting today. "

Yet, amidst the collective admiration, Noah watched her closely, sensing a subtle difference that set her apart from the rest.

He wasn't sure were to place his finger on it but there was an air of mystery about her, an enigmatic aura that seemed to envelop her every movement.

Every of his senses tingled like it was trying to tell him something.

While everyone saw only her ethereal beauty, our protagonist was inexplicably drawn to uncover the secrets hidden beneath the surface.

As the class exchanged glances filled with intrigue and bewilderment, she took a seat at the front, with Noah behind her,her presence almost demanding attention. The room remained silent, as if the students were afraid to disturb the tranquility she exuded.

"Hi..", turning her head slightly to face Noah.

Noah found it hard to tear his eyes away, he was starting to feel funny, he was beginning to dizzy and his head began to hurt like crazy.

He wasn't sure what was happening but he was feeling different than when he first came to class.

Observing his sudden change , she turned to him,"Are you ok?". Noah was sweating now and every pore of his body was strangely heating up .

He was not ok and he wasn't sure why. At the corner of his eye, he noticed Ceaser worried stare. Noah was feeling really terrible but wondered if it was that bad, that made his best friend look at him this way.

Noah wondered if this was related to his lycan powers. Was it a hint of it slowly manifesting or was it something else?

Her arrival had stirred something in him like a dormant curiosity that had suddenly been awakened.

Feeling increasingly uneasy and nauseous, Noah couldn't bear the discomfort any longer. With beads of sweat forming on his forehead, he realized a quick escape was necessary.

Uncertain of the cause, he knew he had to take a breather from the confines of the classroom.

The air seemed stagnant, imprisoning him in a cloud of unsettled emotions. As murmurs echoed around him, he knew he had to act swiftly.

Apologizing to his new classmate Linnea and explaining that he needed a moment to clear his head so wouldn't get the wrong idea, he made his way towards the exit.

Each step felt heavier than the last, as though his body was weighed down by an invisible force. The coolness of the corridor embraced him as he stepped outside, providing temporary relief from the oppressive atmosphere.

He felt slightly better . He thought to himself what could have triggered such intense discomfort. Regardless of the reason, he knew he couldn't go back just yet.

Taking slow, deliberate breaths, he allowed the fresh air to fill his lungs, hoping it would alleviate the overpowering sensation.

As the final bell of the day rang, signaling the end of classes, a wave of fatigue washed over him. He trudged towards the locker room with a heavy heart, his mind plagued with the task that awaited him - changing into his dreaded PE uniform.

Noah, being an average player on the team, he often found himself on the sidelines, relegated to the bench, while his more skilled teammates showcased their talent on the court.

He felt this wasn't fair since Raphael wasn't really that good but he always started and finished every game. He could only be put on the bench if he was tired and didn't feel like playing anymore.

This prospect did not ignite any excitement within him, for he knew he was destined to warm the bench once again.

With a sigh, he entered the locker room, the scent of sweat and damp clothes enveloping his senses.

Amidst the bustling and hurried atmosphere, he found solace as he stepped into his small corner, exchanging his regular clothing for the all-too-familiar black and yellow PE attire.

Thoughts of his lackluster performances on the court loomed large, reminding him of his inability to stand out amongst his more talented peers.

However, just as he prepared to face the inevitable and head out to the court, he spotted a familiar face - his best friend and someone else which he wasn't expecting, it was May.

A genuine smile stretched across her face and Ceaser excitingly gestured for him to come over quickly as he approached him, the thought of talking with his two favorite people in the whole school offered a sense of comfort amidst the athletically inclined environment.

"Hi" , sitting in between the two of them.

"Are you feeling ok? You were acting really strange in class". She inquired with a concerned look.

He was really happy inside ,that she was worried about him.

"It was just a slight headache, I'm all better now."

"You sure dude? Last time i checked , all of a sudden you ran out of the class like a lady who was on her period," Ceaser teased."No offense May".

"Oh ha...ha. I must have left my 'care about your opinion ' hat at home today". He wasn't going to let Ceaser smart mouth make him look less in front of his crush.

As the inter-friendly match was about to start, one of the players walked up to Raphael who was busy ordering his team to get into position. He didn't even notice his girlfriend when she came in.

With an arm round his neck he muttered into his ear."Don't look now , but isn't that Noah flirting with your girlfriend ".

He turned around sharply to confirm only to see May laughing and chatting merrily with him.

He couldn't believe his eyes as he was already fuming in anger. Filled with an uncontrollable rage, took one of the basketball , putting every ounce of energy in his body and hauled it towards Noah.

His eyes widen in disbelief as he watches the ball change its trajectory, missing its intended target and heading towards his girlfriend instead.

Time seems to slow down for a brief moment as Noah felt a strange sensation.

In that split second, the Noah's instincts kicks in.

Without a second thought, Noah swiftly tu
