Nielle stood in the middle of the room, gritting his teeth in irritation. After Brelle examined Shane on the ground and determined that he had indeed collapsed, he was taken to Elyan. The king kept Nielle in the main hall while he sent Louis and Brelle away. Louis objected, trying to stay and at least stand up for his brother a little, but Nielle wasn't interested in that. If there was something he really hated, it was the effort of others to protect him from something, as if he couldn't do it on his own.
But Nielle knew that Louis would wait outside anyway...while Brelle went to see Elyan to find out what happened to Shane.
Nielle wondered for a moment if Shane had really collapsed, or if he was just putting on a show, as he had threatened him with promise of making trouble yesterday. He smiled softly at the thought that he really did it on purpose. However, he was brought out of his thoughts the moment he heard footsteps in his direction.
Nielle only looked up at the king who was approaching him pissed off and sighed inwardly. He slowly opened his mouth in an attempt to say something, but before he could, he was a slapped hard by the king.
Nielle blinked painfully as the many rings on the king's hand created deep scratches on his face. His cheek stung and he felt blood running down his face from the wounds. Nielle gently wiped it off and gave his father an irritated look, which only angered the king more.
"Do you think my words have no weight? Since when did you stop respecting them completely?! What did I tell you about the new Lacrisan?! What were you supposed to do with him? Don't you listen to anything at all? You said a while ago that he was fine, didn't you?! I see how fine he is!" he screamed.
Nielle slowly calmed down and said, "He was yesterday, I don't know what happened to him...I guess he didn't eat yet," he began.
"Didn't eat?" the king laughed, "He didn't look like he just didn't eat!" he shouted.
"Nobody knows, every Lacrisan is different, maybe he can't get used to the lack of luck in the country... I didn't do anything inappropriate to him," he clarified.
The king laughed with rage and slapped Nielle again, adding burgundy marks to his pale skin: "Do you think I'm crazy?!"
Nielle clenched his fists, how much anger filled, but after a deep breath, he said: "Father...if you want to punish me for something, do so. I don't know what else you want to hear...we're wasting time," he said probably more irritated than he should, as the king slapped hin again.
Nielle opened his mouth painfully and spat bloody saliva onto the ground as the king tore his lip open. After a moment of suppressing his nerves, he turned to leave.
"Where do you think you're going?!" the king screamed.
"If you'll excuse me, father, I'm going to see him...I want to know what's wrong with my Lacrisan," he lied, "if you want to punish me, send someone with instructions, I'll accept it. But I don't see the point in this conversation." he declared and left the hall without another word.
Nielle heard the aggressive shout of the king, since he wasn't done with him yet. It was clear to Nielle that he was furious, but he himself had certain limits by which he allowed himself to be personally humiliated by the king, and three slaps were enough.
He knew his father's throughs, he knew his punishments and was prepared for them. There was nothing the king could do on such small matters that would really harm him, and while it wasn't pleasant for Nielle, it was still no big deal.
He didn't break any law, he didn't do anything wrong...the only thing he was guilty of was lying to the king that Shane was fine. And he can't even prove it...that's why he assumed that the punishment he would receive would be nothing unbearable.
Louis was waiting in the hallway but didn't think Nielle would get out so soon. Looking at brother's scratched face and bleeding lip, after a while he handed him a handkerchief with a sigh.
Nielle pulled his own from his pocket and stated, "I believe you have more important things to do than to wait for that jerk to punish me."
"Nielle...don't talk about our father like that, he'll hear you," Louis said
"Let him hear," Nielle muttered and pressed the handkerchief to his lip, "one proper assassination and there would be peace."
"Nielle!" Louis raised his voice.
"I didn't say anything," Nielle growled and walked away again.
"Wait, what did he say to you?" Louis asked, walking closer to him.
"Nothing important... I told him to send me the instruction of the punishment by someone," he explained.
"It won't be anything harsh," Louis reassured him.
"I don't need encouragement," Nielle retorted, but his brother didn't let him.
"Nielle, did you really go overboard with him?" Louis asked.
Nielle stopped and looked at his brother, "Lui, don't you think it's weird, how perfect was the timing of his collapse, or did you just have a bad night's sleep?"
Louis sighed deeply, "I guess he doesn't like you very much." He grabbed his forehead, unintentionally dropping the handkerchief from his hand.
"The main is that Iwi loves you," Nielle laughed and looked at Lacrisan behind Louis.
"Don't be jealous," Iuwin picked up the handkerchief and handed it to Louis.
Nielle laughed softly, "Don't worry, Iwi, I believe if I bid high enough, Louis would lend you to me for the night," he raised his corners.
"If Prince Louis sees fit to do that, be my guest, until it happens, keep dreaming." Iuwine didn't bother.
"Enough," Louis shook his head, "Even though I know you're joking, I'm not going to listen to such perversions...you're my brother, you should act like one." he frowned.
Nielle laughed softly, "It's because I'm your brother that I act the way I do," he stated.
"Nielle, go back to our father, preferably right away. He's going to be really upset," he pointed out, but Nielle ignored him and continued walking down the hall.
"Nielle!" he heard, but didn't answer.
He made his way through the corridors out to the yard and then to Elyan to talk to Shane. He wanted to know what he was trying to achieve by collapsing in front of the king and whether it was really an attempt to sabotage him. Because if so, Nielle was sure that their coexistence would be even more interesting.

After the doctor woke him with some nasty smelling cream, Shane felt even worse than when he collapsed. He sat on the bed in the doctor's room in Elyan's house and waited. Elyan measured his pulse in silence, and Shane wondered what he wanted to find out by that. Anyway, he didn't say anything.
It hadn't been long at all since he had regained consciousness, but Elyan looked as if he expected him to be completely sane, and as soon as he finished examining him, he began to question him.
"When was the last time you ate?
"I don't know, in Lacris." He said.
"Does it hurt anywhere?"
"Everywhere." He clarified.
Elyan looked at him, "Boy, if everything hurts you, I would bring out different kind of tools."
Shane stared at him for a moment before saying, "You can ask Prince Nielle where it hurts…he'll tell you better than I," he was sure.
"What did he do to you?" Brelle asked sitting next to him.
Shane looked at him, "Apart from draining half of my luck, nothing worth mentioning," he said.
"You don't look like you lack it," Elyan looked at the compass he used to measure Shane's luck a moment ago.
"When you lose one out of five liters of blood, you still have enough of it, but it won't do you any good, right?" he tried to explain in a way that the doctor would hopefully understand.
"So you're just exhausted," Brelle stated.
"Prince Brelle," Elyan looked at him, "what I was saying about underestimating easy sounding diagnoses...even yesterday."
"I'm sorry," Brelle reminded himself, "So you're seriously exhausted." he amended as someone knocked loudly on the door.
"Oh...I hope it's not another kid...I had enough," Elyan sighed and went to open the door, leaving Brelle and Shane alone.
After a while, however, he returned with Nielle: "Of course I guessed right," Elyan said and stood next to Shame again, "just so you know, he's a patient right now...and in my house, the patient is protected." he reminded Nielle.
"I know," Nielle smiled, "why do you all think I really overdo it with him?" he laughed and looked at Shane, "Say, did you do it on purpose?"
"No," Shane said bluntly, as he had no reason to admit anything.
"You know it doesn't matter if you admit it, the king is pissed off ...the trouble you were talking about yesterday have more or less worked out for you, congratulations," he smiled and bent down to Shane sitting on the bed.
"It wasn't the goal, but it's a pleasure," Shane commented.
Nielle laughed softly and sat down next to his Lacrisan, "I hope it'll be worth what I'm going to do to you next," he gently ran a finger along his shoulder, towards his neck, causing Shane to move to the side in irritation.
"Nielle!" Brelle raised his voice.
"He earned me another thoughtless punishment from the king, it's only fair that I think one through for him, isn't it?" Nielle explained.
"After all that you did to him?" Brelle frowned.
"What did I do to him?" Nielle was amused, "I got him for fun...a few rapes, some blood, some whipping...nothing a normal Lacrisan couldn't stand."
"The Lacrisans are not for fun," Brelle said quite calmly.
"Okay, that's enough!" Elyan raised his voice, after which the princes fell silent, "I don't care what happened to him, he didn't eat anything, he's weakened... he has the right conditions for collapse... so calm down," he said, "Prince Nielle, you will accept the punishment for your foolish fun, and Brella, you don't get involved in things that don't concern you," he clarified.
"That's why I quite like you, Elyan," Nielle laughed, "you're not on anyone's side."
"I'm on the patient's side...that's why I believe the king will give you some punishment, which will allow him to get some time off from your treatment," he clarified.
He had barely finished speaking when there was another sharp knock on the door. Elyan sighed deeply, went to open it, and returned after a while with a pair of guards. The guys held a sheaf of paper which they read.
"Prince Nielle, for his impudent behavior towards the king, leaving the hall without permission and not fulfilling the king's orders, will be locked up in the dungeon for two days, after the stay he is obliged to apologize to the king and not to repeat similar mistakes again. His monthly salary is deducted by half for a quarter. By the orders of the king you're going with us, Your Highness. " he said.
Nielle looked at them and laughed, "When did he manage to dictate that? Did he have it prescribed? He certainly did," he wouldn't be surprised.
"Dungeon?" Shane was surprised.
"Your Highness, come with us," the guard instructed again.
Nielle sighed deeply and walked out of the room, "Don't worry, Lacrisan, we'll have fun sooner than you think," he looked at Shane with a soft half-smile.
Shane looked at Brell in confusion, "In your country, princes are usually locked up in a dungeon? I thought only house arrest was practiced...or kneeling in the hall and similar punishments as in Lacris."
Brelle nodded, "Partly yes...if I did something, the king would disciplined me by those punishment...if it was Louis he wouldn't punish him at all...but Nielle...the king will always punish him according to his mood...in the past he even left him without luck for a week...a few times he had him flogged…the king and Nielle aren't very fond of each other." he said.
If you encounter this narrative on Amazon, note that it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
"The King and Nielle are both idiots who don't know what to do with their free time," Elyan commented as he put away his supplies.
"Week without luck? I don't understand." Shane wondered.
"It doesn't seem like much to you, but it's a dangerously long time for us," Brelle explained, "ordinary Rinselians can last longer, but our royal family runs out of luck very quickly and without replenishment we're in trouble almost immediately. That time, everyone was trying to calm down king's anger but once he comes up with something, no one will talk him out of it...I don't know how Nielle even survived it..." he said.
"How long can you last without luck?" Shane asked.
Brelle laughed softly, "If you didn't ask as if you wanted to take advantage of it, I would give you an answer," he laughed and walked over to Elyan.
Shane stared at them for a moment before changing the subject and said, "You have a very nice necklace, it reminds me of the ring I saw on Nielle."
Brelle looked at it and gently touched the big black pendant hanging on his neck, "Thank you." He smiled, but didn't talk about it.
Having finally what he wanted and getting two days without Nielle, Shane intended to use them to get what he came here for...or one of the things he needed. And since Prince Brelle didn't seem like a complicated target, he intended to start with him.
After all, what could possibly go wrong when Nielle is finally gone?"

After watching sleeping Rue for a while, Ylre quietly disappeared from the room. Practically since they entered this tea house, he was filled with the feeling that something was wrong with it. So he took the opportunity to explore the lower parts of this place where he smelled blood upon entering. He didn't think he'd be wrong, as he had this kind of smell etched in his memory really precisely.
After descending the stairs, he looked around the dark entrance room and immediately headed behind the reception desk, to the area behind it. He reached the warehouse, where the smell of blood was interrupted by the teas, but Ylre's nose was not fooled. He slowly made his way to the back and stopped at one of the shelves from which the smell was emanating.
At times like this, Ylre was grateful for the training that he had received as every middle-class Infey to ensure that no danger would get through to his supreme Infey.
He fumbled around the edges of the shelves for a while, trying to see if he could find any opening devices, before he realized it was a simple disguised door and opened it a little. He smiled softly and entered the underground, the air of which seeped with blood even more intensely than the rest of the tea house.
When he reached the end of the corridor, he stopped in a relatively well-equipped room, which at first glance really looked like a warehouse. He slowly walked over to the bags in front of him and after looking through them for a while he peered into one. As he scraped off the top layer of tea, his gaze ended on the bloody body of a guy who clearly hadn't been here the first day. He slowly closed the bag and opened the one next to it. Although it still contained teas, Ylre was able to find another guy underneath.
He saw only a half of the bodies, but even from that he could tell that they didn't end up in the most pleasant way. Numerous cuts and blunt injuries with other signs of torture indicated that they had been interrogated by someone who knew what he was doing well enough.
Ylre looked through a few more bags and found that there were more people than he thought, all with the similar look. That only confirmed to Ylre that it was one group of people...as well that this tea house belonged to someone who was catching them.
Be that as it may, he wasn't going to leave Rue in a similar establishment any longer than necessary...and that was tonight.
A loud slam of the door forced Ylre to turn back. His gaze stopped at the door through which he entered and he raised his eyebrows in surprise as someone had just closed it. He heard the sound of the keys, which made it clear that someone had locked it on purpose.
"You shouldn't have come here," Ylre heard a grunt from the other side, "your bad luck." he didn't sound enthusiastic.
Ylre took a moment to absorb the situation, looked around where there were no windows or other doors and laughed softly. He walked slowly to the door and simply reached behind his back where he could feel his precious sword. He quickly pulled it out, cut through the metal door and hid it back, since it wasn't in his best interest to take it out for any length of time...at least not yet...at least while there was a threat of Rue seeing him.
The door fell to the ground with a crash, and the guy who didn't have time to go far just stared at him in shock. Ylre looked at him amused and walked towards him with a dark smile on his face. The guy remained frozen for a moment before running towards the second door. However, Ylre didn't let him go far.
Before he could get out from behind the shelves into the storeroom, he pulled him back by his clothes. The guy fell to the ground and Ylre bowed to him. Even in the gloom, his red hair seemed to give a danger shine, reminding the man of a demon rather than a human being.
"W-Who are you?" The terror filled him as he tried to back down on the ground.
"Me? A traveler," Ylre laughed and took a step towards him, "the better question is who are you, don't you think? I said I smell blood here...who are those people in the back? Other travelers? I don't think so."
"Wh-why would you ask? It's not your business, " the guy doesn't want to say.
"Actually, I'm not interested...as long as it doesn't concern me, I don't care," Ylre said.
"Then...what did you come here for?"
"Someone sent us here...suspicious, isn't it?" He smiled darkly, ,,If I was alone, I wouldn't care, but today I'm not alone," he slowly bent down to the guy on the ground, "so you see, it's not about me. Say, who sent us here? I know it wasn't the idea of that jerk with the carriage," he continued.
"I don't know what you're talking about..." the guy lied.
Ylre let out a deep sigh and straightened up, grabbing the guy by the collar. He began to drag him back to the room with the bags, where he also saw some nice tools, "Don't worry, you'll remember."

When Rue woke up, a familiar scented candle was waiting for him on the nightstand. He stretched contentedly and looked at the ground where he expected to see Ylre, but there was no sign of him.
At that moment, however, the door opened and a red-haired young man walked in, "Good morning, did you sleep well?" Ylre smiled.
"Very well," Rue nodded smiling, "what are those clothes?" he sat down.
"You tore them yesterday, I sewed them up for you." Ylre handed Rue his outer robe and sat next to him on the bed.
"You sewed it?" Rue blinked in surprise and looked at the nicely sewn piece of cloth, which had almost no trace of being cut yesterday, "When did you manage to do it?"
"I wake up early," Ylre said, "I'll sew up that one later." he looked at Rue's torn clothes he slept in.
"Thank you," Rue said with a grateful smile and stood up, "sometimes I will repay your kindness, I promise." he stated.
"There is no need," Ylre argued, "There will never be any debts between us, take it for granted." he said.
"We just met," Rue laughed and gently tossed the robe over himself.
"I feel like I've known you all my life," Ylre remarked, plopping down on the bed contentedly.
"Sometimes Luck brings two people together... when you feel like you've known someone all your life, it means that luck has always planned it for you, " he said.
Ylre laughed softly: "Really? I think there is another option."
"What kind?" he didn't understand.
Ylre laughed softly: "You had to answer that yourself. I can't tell you now," he pointed out.
Rue blinked slightly, but after a while he also smiled and said: "Should I guess?"
"You can." Ylre nodded.
"Hm," Rue thought, but came up with nothing, "I can't think of anything...when you feel like you know someone...it's because of luck," he said, "ah, I know! I know," he cheered, "or because you understand each other enough to see yourself in him...so you feel like you've known him all your life," deduced, "Is that right, Ylre?"
"It is, but that's not my case with you," Ylre said, "it's nothing but a little ridle. What would you say if we talk on the way? I bought breakfast...it's time to go." he smiled and when Rue nodded, they walked out of the room.
,,Where are we going?" Rue didn't know amd followed him.
They slowly walked through the empty tea house and went out when Rue asked, "I wanted to thank the owner, where did he go?"
"I greeted him for both of us, you don't have to worry," he said, handing Rue a cloth-wrapped pastry with fruit in the middle, "enjoy your meal."
The unsuspecting Rue didn't see anything strange about the situation, so he thanked and took a bite of the cake enthusiastically before heading out of the village with Ylre, "Shall we go by carriage?"
"No need, it's not far, we'll walk," Ylre said.
"Nothing is too far for us to walk," he smiled, "should I keep guessing?" Rue asked, but Ylre only laughed softly.
"Anytime, but before that I wanted to give you something," he said, stopping as he suddenly remembered what he wanted.
Rue stared at him before Ylre held out his hand with the two dice they had been playing with yesterday, "Would you like to keep one?" he asked in a way that sounded both more serious than usual and tender, as if he was giving something close to his heart.
"Me?" he didn't understand, "Why?"
"You liked the game...yesterday," he said, ,,you liked them."
"I liked them, but they're not mine," he objected.
"If you want, they will be, just say," Ylre nodded.
Since Ylre sounded unusually serious, Rue didn't know how to answer, so he gently extended his fingers to the dice, "Once I take one, you won't have anyone to play with anymore," he said.
"I'll have you," Ylre's blue eyes were looking tenderly to his golden, "I wouldn't play with anyone else anyway." he pointed out.
"Don't talk nonsense," Rue smiled at the unusually nice things Ylre was saying today and after thinking for a moment he asked, "do you really want me to have one?"
"I wouldn't offer them to you if I didn't want to," Ylre said, "So, what do you say? Gold, black? Which one do you like better?"
"Gold," Rue said after a moment and when Ylre handed it to him, he looked at it with a pure happiness, "Thank you."
Dim memories of a very similar situation flashed through Ylre's head, to which he only smiled gently, "Take care of it...it's our first thing we share, " he pointed out.
"True," Rue nodded, tucking it into his inner pocket, "You're my first friend I've made here. No matter how long we've known each other...I appreciate every single thing you'll share with me." he said happily.
Ylre stared at him silently for a moment before suppressing the many internal urges he felt compelled to do at that moment that came right to him and finally just smiled softly.
"I will share with you whatever you wish, Rue," he said his name in a way that would perhaps have surprised Rue how much tenderness he put into him, if he had not been interested in something else.
"Ylre, is that blood?" he looked at the young man's collar, the fabric of which was red, but in one place he thought he saw more burgundy spots.
Ylre looked at his clothes and blinked in surprise, "Yes...I don't know when it got there.
"When we find some herbs and a lake along the way, I'll wash it for you, what do you say?" Rue suggested and continued the walk.b
Ylre stepped behind him and nodded, "I don't think we will arrive anywhere today, it will be best if we spend the night somewhere by the lake, so there will be an opportunity," he said.
"Are we spending the night outside?" he was surprised.
"You wanted to try it, didn't you?" Ylre smiled.
"I still do, I haven't slept under the stars in a long time," he cheered.
Ylre nodded, contentedly looking at his happy smile. As soon as he turned to the part that should be used to get out of the village without being noticed by the guards, who gave him a lot of trouble before he figured out how to unnoticed disappear through them, he said, "Me neither."

Despite how weak Shane really felt, it wasn't unbearable. He was sure that if he got a night or two of normal sleep without the exhausting sex he had been force to undergo the last two nights, he would be fine. Therefore, he was really pleased that Nielle would be in the dungeon for exactly two nights.
When Elyan finally finished treating him, Shane was given permission to leave. However, Prince Brelle offered to lead him to the room.
Shane looked at him for a moment, wondering if it was worth making a move and trying to get a little something from him or not to risk it and postpond it for better time. However, since he didn't know if there would be a more suitable time, he chose to act.
As they walked down the path to the gardens and reached a park where they had to walk through the trees, Shane stumbled and grabbed Prince Brell's clothes, stopping him. He gently held his head and pretended not to be feeling his best again, which worked enough for the prince to lean towards him naively.
,,What's going on? Are you still sick? Do you want to go back to Elyan?" he asked and lightly grabbed Shane's forehead, as if he was afraid that he had caught a fever.
Shane took advantage of his closeness and took a step forward. He bumped into him, knocking them both off balance before the prince could catch him. Their bodies fell to the ground, Shane ending up on top of Brelle, who just blinked in surprise in the grass and didn't move for a moment as Shane didn't move.
"I'm sorry," Shane spun violently to the side trying to get off his body, but Brelle wouldn't let him and gently caught him. He slowly sat down and leaned against the tree behind him, "I have a weird day today." he lied.
"You look really pale, let's go back to Elyan," he grabbed his forehead again and gently moved to his cheeks.
Shane, who hid stolen black pendant in his pocket, gently brushed prince's fingers off his skin and slowly got to his feet, "No need, I'll sleep and I'll better, thanks," he smiled.
As he didn't allow himself to be talked into visiting Elyan, the prince finally had no choice but to lead him to the palace, to a room where a bunch of Lacrisans were waiting for him. He then went back to his own work.
"Shane… what did you do?" one Lacrisan asked.
"Me?" Shane didn't understand.
"Prince Nielle is said to be in a dungeon," another said.
"That's right, the king had him locked up, I didn't do anything, I just felt nauseous in front of him, nothing more," Shane said and went to the bed.
"Who is the prince going to take?" one asked frightened.
"I don't want to be with him for two days," whined one on the bed.
"Last time he took you, what if he wants me now?"
"Don't panic...Shane," one Lacrisan knelt by his bed, "Did the king say he can't have access to luck? If he did, he won't take any of us for two days." he said.
"He didn't say that." Shane would remember.
His words threw everyone in the room into a palpable nervousness, whereupon Shane asked, "What's going on?"
"Every time Prince Nielle ends up in a dungeon, he takes one of us with him," one said.
"To the dungeon?" Shane asked in confusion.
"The dungeons belong to Prince Nielle …all of them…of course he can do whatever he wants there." another said.
Shane got up angrily, "Damn," he forgot about this detail and went out of the room.
"Where are you going?" one Lacrisan.
But Shane didn't stop. Because he knew that if he stayed here, Nielle's words would start to make sense and they would really meet sooner than he thought. He wasn't going to wait here for Nielle to call him and force him to spend the next two days with him, definitely not when he finally had a chance to fulfill some duties.
However, just as he was at the door, about to hide somewhere, he bumped into a member of Nielle's guard. He cursed under his breath as the guy looked at him.
"The new Lacrisan, the prince demands your presence," he stated, grabbing Shane's forearm.
"Shit," he snapped, "like why...he can't be serious." he didn't believe his bad luck these days.
However, the guy didn't answer and simply grabbed him again. When Shane immediately broke free, the guard took out the collar and waved it in front of Lacrisan in warning, "I have permission to use this if necessary."
Shane gritted his teeth and subconsciously clenched his fingers around the black pendant in the inner pocket of his robe. Only now had he acquired it… although it was the least important of all his duties, it was still more than he had accomplished in two days. When he goes to Nielle and he finds out what's in his pocket...all his efforts will be in vain.
"Choose," the guard said.
And though he really didn't want to, Shane had no choice and so, to the relief of the other Lacrisans, he irritably made his way to the dungeons. Because apparently luck really was playing tricks on him with no intention of stopping anytime soon...and Shane was beginning to realize that nothing could go his way in this country.
***
After the king's servant led Nielle to the dungeons, locked him up, and made sure he wouldn't be comfortable for the next two days, he let him alone.
It wasn't the first time that Nielle ended up in a dungeon on the king's orders, so he knew that his servant wouldn't be coming here anytime soon. Actually, the king almost never showed up in the dungeons. When the air was clear, one of the guards let Nielle out of the cell.
"That moron, if he continue to piss me off, I'll have him locked up here, it doesn't matter that he's the king," he growled and read a report from his guards, which he didn't have time for today because of the audience. One of them was a report from a village near Alicante about a failed surveillance of suspects , the second contained information about his new Lacrisan, which he had sent from Laris by spies and arrived after two days.
"Sir...shall I prepare your rooms or not?"
one of the executioners asked.
Nielle thought for a moment. His rooms in the dungeons were basically nice clean rooms similar to his own chambers, where he would sometimes endure the King's punishments if he had a lot of administrative work to do. However, he mostly didn't stay here and took advantage of the time he wasn't under the king's supervision and went out of the city.
And since the situation in the village where he wanted to temporarily detain Infeys was not the best, he decided to visit it.
"I'm leaving, let that idiot who thought he would get rid of me if he collapsed in front of the king be brought here," he said and read slowly very interesting information about Shane's past that was more remarkable than he he thought.
Anyway, he wasn't going to let his new Lacrisan do whatever he wanted here in his absence. His duty was still, though the king probably forgot it as always, to protect Rinsel from Lacris's spies. And Shane was clearly one of them.
And since no one else had the skills to control him...at least no better than himself, he intended to take him with him. After all, he has to repay him for the trouble he created so well today.
