Luck in gifts

Luck in gifts

Alycante was a city in which everything was decided by luck. It didn't matter how much money a person had, it didn't matter how noble he was. If he wasn't lucky enough, he didn't get better treatment in Alycante than the one who really was.

As a city not belonging to the government, it was absolutely not worried about the habits of the nobility. Since Alycante was guided by the Church of Luck, that is, Infey itself, whose concern wasn't about money, everything that was happening in the city was purely about the luck of visitors. Not even the king could do anything with the system. Not that he wanted.

For ordinary people, however, Alycante was a place where they were able to be at the same level as their nobles for at least a moment. If they were lucky enough.

However, although the Lacrisians were in the advantage in Alycante, Ylre knew that no one of the people present was above him. The first thing he did before entering the city was to buy wide straw hats. As it was a heat outside and at least partially they were able to hide their identity, it represented both practical and pleasing tools. At least for Rue pleasing, as he started having fun with the hat immediately, as if he had never seen any.

And so they went to the city prepared.

The entrance to Alycante hasn't been closed or supervised by soldier. The whole city was freely accessible, calm and no one has caused problems for centuries there. However, there were patrols in the city itself.

As soon as they went through the gate, each of them focused on something else. Ylre planned where it would be best to hide at night while Rue went to nearby stalls. Ylre barely kept up with him as he was enthusiastic again.

Ylre, however, wasn't surprised by his behavior. Alycante showed itself as truly splendid city. Not only was it unusually clean, full of music, colors and free atmosphere, but its streets, houses and everything was decorated with gold.

The Immaculate High -quality Gold, which didn't represent any rarity in Infey, was the aim of the envy of the countless places that the government barely held on the kick, not even decorated the streets with a valuable metal. However, the Church was powerful and whealthy enough.

"If you have luck, you can do everything ... If you believe in luck, you will get luck ... luck is the way to happiness..." so sounded the main church words that filled the atmosphere of Alycante all day.

However, not all habits in Alycante were harmless. Some were explicitly annoying and dangerous, and Ylre was given the impression that if another person address him wanting to compare luck with him, he would kill someone.

Everyone in Alycante had the urge to compare luck. As soon as one in this city nodded, he had to fulfill the winner wish. Not that he literally had to, but since the whole city was bound by the laws of the Church, and the whole Church was followed by the fact that a person with higher luck could control people with less, he was usually forced to do so.

Usually the winner wanted money, luck or assistance in a work.

If a person who lost didn't want to fulfill the wish, he could be reported to the priests amd then could get to the blacklist of the Church with which countless disadvantages came.

Therefore, it wasn't clever to accept the challenges and Ylre ignored them, although he would win. He couldn't afford to be reported to the Church if something happened. Not when he was with Rue who everyone in Alycante was looking for.

,, Buy a compass! Buy a compass ... Welcome, buy a compass ... "

Ylre wasn't listening but Rue stopped as always and looked at a lot of compasses. It was slowly getting dark outside, as they walked almost all day and Ylre would like to find a place to stay overnight. However, he didn't intend to take Rue's joy of getting to know the places, so he waited.

"I don't have a compass," Rue said, adding, "I don't think I would use it, but they're nice."

"All are of good quality. Let luck to choose one." The businessman said and nodded to a large crystal in the middle of the counter.

"What's that?" Rue didn't understand.

"You weren't in Alycante yet?" The guy asked.

"No." Rue clarified, so the guy said.

,,It will tell what kind of things you can buy. If luck loves you and wishes you, you'll get offers from which you can choose, it's a classic system in the city, "he said," The more luck, the better the choice. "

"In that case, I probably won't be able to buy nice things," Rue said, and looked at the crystal.

,,A number of Rinselans think so, but don't be fooled, as luck loves you, it's not always comparable to how much luck you have. Many have a lot of luck from their Lacrisans, but they can't buy anything because luck doesn't love them. But many of those without Lacrisans and without luck are the loved ones and can buy better things. Try." He said.

Although the words were really reasonable, Rue wasn't sure whether the logic covered him, since part of his connection with luck was destroyed, and he had no way to find out if luck loves him. He couldn't get anything from luck, although he could feel the connection.

"Will you try?" The guy asked.

"I will," Rue nodded, although he wasn't sure if he wanted to know the result.

"Just drip the blood on the crystal." The guy nodded to a box with the needles that Rue gave a look at and took one.

He dripped blood on the crystal which transparency changed to brown. Then it turned into red, orange and after a while it was yellow. In confusion of what happened, Rue looked at Ylre next to him who smiled gently and declared:

"Good results," he clarified, "you can buy a nice compass."

"But how is it possible?" Rue didn't understand.

"It is a common result, yellow is a middle standart. Luck accompanies you and although you don't have the best luck, you have enough," he said.

"I don't have it at all." Rue laughed, knowing it was true and looked uncomprehendingly at the crystal.

"With yellow, you can have some of the compasses of the lower and your category, you can buy any of them." He nodded to compasses.

"Thank you." Rue was looking forward and looked at Ylre beside.

Ylre, who was the only one to know what was going on here, smiled lightly, and when Rue asked him about his opinion, he pointed out the beautiful diamond compass, "No other is suitable for you."

He looked at a compass for a while, which wasn't in his category and laughed, "Beautiful, but I can't buy it. Although I had very similar in the past."

"This one, no one has ever been able to buy it. It's more of an exhibition," the salesman laughed and nodded to a stone shop behind, "there is a lot of compasses inside, this one is the most precious of them, we attract customers with it," he laughed, ,,but you can visit our store."

"No, thank you," Rue smiled and pointed to one of the compasses, "I'll take this one, it's nice."

"White gold, an excellent choice." He said, and after Rue paid they went away.

"If you say, I can buy you better," Ylre clarified, but Rue didn't want to.

Although Rue didn't understand how he could even be lucky to get the one he bought, Ylre knew that Rue had just used all the luck he had given him in a wine cup. Rue used a bit in their dice game, a bit to heal his injury. Ylre knew he really didn't have more luck. And even Rue could feel it, although he couldn't explain the changes.

In all this time he was used to not having luck, and although he felt the last days as if he had some, he still got used to his lack again.

"So everything in this city is decided by luck. Even housing and food?" Rue wondered.

"Yes," Ylre nodded, "If someone isn't lucky, he can't buy anything. Many people are unable to live here, but again, this isn't a place to live. It belongs to the church and the church is trying to show people the importance of luck over money and titles, so it isn't expected to live here for a long time. They want to teach them."Ylre clarified and stopped at one inn," What if we stayed and relax? We walked all day. "

"I agree."

"I will take the room for us," Ylre added.

They came to a long reception, where Ylre said, "I want a room for at least two three nights, or longer." He knew they were clearly reported from the cave and knew that the patrols in Alycante will be looking for them.

He assumed that they would look everywhere, but it was unlikely that they would focus mainly on Alycante, where it wasn't logical to go, not to stay longer. However, Ylre intended to take the chance to hide here for a few days, at least until the patrols on the roads around the cave and Alycante were reduced.

The guy at the reception nodded to the stone at the counter, "Ask luck which room you get," he said.

Ylre took one of the needles, stabbed his finger, and dripped a little blood to the crystal, which in a second lit up white. The guy closed his eyes as the light hurted his eyes and blinkled in confusion, as it didn't happen for a long time that someone's luck achieved the best level.

However, since Alycante was no place where people would ask for unnecessary details, the guy wasn't interested in who Ylre is and nodded to the rooms, "They are all available to you."

"I'll take one of the middle ones," he clarified.

The guy didn't consider strange that someone with such luck doesn't take the best rooms, as not everyone had enough money. He pulled out the key from the hanger, had him paid and added.

"An escort?" The guy looked at Rue with Ylre.

"Yes." Ylre took the key.

When they reached the door, they walked in, locked and light up the room lanterns. They came to the main part of the room, made up of a spacious bedroom. To the right was a double bed on which sides stood bedside tables. A moonlight passed through the window and illuminated the wooden bath filled with daily-changed water bellow.

"Nice." Rue was happy to have a place to sleep while Ylre just nodded.

"I'll let you bring some food or do you want to go somewhere?" He asked.

"I'm not hungry," Rue lay on the bed and laughed lightly how nice it was to be in someone's company on a pleasant journey, "but if you are, we can go somewhere."

"No need," Ylre knew they shouldn't show up anywhere in the evening in case they encounter someone, as Alycante was filled with Infeys.

He sat down by Rue, who pulled his white compass and opened it. He knew how compasses work, but it was a long time he used it, and hesitated. After a while, however, he put his finger to the small needle at the crystals down and waited. The stone was lightly reddish, after a while it turned yellow, swirled white and changed again to brown...through red, orange, yellow and again.

Rue blinked confusedly and looked at the compass hand that usually showed the direction where luck was waiting for a person.

"Strange." He added.

Ylre frowned dissatisfied at the compass in which the hand began to spin without a tendency to stop. He looked at it for a while, then at Rue, who seemed that it didn't bother him, but Ylre knew how he really felt. He sat in silence for a while, looking at the rotating hand that only confirmed Rue that luck wasn't waiting anywhere for him.

"It'll be just broken," he said and easily approached him, "I will fix it for you, can I?" he asked.

Rue gave him the compass, the stone went transparent again, the hand stopped moving. Ylre touched the hand with his finger and although he didn't do anything, he looked like he did. He handed the compass back to Rue and touched him lightly. However, as soon as Rue wanted to pull away, as he wasn't used to it and thought that Ylre just wasn't aware he was touching his shoulder, Ylre said.

"Try now," He put it in his palm.

Although he didn't know what had changed, Rue felt that something might be different, he put his finger back to the stone's needle and lit it up again. As soon as the hand moved, he even forgot that Ylre was touching him lightly and laughed contentedly.

"How did you do it?" Rue didn't understand and smiled happily.

A crystal that wasn't able to set up on a color, was yellow, a hand that couldn't stop, now showed a clear direction, as if it were really just a mistake that Ylre solved. And in fact he didn't lie at all.

"Sometimes the compass broke." Ylre clarified.

"But how nice, see," laughed Rue, "it points to you." He didn't know what it meant, but it felt incredibly pleasing. As if luck was telling him to stay by his side.

Ylre pulled his own compass and put his finger in it. The crystal glowed into the yellow, the hand stopped in Rue's direction and Ylre smiled, "Luck binds us together.

Rue's eyes were filled with pure happiness, "Do you think it's true?" Rue asked, "Really?"

"I will believe it does, cause I want to be with you," Ylre said, ,,what about you?"

"I believe in luck," Rue nodded as he didn't understand where Ylre was heading, "But why is your stone yellow? Below it was white?" He didn't understand and looked at Ylre's compass.

"Luck's unpredictable. One day it loves you, the next day it slams the door." Ylre said, as if he was filled with anger for a while.

Since Rue realized that the words were true for him, he closed his compass and said, "It's not a luck's mistake. We just don't understand."

Ylre pulled out of Rue lightly, the stone in his compass turned white in a second, but before Rue noticed Ylre his the compass.

He wanted to add something when someone knocked on the door. Ylre went to open, looked at the guy behind, and asked, "What do you want?"

Ylre wasn't pleased to be interrupted but he waited to find out what the guy wanted before slamming the door.

,,Good evening, as new tenants, we must remind you of the laws of the city. You have to know there is a curfew during night. So stay indoor. Other rules and program of the week are all written here, good night. "One of the employees said.

Ylre took the paper, slammed the door, reached the bed and said.

"Do you want to know what is going to be in this stupid city this week?" He gave Rue the paper.

"Of course," he smiled and began to read, "Birthday ceremony."

"Whose?" Ylre didn't know.

,,Miss Zoye, I don't know. She organizes a birthday festival. It will take three days and three nights. There will be a tournament in several disciplines in which everyone can attend regardless of status. Every day it is possible to win one of the three prizes, which are exceptionally rare this year, the prizes are the ring-" Rue stuck and uncomprehendingly read to himself.

"What are the prizes?" Ylre wasn't interested, but he didn't understand why Rue stopped.

"Golden ring with diamond font, incalculable value, found two hundred years ago is considered a remnant of the lost country of the Infey. High quality ring will be in ..." Rue folded the paper on the bed and blinked in confusion before he laughed lightly, ,,why is it here? I don't understand, it shouldn't be, right?"

Ylre took the paper and frowned as he was filled with pure fury. The ring about witch Rue read wasn't something people found two hundred years ago. The ring created by luck directly for the son of the king, was one of the kind and couldn't be found here.

Although Rue fell from his position, although his things became a national treasure that nobody used, they were locked in the treasury in Infey. It wasn't possible for someone to find them on the ground in humam world and leave it to ordinary people in a competition.

Enjoying the story? Show your support by reading it on the official site.

"Unacceptable, " Ylre growled, what anger filled him.

"It must be fake," Rue said, as he didn't believe someone would really throw his ring somewhere.

Although he was in a cell for two hundred years, although he was a prisoner, although his life was really unpleasant, he still cared about the past. He cared about what luck gave him, he cared about everything he ever had and his ring was one of those things he hadn't given up, although he had no longer the opportunity to see it. Rue through it must be fake.

Ylre, however, knew it wasn't and the other prizes that were on the next day program just confirmed that the whole competition was just an incredibly disgusting way to lure them out.

"What are the other prizes?" Rue asked in the hope that it would be something else.

Ylre tried to say something, but Rue easily took the paper and read, "Diamond sword ..." laughed Rue desperately and went through the last prize, "and-" Rue clenched his teeth and put the paper on the bed. He blinked lightly and moved his eyes from the wall to the furniture, as he couldn't understand.

"Why they're doing it?" He didn't know.

In anger, Ylre glared at the paper with the third prize.

Diamond compass.

Not the compass that could be bought in the stand, not the one the human eye has ever seen...but the real compass that belonged to the highest Infey since birth. Namely one Infey, who hadn't use it for two hundred years.

Ylre didn't know what to say not to reveal his identity and at the same time to calm Rue, as he seemed to be really out of his calm first time after a long time.

For Rue, it was as if Infey had completely kicked him out, as if he had completely lost his home. And although he had been locked up in it for the last two hundred years, although he didn't think he would ever live in it as before, he was still holding it in his heart. Because he believed that luck didn't give up on him completely. But if Infey, if luck allows his home to give up the last things he had. Will it still be his home? And if not, where will his home be?

Rue knew that nowhere. Although he knew it all along, he hadn't admitted it yet. And currently had no choice but to try to accept the fact that his things would be the prize for some of the ordinary people who didn't have the right to such things. None of them...and non of other Infeys.

It was painful and humiliating and Rue didn't know what to do with it. He just sat on the bed, knowing that Infey had left him and was going to humiliate him before everyone. As if he was never anything for them. That the things that luck gave and were proof that he had a real connection with it once, Infey just threw out.

As he suddenly lost himself in his thoughts and didn't know what to do to prevent it,his back was slightly touched by a Ylre's hand. His touch forced him to jerk with the attempt to get up as he didn't want anyone to touch him. At the same time, however, it gently calmed him and so he didn't move and waited for what will happened as it was quite pleasant.

"If you want," Ylre knew it was a trap, he knew the wisest would be if they didn't get involved, "I'll get them for you." He said nevertheles.

All his rational thoughts receded into the background as the sight of Rue's discomfort made him unable to suppress the urge to kill those who made him look so sad.

Although he hesitated for a while whether his suggestion was right, after Rue looked at him surprised, with his golden eyes glittered hope as for a moment they really focused on him, Ylre's doubts disappeared and he couldn't hesitate.

For the feeling he got when Rue truly saw him as more than just a casual acquaintance, when he relied on him and when he allowed him to help him. That was why he lived, for those moments when he could be useful, for those moments that were the only thing that really mattered. As always, even now, no matter what had happened in the past, and no matter what would happened. Ylre knew that some Infey assassins couldn't stand in his way of making Rue happy.

***

As soon as Shane woke up, he was lying in a Lacrisan room. He was confused for a while until he sat on an uncomfortable bed and frowned as sharp pain shot from his ass. He didn't know how he got here as his thoughts were filled with yesterday's night with Nielle.

He remembered that he was lying on Nielle's bed and didn't want to get up how tired he was. However, Nielle had other plans, and instead of letting him sleep in a comfortable bed he kicked him down.

"For today we are over, get out of the room." He said and sat on the bed alone.

Shane was sitting on the ground for a while, sighed hurt and looked at Niella in anger. At that moment, after another disgusting experience for a moment even forgot that he was bound by a black collar and in anger he stepped to the bed with the intention of punching Nielle's at least once. However, he didn't think of the situation and barely approached Nielle with a fierce look, Nielle sighed deeply and simply touched his black ring.

Shane didn't know more about himself. He was lying on the ground in agonic spasms. Shane pressed his nails in his throat and tried to breath, as he was filled with a familiar disgusting feeling, in which he couldn't even move.

He had the impression that the incentives lasted for years until he felt Nielle's touch on his body and heard his words:

"Disobedient Lacrisan. "He said and grabbed his neck roughly. Shane kicked him and knelt on the ground glared at Niella.

"B-bastard," he still didn't have enough air.

"Lacrisan," Nielle laughed, since his word came to him as a comparable curse and repeated, "Get out of the room, otherwise I will use it again ... and maybe we'll have a few more round," he laughed.

Shane was still furious for a while but stood up. He looked at Nielle and came out of the room without further words, slamming the door behind him.

He stood a half -naked for a while in the hallway, wondering why this prince was so incredibly difficult to handle, why he doesn't understand the agreements and why he thinks he owns the world. For a while he was wondering until he dressed and went to the Lacrisan's room, and practically as soon as he lay down, he fell asleep.

Several Lacrisans tried to ask him something, but Shane didn't mind them. He slept all night until breakfast, when the Lacrisans woke him.

"Shane ... are you okay?" One asked.

Shane looked at him, stood up and looked at the table with food: "I can't wait to get out of here." He said and went to the table to eat with other Lacrisans.

They simply welcomed him, some tried to encourage him, and some thanked him for taking their places again. Shane ignored them. He knew that Nielle wasn't going to take anyone else in the near future, as he tasted his luck.

But the Lacrisans obviously thought he was helping them voluntarily. Shane knew he would be stupid if he hadn't used it.

"You don't have to thank, better answer the questions." He said and took bread from a nearby basket.

"Ask anything."

"How often Nielle takes luck from you...or in general...how often does he need it?" He asked.

"We don't know," one started, "he takes some every day, sometimes more times, but I don't know how much he really needs."

"What about the night, which of you was in his room at night? How does he sleep? Does he have any particular habits?"He added, as Nielle's black ring would really come to his plans if he could get it.

For a while, it was silent until one of the Lacrisans, the oldest, clarified, "No one, Prince Nielle won't keep anyone in his room for the night. He never did."

"Never?" He didn't believe, "He didn't have any favorite or something like that?"

"No," Lacrisan rejected, "He used to took me to his chamber quite often, but he always sent me to the room when he was done with me. But we were usually in the torture chamber. And what about you?" He asked others.

"I wasn't at all in the prince's room, only in the torture room."

"Usually in torture chamber..."

"Yes ... I didn't go to his room."

"I went to his chamber in the morning, but in the evening he took me to the torture chamber, if at all."

"I went to his room once ... but he always sent me back when he finished."

Shane listened to the Lacrisans, but of many of whom served Niella for five years, no one has ever slept with Nielle in the same bed.

"Why?" Lacrisans asked Shane.

"It was only strange to me that he kicked me half -naked in the corridor, as if I was a used tool, bastard," he said.

"Nothing strange," said one, "Prince Brelle said he had no good experience with the Lacrisans. He won't let you sleep with him in one bed.

"He has some bad experience with Lacrisans?" Shane didn't understand.

"I don't know any details. We don't have many opportunities to talk to the princes about their lives." He said as if he wasn't even interested in what was true, since they were happy if they didn't even have to see any of the princes.

Shane saw that none of these people knew nothing, so he didn't ask more. As soon as he ate, a pair of black guards called Shane out. Shane knew he was supposed to travel to Alycante today, and although he wasn't excited about it, he intended to use this journey to find out some Nielle's weaknesses.

Since he had the impression that he was still at a disadvantage, he knew it wouldn't hurt if he found out what Nielle was afraid of, or something like that. It wasn't the fastest way to get along, but since the agreements failed and, he had to change something.

He was grateful that by his way to the carriages he could stop in the bath and the kitchen, in which he picked up food for the prince. Only then did he come to the carriages, where there were surprisingly more people than he expected.

The carriages were four. In one, the king sat, the princes sat in the other, the Lacrisans sat in the third, and in the fourth there were all things and a few king's servants. Around them ran a lot of people who were preparing things for the journey. As soon as Shane saw Niella, leaning on the wheel,he was filled with anger. Nielle also noticed him and laughed lightly, as if his view of him had improved his mood.

"Good morning Lacrisan, are you looking forward to a trip?" He asked, but Shane just ignored him and went into the carriage.

Nielle stayed amused while Louis came to him, "Did you quarrel?"

"Quarrel? With Lacrisan? You can only argue with people on the same level, the rest you rule. I don't care how he feels. "Nielle clarified.

"Nielle," Louis sighed and nodded to Iuwin to enter his carriage with Shane, "what did you do to him again?"

"Nothing special," Nielle laughed and went to the carriage without a word.

Louis followed him, and although he tried to mame Nielle talk to his Lacrisan better, Nielle didn't listen to him, looking out of the window. It took a while for Brelle to join them.

"How did you sleep?" Brelle sat down near Louis.

"Like always, Brelle, and you?" Louis smiled.

"I didn't sleep," he laughed, "Since Elyan isn't going with us, I spent the night by picking the medication, the books I want to read and mixing other medicines for the journey." He clarified.

"You'll be exhausted," Louis said.

"I won't," Brelle laughed, "And you, Nielle? Are you looking forward to the spa?"

Nielle, who almost forgot that he was actually going to the spa, said, "Of course." He didn't sound like that and he wasn't really. He was thinking about the news his man brought to him this morning.

Nielle stared out of the window for a while until he looked at Brelle and saw a black necklace on his neck. He looked like always, and Nielle laughed gently as his Lacrisan was fooled. He wasn't sure exactly what he wanted with black stones, but he didn't have time to deal with it, as there were more important things to which he he had to pay attention.

Louis and Brelle began to have fun while Nielle was waiting for the carriage to move. Fortunately, they didn't wait for a long time and Nielle breathed out gently.

"Nielle, you're not hungry?" Brelle pulled a berry carriage and small cakes.

"I'm not." He said.

While in one carriage he tried to ignore his two brothers, in the other, Shane sat with Iuwin.

Iuwine looked out for a while until Shane started, "Where are we going?"

"Alycante." Iuwine simplified.

"I know, but the reason?" Shane didn't understand.

"Miss Zoye will have a birthday, she invites us to celebrate. One of the reasons. Spa near Alycante are another, to treat Prince Niella. He said nothing to you? "Iuwine asked.

"No, you can't talk to him normally. The only thing he knows is to use us, he doesn't understand normal words." Shane said.

"Prince Nielle doesn't use us, he just hates us. He doesn't trust us enough to use us for something. But if you talk about abuse, that's another category, he does that, but again because he hates us. "Iuwine knew.

"It doesn't matter if he trusts us, its enough if he listens and communicates. But if one tries to talk with him, without a chance. He thinks everyone will be frightened if he behaves like a spoiled kid, "Shane said.

"He thinks," Iuwine nodded, "but I guess that's why he's still having fun with you, if you start to fear him, you won't be interesting to him." He clarified.

"Fear him," Shane laughed, "I want to know what he is afraid of, bastard." He caught his neck dissatisfied as he felt the black collar.

"Afraid of? Prince Nielle?" Iuwine through, "He's afraid of lot of things, like dogs, nights outside, Lacrisans, torture and I guess that his father, but I don't know for sure."

Shane looked at him in surprise: "What? Nielle? "He didn't understand.

"Yes." Iuwine nodded.

"Is he afraid of dogs?" He didn't believe.

"Dogs, wolfs, overall," he added.

"I get it, dogs can be dangerous, I still understand this one. But Lacrisans? He is abusing us. You said he hated us. "He didn't understand.

"He hates us," he nodded, "But that doesn't mean he's not afraid of us." clarified.

"Why would he be afraid of us?" Shane didn't know.

"I don't know the details. In the past, on one trip to Lacris, his carriage was lost, I heard that he was kidnapped, but no one knows, the king wasn't very interested in the truth. Everyone was looking for him for months, then he came on his own," he said, "no one knows what happened, but Prince Nielle changed considerably after the arrival. I guess he went through nothing pleasant."

"He disappeared for months?" Shane asked, "How old was he?"

"I think he was ten," he added.

"That's why he's a dick?" Shane asked.

"Sometimes he is, but overall it was a change for the better." Iuwin clarified.

"The better?" Shane didn't understand Shane, "I don't know what bastard he had to be before if this is better."

"He was just cute, I would say like a frightened cat, but cute. One couldn't help but wanted to pet him." Iuwine clarified.

"Cute," Shane laughed, "Why it was a change for the better if he was cute?"

"Do you think the country needs cute princes? It needs capable princes. "Iuwin clarified.

Shane looked out of the window and asked, "Not that I believed you, but I don't see the reason you tell me all that," he added.

"You can't use those information to hurt him but maybe you could get closer to him if you know something. Prince Louis has recently been uneasy that Prince Nielle isn't getting along with anyone. In Alycante, it is quite important that the Prince and his Lacrisan have a good relationship, it will be for the best if you get closer and he won't be unnecessarily worried." Iuwine said.

"Why wouldn't I use those information to hurt him?" Shane laughed.

"Try, you will find out." Iuwine said.

And so they sat in silence. Iuwin in his own thoughts and Shane in his oen, wondering how to use the information he has found. Better to scares Nielle and to get something, for example, his black ring. Or at least a little bit of satisfaction.

And he didn't know yet that Alycante was perfect for these matters and that he would have a lot of opportunities for Nielle's teasing. Because although Nielle was in Rinsel in the advantage, in Alycante it was a different story.

***

In Alycante, as well as in Inefy, there was chaos. Once the Infeys from Alycante contacted the government, nothing was going on simply. The king, who couldn't bear the idea that Ylre betrayed them for another traitor, took the steps that made everyone uncomfortable. He let all Rue's gift from luck to be brought out from the ancestral treasury and throw them as baits to the world of people.

The gifts of luck were things that the highest Infey was given directly from the source of luck during his birth. Every thing was different, someone had a necklace, someone had a bow, someone had a sword and someone even got more of them.

Specifically, Rue got three things on his birth. The ring as the gift for the next king and the other two, which were a symbol of his relationship with luck. All of them were locked in the treasury, to which only the king and some of the highest had access.

Overall, the government consisted of the ten highest Infeys, counselors who helped the king with his work. Whenever it was necessary to solve something, they discussed what to say to the king and what to solve themselves.

Each of them had self -confidence and power to do their part. However, each of them worshiped his ancestors and luck. Therefore, although Rue was a prisoner, although he wasn't what he once was, no one wanted to release the possessions of Infey to ordinary people.

However, the king's anger couldn't be tamed, and since no one could be able to comply with his plan, the gifts from the luck that belonged to Rue were ultimately pulled out and used to create a trap. No one was sure whether the traitors were at all in Alycanate, no one knew whether they were going to Alycante. However, the king was clearly not in the mood to receiving protests. He let everyone in Alycante and nearby cities know that there will be a tournament for rare prizes, expecting to attract the traitors.

"It doesn't matter if Ylre betrayed us or not, Rue clearly goes to Alycante to create other problems! I won't leave him to run around the world and destroy everything again. "The king said.

Many middle class Infeys were convened to guard and control the roads leading to Alycante. Some patrols supervised Alycante itself, some went to nearby cities.

Since the Church was controlled by Infey, there was nothing easier than making one of the greatest annual festivities in Alycante something for their benefit.

However, the king was probably the only one who was satisfied with the plan and couldn't wait for the results.

"Do we really show them to ordinary people?" One of the Infeys stared at the brilliant gifts from luck, "It felt like touching the source itself when I saw them. I was born by the source, I live here all my life, I have a piece of my highest's luck in me so I am accustomed to the presence of luck and still I felt like this. What will it do with ordinary people? "

"If you don't want king to throw you in the cell, shut your mouth." One of the Infeys said and unlocked the treasury, although he also didn't want to do this strange work, which basically violated everything that luck has ever commanded.

"I shouldn't have to talk with them. Nothing would happen if I ignored them. My work for the other church would be fine, we wouldn't attempt to anger lucj by doing this. It's a sin. You know it's a sin, right? "Kaye didn't understand how the king can be so blinded by hatred of his son that he will violate the rules for him.

"You all talk about luck, but I'm the only one who is sorry for him?" One of the Infey, who helped to transport things, asked.

"You're not." He said the second.

"I hope he's not in Alycante... because if he finds out what the king has done, he will be destroyed."

"Do you sympathize with the sinner? "Kaye didn't understand.

,,Sinner or not. Imagine luck, the luck itself, which you will never touch, giving you the gifts. Luck alone would give you gifts and you would watch how the common people are trying to win them. It's like if Infey gives up on him."

"Auch," the second Infey said, "it hurt me for him."

"Stop," Kaye imagined it, "like, I don't want the luck to be angry, but he wasn't supposed to run out of the cell."

,,He wasn't."

"He wasn't, but-" another tried, but one of the highest, who was in charge of organizing the plan in charge of Rue and Ylre simply silenced everyone.

"One more word to the sinner's good and I'll let all your highest to break the connection with you. Do you want to change in the dust? So toss the gifts out. " Said the Infey, whose words forced the remaining Infeys to lower their eyes in silence. Some of them had to grab their knees to keep standing, some of them withdrew and touched their stomach as they were scared only from his presence and nodded.

The highest Infey watched as a group of middle Ifeys brought Rue's gift of luck from the treasury and slowly approached them.

He looked at them for a while and said, "If luck allows them to really disappear, it means that Rue's time in Infey really ended," he said monotonously, although in his words could be heard a piece of compassion, "move them." He said.

"Arlys." He heard a well -known voice behind him.

"Crey, do you want something? I'm busy as you can see." Arlys asked, and gave another highest Infey a look at how it wasn't customary for them to get involved in the work of others.

"I heard that the king had given you the task of catching Ylre with Rue and bringing them to Infey." Crey said.

"Yes." Arlys didn't know where he was going.

"I'm joining." Crey said.

"Really? What do I thank for the help? "Arlys didn't understand but didn't sound pleased.

"Someone killed my guardian," Crey clarified, "I want to have a pretty long conversation with Ylre about it." He said.

Arlys stared at Crey for a while. The two of the highest usually didn't work together on missions. Their focus was divided around the world. However, if one asked for something, the other usually did it without any problems.

Arlys and Crey were one of the top highest. They both knew Rue and Ylre personally while they were children. But that didn't mean they intended to let them to do what they wanted if something happened since they were here for their job.

Arlys had long blonde hair that tuned beautifully with his golden eyes and a gold-white robe. Arlys had usually a job near Alycante and supervised the Church's operation, so this work also was on his shoulders. He worked in silence, precisely and quickly without minor mistakes, so the king loved him, although in fact the king appreciated only himself.

Crey was very similar to Arlys with his look, but his long blonde hair were always in a braid. His main work was to maintain order in the Infey and in some parts of the world. Where the Church didn't have enough power, he could step in. He was more cruel, militarily established and supervised the prison so the Rue's escape was also partly his fault.

Their work was completely different, their ways were completely different, but Arlys didn't reject him.

"If you don't create conflicts I will leave you to do the interrogation. I don't like those things so be my guest. If he really betrayed us, he deserves a lesson." Arlys promised.

Crey nodded, "I am very capable in givinig lessons."

Arlys knew he wasn't wrong. And although it was uncertain whether Ylre really betrayed them, whether they were at all in Alycante and what their goal is, they planned to clarify it soon. Because when they started to work, it didn't matter whether they went after a human or other Infey, they reached their goal.

And so Ylre had no idea how many problems in Alycante was waiting for them, but he was about to find out that soon.
